@mpsoldierhooah yes sergeant, but you have a harder chance of getting in straight from the army u shoulda tryed whhen u were in high school. Your Gpa needs work, i know that is an a but they are picky.West point is really not looking for drama or band, maybe soccer if u were the team captain. But u need a very good military record to get in such as air assault ranger special forces airborne sapper, and so on.You cant join when you are over the age of 23 so hurry mite be to late
@G3CK0117 yeah...it's crazy to get into West Point, and even crazier to graduate. Of around 1300 cadets admitted per class, usually around 300-400 will drop out...most of them in the first three months of "Beast Barracks." plus, you do other crazy shit, like making plebes (first year cadets) make only left turns, or cutting the grass around the barracks with a pair of scissors, etc. fun stuff.

@123nypd the Army is the largest and oldest branch of the armed services. the USMC is the smallest branch, or sub branch. more Soldiers than Marines in both iraq and afghanistan so yeah. you do the math. doesnt mean one is better than the other. ur training wont stop a bullet from going through ur head.

Yeah, but it's going to be intense once you're in. You gotta do well academically and physically, as well as show strong leadership skills. If that's your kinda thing.
If you want to be an Officer in the Marines you can try to get into USMMA, which is the Merchant Marine academy. It is different from the other service academies because upon graduation, you can pick which service you want to go into, and you spend a year at sea over your four years there. Also unlike the rest, the cut off age is 25 instead of 23 like the other four service academies.

@USMCForceRecon100 being a ,marine is a little bit more different... you get hit harder and your the first to fight and it takes alot of balls to do so... but if you want to be a marine you join navy college and from there you can choose to be a marine navy seal etc.
@Brickmaster202 Good for you, but this video is about West Point, not you Marines having a lot of balls. It talkes a lot of balls to go to any service branch! The only college for Navy and Marine Officers is United States Naval Academy or Annapolis. The US Army Rangers is the first to fight!
@USMCForceRecon100 Yeah you can switch branches upon graduation, but someone from a different service academy must be willing to switch with you. In your case you need to find someone from Annapolis whose willing to switch with you.
@USMCForceRecon100 It would be easier if you attend Texas A&M University, they have a military program that produces the most officers in all four military branches OUTSIDE of the Military Service academies like West Point, and Annapolis. If you want to be a Marine officer I recommend this option, since getting into Annapolis or West Point would be nearly impossible unless you are really lucky.
@USMCForceRecon100 don't get all your info from youtube. you can't switch branches immediately after graduation it just doesn't work like that you can after you get to your unit though. also there are many differences between the marine corps and the army.

If you want to be an Officer in the Marines you can try to get into USMMA, which is the Merchant Marine academy. It is different from the other service academies because upon graduation, you can pick which service you want to go into, and you spend a year at sea over your four years there. Also unlike the rest, the cut off age is 25 instead of 23 like the other four service academies.

@USMCForceRecon100 being a ,marine is a little bit more different... you get hit harder and your the first to fight and it takes alot of balls to do so... but if you want to be a marine you join navy college and from there you can choose to be a marine navy seal etc.

@USMCForceRecon100 It would be easier if you attend Texas A&M University, they have a military program that produces the most officers in all four military branches OUTSIDE of the Military Service academies like West Point, and Annapolis. If you want to be a Marine officer I recommend this option, since getting into Annapolis or West Point would be nearly impossible unless you are really lucky.
