Still playing this game daily, SP and MP. Bullet trajectories are quite realistic and getting hit by enemy fire is realistic aswell, one hit on the head is fatal. Using mods only improve the experience and make AI (enemy and friendly) deadly as hell. Using the mods of templar and his free roam on a map this huge is fabulous...if you know how to play, but most people dont know. Supremacy is my favourite MP style, currently on a firm 4th position of the rankings and 459th overall. I love it!!!
Even though some things were well done (weapons, movement, hit detection, graphics...) this game was a massive fail. Ironically Red River is even a bigger fail. That's the reason we won't see any more war games from Codemasters. It's official!
Britain has a very long and diverse histroy, just because it is from lots of different countries is not a bad thing because these people that have came from different lands have given us information and things like for example the Romans invented the aquaduct and stuff amd we used this knowledge to our advantage and therefore Britain became very prosperous, very powerful and produced lots of stuff to be exported. The British Empire controlled 25% of the world at one time.
I noticed that the enemies don't take cover. Not very realistic is it? I mean three guys standing in the middle of a field shooting all around them like sitting ducks, another running down the field in the open firing. And another guy shooting from above a hedge.

@VerpeiltTv the footage is not multiplayer but the game does have multiplayer in it but it only has up to 8 players with 3 game types co-op infiltration and im not sure of the name of the last one but its a team death match and there is a add-on for a conquest game type, in multiplayer each team has a wide number of units AKA they are all AI but each player takes the role they want and they command the AI there should be at least 30 and there is 4 in a squad.
i love it that if you order the fall back order they trow smoke and get in cover or halt they get into cover and the fact that it's a great tactical game you need to think
@SgtKickYourAss Mission editor is only on the pc.I'm using the single player overhaul mod on mine which gives you 350 extra missions that different people have made using the editor.

of2 is fun but gets a tad boring, the only epic moment that I ever really had was online when I sneaked through the enemy defenses with a sniper rifle and a smg, that was really fun

Of course AI behaviour is editable, TemplarGFX has a mod out for the AI now that improves the vanilla AI greatly, just as the ACE 2 mod does with ARMA IIs vanilla AI, Because they were both crap. I can't play either game without those mods because it just feels awful to play. Im not going to be a fanboy and shout which games the best, I just expressed my opinion based on experiences...
DCS: Blackshark (and soon to be DCS warthog) are absolutely perfectly completely realistic. Unfortunately they only deal with flying, and TBS (a spin off that has all units, the name stands for the battle simulator) is unreleased/not going to be released or something :(
I've learnt a good trick if u tell your fire teams too "fall back" onto a position in front that you want too attack, which is quite well defended or too initiate a pincer or whatever, they throw smoke grenades and stuff.
Imagine operation flashpoint dragon rising big opened maps with the vehicles, mag missions and massive player ability with weapon customization, then to top it off with BC2 kick ass graphics with the kick ass destructive abilitys.... what would you guys think of that game, i think it would kick every game ass on earth >:D

you are awful at commanding large groups of men...i agree though the AI is poor at shooting. the enemy does use cover but you have to catch them out in the open so they cant. i agree the ai is shoddy in places though
This video makes the game look fun.....I bought it and played it 5 minutes cause I thought it sucked. Feels like when your running that your on your tippy toes. And you can't lean left or right to look around objects. But this video makes the game look good! I'm still an ARMA 2 fan.

@VerpeiltTv the footage is not multiplayer but the game does have multiplayer in it but it only has up to 8 players with 3 game types co-op infiltration and im not sure of the name of the last one but its a team death match and there is a add-on for a conquest game type, in multiplayer each team has a wide number of units AKA they are all AI but each player takes the role they want and they command the AI there should be at least 30 and there is 4 in a squad.

@SgtKickYourAss Mission editor is only on the pc.I'm using the single player overhaul mod on mine which gives you 350 extra missions that different people have made using the editor.

@CARBINEZzZz I have both I think this is better gameplay wise, its more intense when you are getting shot at the AI is smarter (but still dumb) graphics are better particle effects are better animations are better etc etc. Other than that, yeah. I guess ArmA II does rape this game..lol.

Of course AI behaviour is editable, TemplarGFX has a mod out for the AI now that improves the vanilla AI greatly, just as the ACE 2 mod does with ARMA IIs vanilla AI, Because they were both crap. I can't play either game without those mods because it just feels awful to play. Im not going to be a fanboy and shout which games the best, I just expressed my opinion based on experiences...

DCS: Blackshark (and soon to be DCS warthog) are absolutely perfectly completely realistic. Unfortunately they only deal with flying, and TBS (a spin off that has all units, the name stands for the battle simulator) is unreleased/not going to be released or something :(

I've learnt a good trick if u tell your fire teams too "fall back" onto a position in front that you want too attack, which is quite well defended or too initiate a pincer or whatever, they throw smoke grenades and stuff.

you are awful at commanding large groups of men...i agree though the AI is poor at shooting. the enemy does use cover but you have to catch them out in the open so they cant. i agree the ai is shoddy in places though

This video makes the game look fun.....I bought it and played it 5 minutes cause I thought it sucked. Feels like when your running that your on your tippy toes. And you can't lean left or right to look around objects. But this video makes the game look good! I'm still an ARMA 2 fan.
