  • How much is 1 of these rifles ?

  • @alexrodriguez13277 Depends. The majority of the 98ks are Russian Captures and the Wehrmacht issued stampings go from $250-300. The SS stampings like BNZ go around $400-500. Vet Bringbacks go from $1000-1500. Then you could get a lesser price depending on the condition of the metal, stock, and etc.

  • What can I compare the recoil with?

  • @OldekampD6 .30-06.

  • @OldekampD6 The 8x57 bullet is actually bigger than the 30-06.

  • Don't pull the clip out. Simply slide the bolt forward and it comes out with a satisfying ping. It's meant to function that way.

  • ive seen a couple k98 vids, and it seems like a lot of people have trouble with that bolt. can someone tell me why that is?

  • @Frostbite720 probably powder residue and/or old oil/grease built up in the bolt locking lug recesses. Nothing proper cleaning and some elbow grease can't fix.

  • I love the kar98!

  • @bboyk1d i love the mosin

  • ca we please see the shoots actually beimng fired?

  • why is the gun get so stiff?

    thanks for the vid

  • is that a 30-06

  • @dalemailhot3 7.92x57mm

  • That's cool

  • Nice toy u have there. I ordered one off of guns america about 4 and half months ago and all I can say about this gun is Classic fun.

  • The guy from Mythusters!

  • niceSssSsS Gun You Got TheRe

  • Back in NAM

  • Great rifle

  • hey no fair where did u get that! I wanna play with it next

  • nice vid but you might wanna put some oil on the bolt to make the recocking and reloading of it a lot easier

just pull this swich on the left side of the bolt and pull the bolt back and pull it out. put oil on it and put it back lol simple right.

  • FUCKIN SEXY, oh and the gun to

  • call of duty 2 <3

  • I clicked the ads and supported you. Do I get a free cookie?

    Or the Karabiner, rather? :D

  • @DarkPikaruto You get a cookie. =)

  • Mau5er :)

  • I love bolt action guns

  • Nice! Love the old bolt actions that let you know when it's being fired...(ha)

  • A real rifle, from a war where you actually had to aim to hit ;) Although i love my C8 IUR, this is just awesome

  • Does your Karabiner have the seal of the third reich?

  • @namfamily2202 It does, but they're not outstanding. You can see where they are, but over time (and some careless maintenance by the previous owners) they've lost a lot of detail.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 Where did you buy it, If I may ask?

  • @namfamily2202 Bought it at a local gunshop.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 how can you tell when it was manufactured? or is that just the information they gave you? thanks in advance.

  • @zenREVolution There are stamps on the receiver indicating the date of manufacture, factory of manufacture, as well as proof stamps and various armory stamps and propaganda stamps.

  • @MosinDragunov1897 I think he means P08 Luger

  • how much money is this gun?

  • @ultraintensegamer Not much, you could probably find one on a shelf for $400 from what i've heard. Much less if you're buying in a private market, maybe $200-300

  • Karabiner 98 ftw!

  • A nice rifle indeed

The mosin nagant has a smoother bolt to me,it rarely jams. But the K98 is more easily loaded with the stripper clips.

I shot with a K98k, and i sometimes had a bit stiffer bolt reopening. Its a shame 7.92mmx57 mauser issent as common as 7.62x54R. Its a good thing alot of companies produce it though

  • beautiful rifle

  • @MosinDragunov1891,

what is the year of ur k98? and what waffenamnts do you have on it?

  • Oh you are from USA. i was schocked, I thought you were from China or Japan, where the total gun ban... :-P

  • Join the SWAG ( something we Asians got)

  • @MegaExplosives Oder "Schwag" Was wir deutschen haben. Wie das gewehr. (Kar98k) kein asian...

  • Hey MosinDragunov, I read about a test that was conducted with all prominent bolt-actions of WWII. SMLE, Mauser, Mosin, Springfield, etc. The type 38 was the strongest action and the only action not to blow up, only the over-pressured barrel.

  • how much would one like that cost

  • thats my fav gun i play W@W

  • hey shouldnt u be shooting a type 97 arisaka or somthing

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys I wish I had a type 97.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 why it is a piece of shit the best ww2 bolt action is the mosin nagant i have 3

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys The only bad about the Type 97 was the telescopic sight was not adjustable by the rifleman. The special 6.5mm ammo used in it was fantastic for the environments since it was sufficently powerful and with a lower powder charge, had no muzzle flash, very little recoil, and barely any sound signature. Up until metal became scarce, Japan had the best metallurgy in the world, making the receiver one of the strongest (if not the strongest) in the world.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 and another bad thing bout it is its made in japan it sucks period and every gun with gun powder has to have atleast a little muzzle flash iv shot an arisaka before it sucked ass it alwas jammed not accurate and it looks stupid im stickin to the mosins

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys However, the Arisaka has the strongest receiver in the world due to the metallurgy at the time. There is a Type 38 (6.5mm) that was converted to fire a .30-06 (7.62mm )cartridge but not rebarreled. It was tested by an NRA group and was found to function just fine. The rifle resized the bullet to fit down the bore. Also, the length of the barrel on the Type 38 and Type 97 meant the powder of the special sniper round had burned complete by the time the bullet left the barrel.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 i know what a type 38 is lol but idk i just hate all japenese weapons most of them were just coppied off another gun like the nambu type 14 looks like a luger the type 100 looks like a sten and the body of it looks like the italian smg moschetto the type 99 looks like a bren they even have a japenese hand gun that looks like a mauser c96 and im sure there is more i cant think of at the moment

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys The Bren was a copy of a Czech ZB-26. The Type 96 and the Type 99 (same family of MG's) were original designs which took very little from the original ZB-26. The first Bren Mark I rifle left the factory in September 1937. The Type 96 was accepted into service in 1936. They were essentially adopted at the same time.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 still i hate japenese weapons

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys Then that's your opinion. Don't try confuse it with fact.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 japenese weapons do suck and that is a fact

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys I'm sorry to burst your opinionated bubble, but it's not fact. You have not presented one scrap of fact to support your position. Please, shut your trap.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 go fuck urself

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys The Type 100 and the Sten were old designs based on the MP.18 Schmeisser which was designed in 1917. The Sten was adopted and produced from 1941 to 1945 while the Type 100 was adopted and produced from 1940 to 1945. They are both copies, however, of an older weapon.

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys The Nambu Type 14 was only a copy of the P.08 Luger in that it's grip was at a very sharp angle. The Nambu was instead a hybrid of the P.08 (the overall shape) and the C.96 (the recoiling bolt). It was a very decent handgun with it's only 2 problems being the spring losing it's strength with use and the low powered 8mm cartridge.

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys There never was a Japanese handgun that looked like the C.96.

If you're saying a gun is a copy (and therefore inferior) because it looks the same as another, you must agree that the G3 is a bad rifle because the Spanish had created the CETME before the Germans built the G3. You must also agree that the G43 rifle was poor because it was heavily influenced by the SVT-40. How do you feel about the Springfield M1903? Because that was a copy of the Mauser Gew.98.

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys You obviously were given a rifle which wasn't care for or maintained. I've handled last ditch Type 99's and a variety of other Arisaka rifles with no problem. Accuracy was great but was determined by quality of ammunition. I've had more trouble with Mosin-Nagants than I have Arisakas. If I was to be as quick to judge as you, I'd be bad mouthing the Mosin simply based on misinformation and one bad experience.

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys That has got to be the most ignorant statement I've ever read. The Mosin is not the greatest bolt action of WWII. It was crude and wasn't very accurate, The Mauser however is known for it accuracy and superb machining.

  • @uscgkid109 no lots of ww2 bolt actions were very inaccurat but when im behind the mosin i shoot awsome and u think the mosin was inaccurate what bout the type 97 it sucked why do u think they just said fuck it and put there bayonets on and charged at the allied lines instead of shootin at them cause the japenese guns suck the springfield o3 sniper rifle was the most accurate

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys yea well I happen to own a Mauser, Mosin, and a 1903 Springfield, and by far the mosin in the most inaccurate, I shoot competition, and I'm on a college rifle team so I'm a pretty good shot. The Mauser is by far more accurate than the Mosin, even though the Mosin's bore is in better shape. The Mauser and the '03 are basically the same gun. The Springfield is a copy of the Mauser design

  • @uscgkid109 its the most inacurate cause u dont own a type 97 if u did it would be the most inacurate and i own over 60 guns my ww2 guns are lee enfield 3 mosin nagants 1 springfield 1 mauser 98k one winchester model 1897 trench gun luger p08 nagant revolver walther po8 and a couple more and i shoot every day i comptition shoot at my local gun club i hunt as well so i also am a grade A+ at shooting

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys I suppose since I down own a McLaren F1, it makes it a bad car. So since I own a Subaru wagon, it's the best car. Just because you own something, doesn't make it the best, and just because you own a lot of something, doesn't mean you're the most knowledgeable about it. Also, there is no "Walther po8". I think you tried to type "P38" but how you can miss the "3" key and instead hit the "o" key is beyond me. Learn more fact, then come back when you have more than an opinion.

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys your bore is probably bad on it, plus it's probably a late production. Those were poorly made because they need to quickly make rifles for the front. If you note, the Mauser action is still in use today, It's a great system, most hunting rifles use it. Including the Remington 700 which is used by the Military.

  • @uscgkid109 i know i have no problem with the mauser 98k

  • @uscgkid109 oh and guns fire more accurate when the barrel is dirty just to let you know

  • @MrDip02 I wouldn't say it has to be dirty, just used. The residue left after shooting and cleaning it a few times fills in the imperfections in the rifling and gives a smoother surface for the bullet to press against.

  • @uscgkid109 hmmmm mosin nagant 0.75 to 1.5 moa inaccurate you're just a shit hole of a shit most quality mosin nagants beat the shit out of a kar98k and if you actually new about rifles you would know that but wait i doubt you do the the kar98k is the same moa

  • @uscgkid109 and for more accurate groupings single loading the rounds will give you better results and the kar98k can't single load since it's a control fed bolt system and can't be single fed and you have to insert the round in the magazine for the claw extractor to ride of the rim and catch onto unlike the mosin nagant were it's a push fed system and can grab the rim when it's in the chamber the there are million of mosin some are just bad quality you expect them to be all the same?

  • @MegaTrailerparkboys If you actually researched and knew firearms, you'd know several things. The Type 97 was sniper rifle, not a regular army rifle. The bayonet charge was the last resort and was a terrifying psychological attack. ALL WWII bolt action rifles were accurate regardless of country of origin. The wartime M1903A4 was a horrible rifle with 2 groove rifling and a relatively weak powered scope which was not waterproofed and would fog up frequently.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 i know everything there is to know buddy im just making a joke!!!

  • Is this weapon easy to handle? You seemed to be having a bit of trouble with the bolt a few times.

  • @MrCrimsonLance The weapon is fair to handle. The bolt was sticking because I hadn't scrubbed the recesses where the locking lugs lock into the receiver.

  • @MrCrimsonLance mines fluid as hell, and in muuuuch worse condition than this guys - can empty the mag in no time

  • a good shooter sometimes doesnt blink when he shoots. you are a good shooter.

  • i like your vids and the guns you shoot. keep up the good work!

  • my father owns a kar98k and its a real "ass" to shoot because of the kick. when you shoot press it more firm against your shoulder. it helps a lot. haha when i first shot it the stock was an inch from my shoulder and nearly popped it out of place. but yeah just remember the shoulder thing and it will be easier to shoot.

  • @dcshoesguy1

thats a mans weapon you know :D

  • Good rifle but I think that the Lee Enfield is still the best bolt action rifle

  • İs this weapon original.İf it is then i am interested in purchasing it

  • @IsengardMordor It's original from 1941, manufactured in Berlin.

  • This has nothing to do with the video but you look like David So from Davidsocomedy.... Srry David... But you looker more in shape than him... Just look him up on youtube.

  • I was going to say something about shouldering your rifle, but then I saw the whole 'I was new to shooting', so nice vid.

  • Why is that most games with guns such this, very rarely sound this good? Just a quick pointless thud like a Pidgeon hit your window?

  • I definately don't know for sure or anything, but being left-handed, it seems easier to shoot with your left hand and cycle the bolt with your right, as opposed to shooting and cycling all with your right hand. I don't know, will it throw off the aim too much or something? Or what?

  • @azncommie97 It's all about what's more comfortable for the shooter. Some people are left hand/eye dominant and find it easier to shoot and operate the bolt using their left hand. The majority of people are right hand/eye dominant so everything is biased towards that group.

  • mau5!

  • Didnt that hurt your face after awhile or shoulder??

  • Herro Mr. Chow, sorry but i had to say it :D

  • after reading all these semi-racist comments on here i'll say this:

during wwii when the German army was starting to lose many soldiers in russia and france, the germans gave captured Russians a choice of going to a POW camp or fighting for germany. There were many different ethnicities in the german army, including indians, russians, chinese, etc. so you would see an asian soldat shooting a kar98 in normandy. if interested in reenacting wwii visit: 709th.org

  • no offense man but were you even aiming at anything? you're going through that ammo like it's nothing.

  • @Kaptk112 Some clay pigeons I set up on the back stop.

  • @MosinDragunov1891

oh ok i was just wondering because you were shooting off pretty fast

  • now lets see your target

  • I recentley acquired a '39 Polish 98k from my cousin, and I can tell you, that barrel and the handguard get damned hot. (Burned my hand around three times on the wood forestock)

  • @Halofan535

a polish k98 is not actually a "k98" it was a knock off designed by the polish, called the WZ-29

  • i clicked the add like 20 times

  • i have my ariska

  • mosin nagant is chevy mauser k98 is cadilac

  • its got such a smooth bolt action my second fav bolt action rifle the 1st has to be a lee enfield

  • Not supposed to lift your head from the stick while working the bolt. :)

  • A lot of people are apparently trolling because of your race and the origin of the gun. I, for one, do not give a shit what your race is or who made the gun or anything. I like the video and others I have seen from you, therefore I subscribe.

  • the power of the kar98k sounds so intense man

  • @MrFreakshow26 It's not that bad. I was relatively new to shooting when I made this video so I was doing a very amateur technique of absorbing the recoil.

  • i'd pay to fire that, i love the reload for some reason

  • wish I could find one of these or an m96 or something.

  • Cool video but I don't remember that the kar98 had that much recoil.

  • Just some constructive criticism. You're squeezing the trigger a bit too fast. I see you, also, flinching; you don't want that. You want the gun to startle you when it goes off.

  • My grandad owns a Kar98k re-chambered to 7.62 NATO, but sadly I will never get to shoot it as my grandma is a pacifist and refuses to allow it to be removed from its cabinet. Sigh.

  • @RealDiaboy Being a pacifist is one thing. Denying history from future generations is another.

  • @RealDiaboy you could buy one ! its pretty cheap! cost maybe 300-400 dollars

  • @11mrjarjar He has since offered to give it to me, but sadly, living in the UK makes owning a rifle difficult. In practice I'd need to go to a shooting club regularly and have a permanent residence somewhere, but I rent flats and move around, so not the easiest thing in the world. When I've settled down someplace then who knows! I'll have to try and convince him to take it out when I next go visit. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

  • @RealDiaboy Wait until she dies.

  • @CrazyBeatlesFanatic ....GRANDMA! D:

  • @RealDiaboy most likely an Israeli capture

  • @Guitar123DK I know. It's alright though because it's not malicious. Racism is okay when it's in jest and no ill is behind it.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 The Arisaka is a Japanese rifle that Japan used during World War 2. And... well your Asian (but you knew that). That's why 11mrjarjar said that.

  • @datsLEGIT "Asian" does not equate to "Japanese". Otherwise "American" could equate to "Hispanic".

Just a minor nitpick but it's just a tad frustating when you constantly get that same comment over and over. =)

  • @MosinDragunov1891 I wasn't using it against you, I was just helping explain. Sorry if I offended.

  • @datsLEGIT It's alright. No offense taken. It's mostly just that it's a comment that I get way too often. I'd feel the same way towards other inane comments made by people over and over again.

  • How much would a WWII kar98k cost?

  • @BRONCOWEN anywhere from 200-900 depends on the condition of the rifle, if there are any matching numbers, what waffenamnts are still on them.

  • @Kaptk112 You have an awesome collection, I just have an M1 Carbine and a Mosin-Nagant. Where did you get your WWII rifles?

  • You should be shooting the Arisaka ahahaha XD

  • @11mrjarjar Why's that?

  • @MosinDragunov1891 he's being racist haha.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 Because you're Asian, the Arisaka is a Japanese WWII rifle.

  • @11mrjarjar cuz your asian, and arisaka is japanese!! but im just messin with you!! :D good video! im gonna get a kar98 soon myself!

  • you couldnt even reload it,What a fail

  • @UnDeRArMored7 You couldn't even upload any videos or a user picture. What a fail.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 Well maybe i just joined today, Oh double fail

  • @UnDeRArMored7 Joined just to negatively comment? Sorry, but you're not proving your point.

  • Chinese people with OUR guns

    TUT tut

  • @PARTICLEZXz Never knew the Kar98k was made by the UK or that I had stolen this gun. Wow, thanks for commenting and proving how pointless your keyboard is.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 well im 1/4 german and 3/4 english so yeah..

  • @PARTICLEZXz And I'm 100% not Chinese.

  • Sorry my friend, but this guy ( watch?v=0corvK5t5CE ) would beat you so hard in Mauser-Shooting... :D

No problem. Good movie! Greets from germany! :P

  • nice man

  • LOL my comment came out a little wrong. I meant I like how you operate the bolt with professionalism and smooth-motion.

  • Love how smoothly you handle the bolt. Cool gun and history behind it. Nice vid.

  • @tizeret Congratulations. You've been blocked. Learn some class and manners before you get on the internet again.

  • I love the sound when he reloads

  • That is pretty awesome i liked this weapon in cod waw.....haha :D

Kick back looks like a bitch to get use to.

  • @halomegabloks24335 it doesnt that much, I like mine alot.

  • @TheB0ulevardz haha ok thats very nice then :D love the videos :D

  • @halomegabloks24335 this isnt my account bud, I have a bunch of WWI/ WWII guns, I have a 1900 Steyr a Mauser Karibiner 98, A Mauser Karibiner 98 kruz (short) the Belgian Browning .32, Luger P08, Luger 38, Springfeild '03, Gewehr 41 and 43, and a couple Colt 1911s, and thyis llittle italian Corbout or something like that.

  • @TheB0ulevardz lol yeah i see that now i was on my phone so i didnt notice the name lol.

dang thats alot of guns very cool :D

  • @halomegabloks24335 yeah, they all are in perfect firing condition, if you live in the US you can buy a Karibiner 98 or 98kruz for about $360 and a m1 garand for 300

  • Those things kick HARD. It left a bruise on my shoulder for a while. I liked it! It's a powerful weapon! Awesome video by the way.

  • lol china

  • @nance2uable lol comment that has no relevant content.

  • does an 8mm have more or less recoil than a 7mm? good shooting like your vids a lot

  • @airsoft1301 I've never fired a 7mm mauser before. I just don't have too much of an interest in buying one and I don't exactly have a lot of money to spare, so it's rather low on my list of firearms I want to buy.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 no prob are all the guns on your vids yours and do u buy them?

  • @airsoft1301 Yes, I own all the guns in my videos except where I note in the description that they belong to someone else.

  • @MosinDragunov1891 how much was the kar98

  • @MosinDragunov1891 My dad owned a 7mm mauser "Post WW1 Custom" and comparative to my 670A Winchester "downgraded model 70" 30-06 its roughly the same but slightly less recoil but more of a distinct sound and a flatter trajectory then the 30-06. Rifle wise its a do all rifle from Big Game like Deer and Bear to rabbits and paper targets.

  • Im gonna get one at the next gun show im going to I cant wait.

  • im shootin one of these tomorrow. cant wait. looks like a good rifle! what rounds do they fire?

also godda love all the haters haha.

    nice shootin man

  • @Fr0z3nFr0g The Kar98k fires the 7.92x57mm round. Also known as the "8mm Mauser".
