Ride the Lightning is the heaviest song of all time. It's got everything. Heavy rhythm, heavy solos, haunting vocals, and evil/dark subject matter. There are other bands out there who deal with darker subjects matter, but being electrocuted to death could still happen to any of us. And electricity, metal, and guitars just fit so perfectly together. Oh and the name of the song, it just doesn't get better than that.

@yu313smile Then I have the band for you: Deftones. It's more melodic singing but there is some shouting but not much. The music can be melodic or straight metal. It's considered I guess Alternative Metal. KoRn has good songs where he sings more than scream but KoRn is one of the few bands I like when the singer screams. Johnathan's voice has something cool. Or Chester Beginnington from Linkin Park. LP might suck now or just not what it was but he's still considered a great singer for his voice

This is my most viewed video and has the most downloads, but judging by the majority of comments you wouldn't be able to guess that it's appreciated. All you people are doing is comparing. I know my title essentially does that to everything in existence, but let's be honest here--it's all subjective, so technically no one is right. In no way am I saying this is bad, however I see a few problems for the term "epic". This is not a song that would ever stick in your head as it changes tempo and style every 20 bars or so. It also compiles many small parts of already "epic" songs. It is well executed but it just doesn't stick. Take Call of Ktulu for example. Not exactly a "hard" song to play but it is "epic" because it sticks in your head AND its bad ass. Non the less, this is good stuff still.
