in the 1960s 2-way communication didn't have to go thru so much of encryption. a simple 4-bit encoding was enough for "enemies" to have a tough time snooping on the chit-chats. the whole process from 'mic' ing the audio to filtering noise to encrypting to receiving and decrypting is still the same 'quick' if 4-bit is used. the only lag is about 1 sec which is clear in the vids.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this clip. It was recorded on earth so there need be no delay between an astronaut and Capcom's response. I do hear the proper delays after a Capcom stops talking and an astronaut replies. At one point they even talk over each other because of the confusion caused by the long delay.

The VAB simply did not figure in Apollo mission training. The spacecraft passed through the belt so quickly and the radiation dose absorbed by the astronauts was so small that it simply was not a matter of concern.

Each one has to receive and retransmit the signal. It's like in a concert. The image on the big screen behind the band often has 0,5 sec delay.

Most of the "burnt areas" were created at the lift off. The ascent engine fired with much greater power than the descent engine, during its last moments.

At landing, the engine was throttled back, and completely cut off about three feet above the ground (when the rods extending from the pads touched the ground). Also, due to the lack of an atmosphere, there was no "billowing dustcloud" that could settle on the pads. As can be seen in the landing videos, the dust streamed straight out along the ground. When the pads hit the ground, the engine had already stopped.

@aces2in2000 go look up "stereo view of Apollo 15 landing site" . you can see the LEM's the LRV's and the Astronauts footprints ! there are more LROC images online, some taken last week were taken at a lower 13 mile orbit and show resolution down to .025 meters ! at the Apollo 12 site you can see an astronauts backpack stuck on the LEM ladder and another one 3 ft away. you can also see Surveyor-3 right where it landed in 67.
@aces2in2000 No Earthbound telescope can see the flag on the Moon. Why not? The Earth's atmosphere is never steady enough to allow resolution below about one arc second for most locations. Beyond that, the telescope required to "see" the flag would need to be absolutely huge.
@mdakotac there just isn't one big enough. You would need a telescope about 200 meters in diameter to see a 1 meter object on the moon.
the Keck, in Hawaii the largest is only 10 meters. even outside the atmosphere, Hubble is not large enough. Hubble would be able to show an object about 100 meters, say a football field.

@mdakotac lol, I read a couple web pages that posted that calculation also but I dont believe they are using the same formula. arc seconds is not a variable in this case since the distance is already known. I am confident that the rest of the sites stating the tele would need to be 200 meters diameter are using the correct calculation. it is a much more reasonable figure when the distance of 240K is considered to resolve a 1 meter object. a 19,000 meter diameter tele ? waaaaay too large.
NASA needs to explain how the astronauts survived the Van Allen Radiation Belts. If NASA is not able to give a reasonable scientific explanation of how the Apollo crew survived the high level radiation on the moon, it is understandable why so many people around the world are starting to believe that the moon landings did not take place.

And the Apollo navigators plotted a course through the thinnest parts of the belts and arranged for the spacecraft to pass through them quickly, limiting the exposure. you've a very valid logic there. i raised the same years ago when i didn't believe the apollo landings happened.
in the 1960s 2-way communication didn't have to go thru so much of encryption. a simple 4-bit encoding was enough for "enemies" to have a tough time snooping on the chit-chats. the whole process from 'mic' ing the audio to filtering noise to encrypting to receiving and decrypting is still the same 'quick' if 4-bit is used. the only lag is about 1 sec which is clear in the vids.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this clip. It was recorded on earth so there need be no delay between an astronaut and Capcom's response. I do hear the proper delays after a Capcom stops talking and an astronaut replies. At one point they even talk over each other because of the confusion caused by the long delay.

The VAB simply did not figure in Apollo mission training. The spacecraft passed through the belt so quickly and the radiation dose absorbed by the astronauts was so small that it simply was not a matter of concern.

From thousands of kilometers in diameter, down to a few centimeters. So, YES! The Lunar Modules can be larger than MANY of the Moon craters.
Most of the "burnt areas" were created at the lift off. The ascent engine fired with much greater power than the descent engine, during its last moments.

@FLOYDNOBALLS118 You don't see the footpads after the ascent stage has lifted off. At landing, the engine was throttled back, and completely cut off about three feet above the ground (when the rods extending from the pads touched the ground). Also, due to the lack of an atmosphere, there was no "billowing dustcloud" that could settle on the pads. As can be seen in the landing videos, the dust streamed straight out along the ground. When the pads hit the ground, the engine had already stopped.

I don't say I'm an expert, I'm sure You can find more detailed information about the matter if You search in scientifical sources. And not among those who want to sell You books and videos about the "Hoax".

@TheBoHoBoy "One of the American states"? You should try to study REAL facts a little more. There is an international agreement, that NO nation (or individual) can take posession of the Moon or any other celestial body.
And, there actually isn't anything on the moon that can make it worthwile to "colonise" it. Even if it was covered with diamonds, it would be too expensive to transport them back to Earth.

@TheBoHoBoy Space station on the moon? Why? One of the main reasons for a spacestation is the micro gravity environment (to experiment with new materials and medicines, and checking how long term weightlessness affects living beings, for example). That doesn't exist on the moon.
A spacestation on the moon would many, many times more expensive than the ISS. Just think of transporting to, and soft-landing one of the ISS modules on the moon! A Saturn V wouldn't manage that. Continued...

The Shuttle, Soyus or Ariane rockets/ships couldn't have been used. Heavier radiation shilding (extra weight!) would have been needed for a permanently manned base.
How could both professional and amateur radio astronomers track Apollos signals coming from the Moon, if they flew in Earth orbit? Why did no one see them? Even smaller satellites are easily seen!

This isn't the original audio, and the video is DEFINITELY been cleaned up, what little of it there is. Of course there is some editing involved to cut the lag out. I'm pretty sure that's all it is.

@aces2in2000 No. the 3 LRV's and all the flags were left behind along with 2 backpacks per decent stage and there are 6 LEM decent stages still right where they were left. and several experiments including the laser ranging reflectors. you would need to resolve an object that is only about 10 ft wide, the LRV is even smaller. even Hubble cannot resolve an image that small to show anything but a single white pixel. thankfully several LRO's have photo's taken recently from low lunar orbit online

@aces2in2000 go look up "stereo view of Apollo 15 landing site" . you can see the LEM's the LRV's and the Astronauts footprints ! there are more LROC images online, some taken last week were taken at a lower 13 mile orbit and show resolution down to .025 meters ! at the Apollo 12 site you can see an astronauts backpack stuck on the LEM ladder and another one 3 ft away. you can also see Surveyor-3 right where it landed in 67.

@aces2in2000 No Earthbound telescope can see the flag on the Moon. Why not? The Earth's atmosphere is never steady enough to allow resolution below about one arc second for most locations. Beyond that, the telescope required to "see" the flag would need to be absolutely huge.

@mdakotac there just isn't one big enough. You would need a telescope about 200 meters in diameter to see a 1 meter object on the moon.
the Keck, in Hawaii the largest is only 10 meters. even outside the atmosphere, Hubble is not large enough. Hubble would be able to show an object about 100 meters, say a football field.
Thank God for the many LROC programs and the fine images sent back !

@mdakotac lol, I read a couple web pages that posted that calculation also but I dont believe they are using the same formula. arc seconds is not a variable in this case since the distance is already known. I am confident that the rest of the sites stating the tele would need to be 200 meters diameter are using the correct calculation. it is a much more reasonable figure when the distance of 240K is considered to resolve a 1 meter object. a 19,000 meter diameter tele ? waaaaay too large.

NASA needs to explain how the astronauts survived the Van Allen Radiation Belts. If NASA is not able to give a reasonable scientific explanation of how the Apollo crew survived the high level radiation on the moon, it is understandable why so many people around the world are starting to believe that the moon landings did not take place.

And the Apollo navigators plotted a course through the thinnest parts of the belts and arranged for the spacecraft to pass through them quickly, limiting the exposure. The total radiation exposure to astronauts was estimated to be much less than the five (5) rem set by the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission for people who work with radioactivity. RESEARCH RADIATION

@19may0001 they show real fucking proof all the time... theres a company in denver who every month perform a test by shooting a laser beam at one of the apollo sites where the astronauts laid down a reflector. they use this to time the distance between the earth and the moon to help calculate times for the ocean tides and other such time experiments. and every month they have to zoom into the moon landing site and aim. they even invite nut jobs like you, not that it would do any good.....

We all have seen the great, footprint on the moon picture. We also know that the Astronauts sort of hobbled around because of their bulky and stiff spacesuits. We also know that their cameras were mounted to their chests.

You know I'm surprised that this is still being discussed at all. EVERY piece of "evidence" can be refuted. Once that's done you should change your mind. I used to believe it was hoaxed. I was 14 at the time and as I studied Physics and Maths I was able to look at the evidence myself and realize the hoax theory just makes no sense.
It seems to be that case with most theories. They seem to be argued from a position of ignorance. When ideas are shown to be flawed a new layer of denial is added.

If I could get the file that was used to make the video I should be able to tell. I'm not saying my opinion is special or anything but I'm a game programmer and artist.
