If I understabd the concern. If the governemtn is force to pay the entire cost of medicare after destroying the evil private insurance companies. Then over noght the Feds cost will jump 20%. Because it is not wortj the Fedxs money to spend on seniors there is talk of rewritting Medicare to tighten up the bennfits by 20%.

so you want 11 million seniors and cash-strapped states to pay more to the insurance industry? some times a good idea come from both sides and this is one of them. Also if we dont do reform that insurance industry will also need a bail out as the cost of health care is going up so fact that in about 15 to 20 years no one but the really, really, really rich can buy into it.

You are confuse. The 20% subsidy of medicare comes from the private sector - not the government.

The government is gunning to destroy the private sector that does the subsidizing.

This means Government bills will jump 20% overnight.

So now the government is debating cutting services by 20%.

When the government refuses to pay actual cost. The EVIL private sector has been paying the 20% difference. As long as Medicare is less than 50% of the medical industry. This can be done.

They are preparing for Medicare being 100% of the industry with no private sector to subsidise them.

This is why they are freaking out. As if laws can fight them out of the funding problem.

Lets make things simple. If it cost $200 to remove grandma's bad tooth. The feds refuse to pay more than $160. The remaining $40 has been paid by the bills/insurance of the nonmedicare patents being over charge.

Once the medical industry is Nationalised. There are no others to be over charge. Now it cost the Feds $200 to remove the bad tooth.

The "evil" private sector has been ponying up money because it is grandma.
