In fact, studies have even shown that not only do the majority of gay people share common aspects in certain chromosomes, but there is a significant natural difference in the brain when comparing gays and lesbians to those of heterosexuals and that it is not some kind of defect or disease.

I pretty much so agree with what you say but in terms of gays not fitting a stereotype of being sex atypical: A study was done by Ivanka Savic in Sweden recenty that claimed that in terms of the number of neuron-connections in the right and left sides of the amygdala in the brain, straight men were like homosexual women and straight women were like straight men in this area

Again, I'm not arguing that point. My point is that YOU emphasized that NINTY percent are heterosexual. And depending on who's figures you use, that's either a rate that's TEN times the rate of gay people (assuming a 2% population) or is equal on a pecentage basis (if the gay popluation of the US is 90% straight, 10% gay.)

I'm not arguing what's a disease. I'm stating this occurs either tenfold or approximately the same equal to the population of gay/straight. Again, figures can vary wildly and while the actions are abhorent, no case has been made tying sexuality (gay or straight) as the primary factor in whether one becomes a pedophile. There's more than ancedotal evidence pointing to early sexual abuse or ongoing sexual exposure of child, that creates an ongoing pattern of abuse from generation to generation.

That's 0.075% of known species (less than 1/10th of 1%) have shown such behavior. That's statistically insignificant and points more to being an aberration or 'freak' of nature. How can we justify using animal behavior to rationalize ours? Some animals eat their young, is this considered natural for humans too? Perhaps gay being 'natural' is the myth.

I don't doubt that it does feel 'normal' to the person who'd living that life, just like being born blind feels natural to a blind person. My point is that it's pointless and to argue that nature intended for some to be blind when others can see or that it intended same sex relationships when we're obviously built to procreate with the opposite sex. There are 'freaks of nature' with unintended characteristics, and given the miniscule numbers, I feel homosexuality falls into that category too.

In my experience, most homosexual men fit the stereotype. At least 90%. I personally do not think that one is a myth. I believe one is born gay, and therefore, born to act more masculine or feminine. The key lies in the brain, and how it responded to hormones during development. Knowing right from wrong doesn't help a lot for people who are so drawn to that sickness. From what I have read it's like heroin - except they can fight it for a long time before giving in. Wouldn't it be nice if there were a cure? It's not about sex - it's about control - so in that way it's similar to guys who beat their wives or some folk who can't do without the kinky stuff. I agree that it has to be stopped, but would prefer treatment to punishment for the offenders.

I had a conversation with a group of senior-citizen friends of mine last week. The majority of them (everybody but me) said that "gay marriage is a threat to traditional marriage" etc.
It's my opinion that divorce is a MUCH bigger threat to "traditional" marriage. What do you think?
