We're not witches or devil worshipers or child rapists - now those people have shit to talk about. Some atheist groups seem bent on harassing religious groups but I don't think it's worth our time. Just leave them alone and we can go have some beers.

With an atheist group you could show people that there is a alternative to the religious nonsense. That you don't go to hell for having premarital sex, being gay or using condoms. Logically it doesn't make any sense, you are right, but in reality you could help a lot of people ... if you are doing it right.

My atheist club talked about helping the school to be more equal and fair to it's students, regardless of creed, religion, race blabbityblah. We were tight with the GSSA, but everyone else fucking hated us. We were told to take it off the school grounds. Finally, the teacher who hosted GSSA let us meet in her room. In secret. We joined GSSA so that we could meet at the same time and talk about different stuff.
