Try playing FF7 before saying that, this guy didn't even show anything interesting, he showed when Cloud was dressed up as a Shinra Soldier and that was it, no battles, no story, nothing.
its a program that helps you do a lot of things on your psp that you normally cant do. (i.e. watch youtube, dump umds,...) i used to have one but it eventually crashed and now im getting a pspgo. you need a pandora battery (which you can make or buy on ebay) and a actual link to the firmware (which is all over just google it or type it in on youtube)

For all you people having trouble the easiest way is to just buy it straight from the PSN store. As to have it this way you need to have custom firmware installed on your psp. I think it's around 10 bucks on the PSN I haven't checked but it's the easiest way to get it on there.

i have custom firmware 5.00 and i have downloaded all of the ffvii files and converted them into eboot and keys files but the problem is that when i load disc 1 and start a new game it just stays black ive ben working on this for 3 months now and ive have had no favorable outcome can you tell me what to do.
That is definately weird, but I am not knowledged in 4.00 and above custom firmware so I don't know if you have to do special things for certain isos or eboots. I know for a fact that 3.90 can run it flawlessly using 3.71 pops. When you load up popsloader, what are you selecting?

That's the same version I have. It's either a bad Eboot file, or you can also try something else: When starting ff7 hold down the R button so the POPSLOADER screen pops up giving a list of pops from I think it.s 3.40 up to 3.90... Choose 3.40 or 3.71 as those are the most compatible with the games.
when i tried any firmware under 5.50 m33-6 it didnt work i tried it on 5.50 m33-6 and 5.51 m33-6 and they worked and the official version of the game need 5.50+ firmware

Yes you can. Also, I heard ( am not too sure ) but if you are connected to the playstation store through your psp, that it downloads directly to your psp so all you have to do is buy it, download it and play it.
You can switch it off, if you buy it on ps3, its the same thing as on your psp since it shares the same account so you can delete it from your psp and put it to your ps3, and ps3 to psp and vice versa. Basically if you buy it, you can play it on both your ps3 and psp.
You then convert them with an ISO to EBOOT converter, like Impaler's program and other programs like that. Theres also already made Multidisk eboot's so you dont have to convert just download, put into your GAME folder on PSP>GAME>FinalFantasy7 ... make sure you put the keys.bin file inside with the eboot in there.
Guys also remember if you dont want to go through all that custom firmware, and iso hunting and converting and all that stuff, and dont want to risk bricking your psp. You can always just do it the easy way: Get on the Playstation network, pay 9.99 and do it from there, all you need is to download it to your psp and play it from your memory stick, no hacking required. And yes you can do it on a normal fresh bought from store non custom firmware ( hacked ) psp.
It depends on the iso, and how you compress it. Also depends if you do a Multi disk eboot ( you convert your iso into an eboot so the custom firmware on the psp can read it as a ps1 game. FF7 all 3 discs in one eboot is 1.6 GB on my psp, so I reccomend atleast 4gb sandisk to be comfortable.
I am sorry I no longer carry the iso. It was an iso that got taken out of my original ps1 copy that I legally own. That went when my other computer went down along with all of my files. If you have the original copy you can make your own ISO.

I beat this game 4 days after release day when I was way younger, all together that I remember I've beaten it around 11 times, most of those on the original ps1. And twice on the psp. I used to play nonstop when I was a kid, now it's harder to do and even if a game is great I always get sidetracked.

Yeah man, I saw that, it was pretty impressive, that tech demo. I wish it was a remake of the game, but with how things are going with remakes, they are probably gonna end up fucking it up ... I am very anxious for the Splatterhouse remake, but worried at the same time.
That's true, this game has aged dramatically, and compared to other games it's not the best. But FFXII and that has really disappointed me, I couldn't play it ... heres hoping ffxiii catches me like back in the Snes and ps1 final fantasies. if you want GOOD story, I reccomend The Darkness. I play that game for the story ALONE. Theres a ton of games out there that are underrated, that no one knows about yet their story is unbelievably genuine and original.

To everyone asking you need custom firmware for the sony PSP, The best out right now ( atleast for me ) Is 3.90 M33-3 .. It has a popsloader ( playstation loader ) that you can use any type of pops from previous firmwares... But remember first you need to downgrade your psp to 1.50 firmware, and work your way up from there to custom firmware.. Theres plenty of easy tutorials and installers out there. If anyone needs personal assistance just message me.

Yes firmware is real important, When I left the psp hacking scene couple of months ago, there were some psp's that actually aren't compatible nor downgradable.For your psp it needs to be downgraded to a lower firmware , and after you do that you need to upgrade to Dark_AleX 's firmware because that's the firmware that lets you use the psp as a ps1 full speed emulator. A Program recently came out that does this all for you from your computer. go to psp - news . dcemu . co . uk
The psp's chance are bricking are slim when downgrading, I've never had any problems, but if there is something you are not sure of, or don't know what to do next, then the best thing to do is not to do it, I have 3 psp's and all have been downgraded succesfully, although my cousin's psp could never be downgraded due to how they were manufactured. Sony is cracking up on hacking.

Hold the left and right triggers on the PSP and hit X to change the presentation format, depending on the emulator. See if that works.

Upgrade to 5.03 download ChickHEN R2 then download either CFE 3.30/whatever the current update is or 5.03GEN-A I went with GEN-A.

Get it modded, Let me know when you do, Make sure the Popsloader is 3.80. And when you do I can upload the Eboot on a site where you can download it, Mind you they are big.

i have a question
Is it one full EBOOD.PBP file or is is 3 separate files (Each file = Disk) because i have 3 seperate files of this game i unfortunatly dont have CFW on my PSP just yet (i will do soon though, ordered everything i need to get it done) so if i tried to run the first disk compleated it how would i play the second unless i already have a different save file? 5/5 on the video it rocked and the game looks better on PSP (my oppinion) well thanks anyway.

3 Final Fantasy is 1.5 Gigs in all. And most people have other stuff on it.

well i got custom firmware and each seperate EBOOT actualy had the same save code so i just save it when it asked me to at the end of disk 1 and run the disk 2 eboot file =) thanks anyway

I have all three, I made them last year.
Yeah that was a big problem with people but at least it had a easy solution.
I'm glad you have no problems, If are stuck on something with your Psp you can just ask me.

cheers but everythings fine, my cousin has a problem but its her memory card not PSP (its a fake memory card) and has aload of corupt data on it, its just buggering up basicaly lol cheers for the offer if anything comes up ill let you know =)

To everyone asking you need custom firmware for the sony PSP, The best out right now ( atleast for me ) Is 3.90 M33-3 .. It has a popsloader ( playstation loader ) that you can use any type of pops from previous firmwares... But remember first you need to downgrade your psp to 1.50 firmware, and work your way up from there to custom firmware.. Theres plenty of easy tutorials and installers out there. If anyone needs personal assistance just message me.

and you need pandoras battery which is 60-80$ depending if you get the 526mb- 2gb one
and most cfw do play it not exactly sure if theyl play it perfectly tho...

dude, u r so lucky u can do this, i've tried so many times wiv no success. First of all, i dnt understand all this "firmware" buisness, so obviously i aint gt a clue, cud u tell me how to do this please ? my psp is version 3.40 btw if thats important.

Yes firmware is real important, When I left the psp hacking scene couple of months ago, there were some psp's that actually aren't compatible nor downgradable.For your psp it needs to be downgraded to a lower firmware , and after you do that you need to upgrade to Dark_AleX 's firmware because that's the firmware that lets you use the psp as a ps1 full speed emulator. A Program recently came out that does this all for you from your computer. go to psp - news . dcemu . co . uk

The psp's chance are bricking are slim when downgrading, I've never had any problems, but if there is something you are not sure of, or don't know what to do next, then the best thing to do is not to do it, I have 3 psp's and all have been downgraded succesfully, although my cousin's psp could never be downgraded due to how they were manufactured. Sony is cracking up on hacking.
