Very good low light quality footage at Tallington there Ian. I must go there for some shots of the Tallington trip when it runs before it finishes altogether.
@MrDeltic15 thanks very much Darren - yes not sure when the Tarmac Tallington works are scheduled to close - do you remember when the loaded sleeper train derailed on the points? sadly did not see it myself but understand about half the train had left when the derailment happened leaving the train straddling the level crossing on the A16
@NapierNimbus Remember hearing about the derailment at the time, but don't think i've ever seen any footage. Bet that was chaotic on the A16 then - there's big queues there when the barriers are down at the best of times!
@MrDeltic15 indeed - must have been dreadful - am told the managers in hi-vis had to be called before the train could be separated to draw clear of the crossing leaving the derailed wagons to be recovered later. Track circuits would no doubt still detect train in section so must have over ridden that somehow to get the barriers up. Nightmare for all concerned
@cmeonthemove many thanks Chris- to be honest I prefer shots of the container trains to the empty Plasmors so that worked out well especially the sound of the 66 winding itself up - would have been more annoyed if was shooting the plasmors and missed the container train
What a peach of a video! The 91 horns are awesome,imagine if they'd been fitted to HSTs! 67028 was doing well with that 91 set.Nice to see 43113 "The Highlands" finishing the vid off.Lovely.
