I just watched Cate in "Veronica Guerin" and was very impressed not only with her acting but her very decent Dublin accent. I don't know anyone in Hollywood who can do such a natural sounding Irish accent. Well done Cate! (As if you'd read this!)

Well, it was not bad, but the first film really blew me away and this one did not.

In the golden age, everything looks beautiful and the acting is excellent, but there is not any development in the characters. Maybe the most important difference :in 'Elizabeth' we see the development from a young, innocent girl to The Virgin Queen. In the Golden age she just observes, but seems to be unaffected at the end.
