  • Nice Vocal every time ! .....the guitar is self explanatory ☺

  • Frank Hannon Band shows are the funnest ever....the tunes...the musicanship...everything

  • awsome very few people could do that, very good !!!!

  • get Tesla's Reel to Reel......fcuking awesome tunes.........all covers, and done so well, you'd think they were the actual band.......killer

  • Perfect!!!! I saw this video at side of my screen, and my first impresion was..."another band trying to play Rush", but when I hear I can't press stop... you realy realised this song man... the more perfect cover I've ever heard... I love Rush and I love this song, and Its dificult to me see another one play Rush beside then, but you you deserve it... Congratulations.. I hope some day hear it live....

  • Excellent work

  • Frank Hannon is the man! Tesla - one of the most underrated bands in the history of rock. I've seen videos of his live performances and he's totally cool. He had his neice Skylar Thomas up there playing keyboard on Skynyrd's "Call Me the Breeze" which was interesting. I think it's significant that he's playing an SG here because I always thought the solo on this song sounded like something Tony Iommi from Sabbath would do - and the SG sound perfectly replicates the way Rush did it originally.

  • Does anyone know who this guy is....lol? TESLA ring a BELL..............Frank Hannon.....I don't think is really trying to impress here...just having fun.

  • @5150jtjt

Tesla was the shit..........this is awesome

  • @flyman What do you mean "Tesla Was" they still are fabulous...new music out too.

  • That guy should be in Rush, give Geddy's voice a rest.

  • Nice job guys! Killer guitar work. I think Alex would give a thumbs up to your rendition of this great Rush rocker.

  • Geezus, guys. They are just covering a song. Paying respect and having fun, all that jazz.

  • You guys do this better than RUSH does!

  • @LiamCapt You better be kidding or on weed

  • Good job guys!!!

  • great job, not real easy to do but you nailed it !

  • Not a bad cover. Think I'm putting that in my YouTube Gems playlist. =)

Is that Brett Micheals on the drums?

  • best rush cover ever....knew he could shred a sixer, but to be able to sing like that is outstanding...great sound....turn this up n ya feel like ur in da front of the pit...

  • @murrcom...i seen tesla open for def on the hysteria tour in 88 .. awesome show..too bad tesla's lead vocal lost his voice...damn cigarettes or meth?

  • great song man !

  • No copies were ever any good my friends! THERE'S ONLY ONE REAL, TRUE RUSH!

Everybody trying to copy them is pure crap! Just my humble opinion.

  • @fabriciorechy Agreed. It's one thing to appreciate a band and to be influenced by them, but it gets embarrassing when a band tries to pretend they are that band, even to the extent of trying to dress and wear their hair like them, especially from 30 years ago.Band like this need to get a life and develop not only their own style for the most part, but jeez, develop your individual personality.

  • i liked it

  • This is Frank Hannon of Tesla. He does killer covers of Frampton and Rush. This one is pretty good but I've seen way better. Check out his band The Frank Hannon Experience. Good stuff.

  • kick ass dudes. great solo.

  • who are these butt cheeses?

  • @82pjs Fuck you! I commented giving an honest opinion of what my thoughts were on this video. You have made a personal attack on me! I bet you are a weedy little wanker who's too shit scared to say anything to anyones face in person in reality.

If you saw me in person I can guarantee that you would shit your pants and start running! Feeble little dweeb.

  • He makes it look so easy,Fuckin Incredible!

  • Fantastic job on this song. Very impressed.

  • fuck me this is good

  • Is That Frank Hannon, from Tesla?

I sam him do a mean Peter Frampton with Nick Sterling in Phoenix, thats pronounded fee-nix!

  • who's this guy?

  • Top job! The live Rush version on here is done way too slow because the guitarist can't keep up any more. The tempo is perfect on this version so well done! ; )

  • @d0ntargue Lifeson can't keep up? WTF are you talking about? Watch some of their other videos here and then try to say that. If you really think that's true, you're a fucking idiot. I'm sure it was done intentionally to try change things up a little. Anybody can copy a masterpiece, still can't take credit for it.

  • Nicely done !

  • Read tags first. This aint no average hella good rock the hood bar scene band.I clicked on going who the hell is FHB?Tesla baby!YEAH.

  • To the nines!Great job bro's.Although if ya did some Zepp YOU! my friend could pull it offfff.

  • Killer cover of a great tune! Outstanding job!

  • Excellent job guys. Loved the guitar. Made it your own, very nicely done

  • Very, very nicely done!

  • Its done too fast tho....the problem with that is theres no audible separation in some notes...makes it run=not good.

  • Super cover..a little different sound but musically the equal of the original, the guitar work is a great compliment to the original and beautifully done...thanks for making it available.

  • really good!!!

  • Good Ol' Frank Hannon of Telsa! this cover jamz

  • I have to do a solo for this song, thats why I ask, so, more specifically, which key should I solo in?

  • what key is this in?

  • That was impressive, super tight!

  • Everytime i drive to work i think of this damn song, 45 hour weeks in a lil ceasars Pizza, no free time, and looking for something MUCH better lol

  • Great job guys!!!

  • That was tight!!! I enjoyed every part vocal=guitar=bass rocked and Drums were great. Peace

  • led990 - nice catch, it is indeed Frank Hannon from Tesla. He loves SGs.

  • rush is wayyyy better

  • Haha, this is actually an awesome cover.

  • am i seein things or is this the guy from tesla

  • Great job!

  • Alex and Rutsey had a band together before Geddy but... there was no band called Rush until Geddy joined the mix.

  • great cover man. its funny to think you were in tesla.

    but this is awesome

  • you're great.... i prefer this solo too.

  • Nice to see him rockin the Gibson SG

  • The bassist is really good to.

  • This is an awesome cover, very accurate vocals, great guitar work. The drums are great as well.

  • get a haircut hippie...

  • you're obviously just kidding right? It's not even all that long..

  • Brain Box huh?

  • Wow, Rush is not easy to do but these guys did really good!

  • you guy are tuned in eb wtf

  • Bitchin cover! I mean... Dam!

  • not bad for a cover

  • not bad! showmanship is fine.

  • for such a fucking awesome rock out song these dudes are dull...rock out...its rush! sound wise very good cover...showmanship wise...boring to watch

  • I can see it's in your heart...

    Keep rockin guys!

    Awesome.

  • They play this exceptonally

    what a mean axe!

    Awesome cover band

  • Nice cover guys. not trying to be mean but try to tune up a little bit higher.

    -otherwise, awesome job.

  • Sounds "for real" wich to me is all that matters.

    Well done chaps!

:) Håkan "Halex"Granat of RUSH For Cover

  • He does pretty good. Not as wig out excellent as others are saying. only because he takes some artistic license in some parts he either doesn't like or can't play exact. But definitely one of the better jobs out there.

Not to mention his supporting cast is doing a fine job.

  • I like it!!

  • that was well done, good work guys!

  • Wow, great job, my brother!......Groovy shit.

  • rockin ya rockin keep on rockkkiin.

  • Butchered and Phailed

  • not rush obviously BUT damn good cover

  • man rush is the best but he pretty good for not being rush

  • Considering the recording environment, I'd say pretty damn good!...Nice job guys!

  • descent i woulnt say "good"

  • there not even in the same key as rush

  • it's only a half step down? sounds pretty good guys!!

  • prolly cuz geddy has such high vocals. a lot of people drop songs down a half step or a step to be able to hit the vocals. its barely noticeable unless u know how to play the song

  • All this guys are doing a excellent job!!

  • Get a life, or end yours, please.

  • you talking to me?

  • this guys good!!

  • Factastic!

  • The drummer looks bored or afraid to cut loose. Good job though. Frank Hannon from Tesla has some good chops. Looks like they are having fun.

  • Smokin and didn't live the life, so has not, didn't write it, didn't play it untill now, so YOU want worship,,, ummmmmmmmmm Thank You for that exciting opportunity, but I'm really busy !!!!

  • that drummers horrible compared to peart....then again pretty much all drummers are...

  • True friend, but atleast he tries :-) Rush Rocks, and thats all we really need to know for now. Lets Disect something else this month, shall we ???

  • I think Im the only dude alive who likes the original Rutsey drums on this song better than Peart's stuff on it haha.

  • @Drummerdude1639 yea he does suck, but ummm peart didnt drum on this album, this was off rush 1 witch was the only drummer with the first guy john rusty, witch was there 1974 debut release, a year later john couldnt take the tours and the life no more(and he couldnt play the song anthem) so geddy and alex looked for a new guy and found peart in 1975, his first release with them was 1975s fly by night

  • @ivebeentobangkok It was actually for health reasons why they decided that he should leave

  • @Annonymus121 yes that was a factor as well.

  • @Drummerdude1639 peart didnt drum on this song on the first album they had a different drummer named john rutsey

  • @Drummerdude1639 You do know that John Rutsey was the drummer for this song right?

  • fuck you guys are dumb, rush was alex, geddy, and John Rutsey when they recorded the album rush, rutsey got diabetes and quit and was replaced by neil peart after the album was released

  • if you look at the album "Rush" it says that its alex lifeson and some other guys. can you explain how geddy or peart is not there.

  • notice how geddy or peart is not there.

  • actually, peart didnt record this song w/ rush.

  • you should shut up you know shit and besides what the fuck does this have to do with this sick vid

  • This is 1975. They dont have Geddy Lee or Neil Peart because this is the original band. This is on their first album "Rush".

  • AFarewellToKings2112, this is not 1975 or Rush. Geddy Lee was in the original band, you're way off!

  • Haha first off...youre right, this is def not Rush at any point in their history. But Geddy wasnt the original bassist either.

  • This is really good.

  • That was actually pretty damn good! They even played it at the right tempo. Rush doesn't even do that anymore.

  • NOt Rush

  • anna4woo, if you know anything about music, the singer from rush has a high pitched voice when he sings, so of course he sounds like a girl

  • He hit a wrong not at the beginnning of the singing i believe

  • Frank Hannon is one of the guitar players of Tesla... who fucking ROCK!!!!!! AWESOME guitar player(s)!

  • he sounds like a girl lol and the band is rush

  • fuck, whats the na<me of the band?

  • what´s the name of the band?

  • not rush >:(

  • Najs

  • Dude has telant to play lead and sing lead. Great job.

  • that was realy good!

  • ya umm that was nice but rush is the best

  • That isn't rush?? OH MY FUCKING GOD.

you should shut the fuck up embobett. Its not supposed it be Rush. Do you even know purpose of a cover song?

  • rush is still the best

  • Awesome job guys ! Right on the money. And especially enjoyable because it's seen that you AND your fans are havin' FUN !! N THAT'S what it's all about !!!

  • Well done. 5 stars

  • I think that you did a great job of covering a great song by a great band! Rock on dudes! Cool!

  • Best Rush cover ever. Ever!

  • wow, hard to cover such an amazing band, Great Job !!!!

  • AWSOME !!!

  • Frank deserves so much respect for doing working man so perfectly.Igive him a 10 no an 11.

  • is that geddy's voice in there too?

  • Great cover

  • cool

  • Impressive

  • hey you guys rock

  • incredible cover- all the idiots downplaying it, what the hell do you want?

  • this is a cool cover, and its okay to change the solo a bit, its called havin a style, not just being a robot by playing someone elses stuff!!

  • Alex can't even play his original solo the way he once could. But it's cool enough to hit some of the right notes. Way to go, Franky.

  • get em boss!

  • his voice is anoying

  • So is Geddy Lee's. Still a cool voice.

Also, it's spelled "annoying", not "anoying". Please install FireFox.

  • As cool as this song is, unfortunately, he's playing the wrong notes.

  • i just dont see all the fuss in his notes , real musicians dont learn each single note off their computer and then go around looking for wrong notes to judge

  • Do you realize how asinine that comment is? REAL musicians..such as myself, can tell when a note is being played out of tune. The effort was great. The song was done well. The opening was out of tune. REAL musicians would know that.

  • Id like to see you give a better live performance.

  • I am a classically trained pianist, and violinist. A drummer since 15 and guitarist and now a DJ. I've been giving live performances most of my life. The opening was out of tune.

  • How many albums do you have out now?I thought he played it perfectly, maybe his intro is the way he likes to do it.doesn't matter i give him a thumbs up.

  • And you're right. Maybe he does like it that way. One reason is because he's hitting the note in question with vibrato which isn't how it is not how it is in the original. He doesn't do it when he plays the chord which does sound in tune...TO ME. Again...it's my opinion. I'll repeat...the song was rocked well over all. I am in no way a Frank Hannan fan so my opinion is not biased.

  • Releases? To answer your question, visit iTunes or "Discogs" online and search for DJ Love. Or just search DJ Love. People here assume just because you aren't some well known rock star, you haven't done anything. Besides, It's just my opinion. That's what the comments are for. I don't have to agree with everyone just like you don't agree with me. I'm not flaming you for it. I'm just a huge Rush fan but, just because I don't produce Rock does't mean I don't know what it is or how to play it.

  • Your a classically trained dingbat.

  • "Your a classically trained dingbat." wow...did you think of that all on your own? I just keep finding these comments. You act like I deliberately set out to insult YOU.

  • Real musicians would know that at no time did he tune his guitar once he started the song. So did it tune itself after he started? I think what you're hearing is his natural vibrato. Thats a musical term you classical dj dipshit.

  • So...let me get this straight...I'm a dipshit because I could hear that his guitar was out of tune, which you have apparently agreed with, and I commented on it?

  • If it was out of tune in the beginning it would be out for the whole song. He doesnt adjust the tuning at any time. You "thought" it was out of tune. I commented harshly because of your condescending musical snobbery. "Im a classically trained blah blah blah ..."

  • YouTube doesn't put all the comments in order for people to see the WHOLE conversations. The "classically trained" comment was a reply to someone who assumed I had never done any live performances. Which I have, since I was 7...I am now 38...whether it was with an orchestra, or the many bands I've been in, or as a DJ. It wasn't snobbery towards this performance. I already admitted it was "rocked very well" previously. Just one note in the intro got to me.

  • Look...I said repeatedly that the song was well done. I just thought the intro was out of tune. Is that just so horrible that you all have to be so hostile. And Dr. Funk, I didn't realize you knew me. Please excuse me if I did something to offend you.
