Once Rin kills her she, like Miku, feels regret and inherits the MD too, and carries on "infecting" people.

If I had to give my own guess based off of something I read before, the "illness" that people get taken over by is actually despair, like insanity in Soul Eater. The Vocaloid gang is part of the anti-despair-mask gang, but after Miku is forced to kill Kaito she falls into despair, leaving the gang and her best friend Rin. Rin does not want to kill her but has to, and I guess Teto idolized Miku and turned due to her death? Not sure.

T.T I'm writing my own version of the vocaloid manga but I can't fit this into a full length storyline as well as go with my original idea. I also can't see everyone fighting every five seconds in Vocaloid, since they have a bunch of adorible songs, but warped effects. You all would love Miku when she turns Dark Append XD

The status of each vocaloid is more of by popularity, so some fans will be mad that Miku is the Queen, but in reality she IS the face of vocaloid, Luka is often forgotten like she is in the song searies, and is angered by that usually, Haku is mostly depressed but can turn angry at times twards her mother(sound mother) Miku. There are parings, butnot easily shown

There was an organization that fought against it and the Vocaloids were the members. Miku was dating Kaito, but then he got infected, so she had no choice but to kill him. Then the infection was passed onto her and she knew what would happen. So then she gave Rin a gun in case anything ever went too far. It did, and Miku died. Then Teto gets infected.

I think that the mask's were like a plauge that took over. Rin and Miku were friends that fought the masked people. Kaito was the masked people's leader, but when Miku killed him, he passed the plauge on to her, and she became the new leader. When Rin killed Miku, Miku didn't pass on the plauge, and the world returned to normal. But Teto became infected, and the plauge started again.

Actually, I think the one standing on the tower holding the mask at the end is Rin, not Teto. I think this because Miku fell from the tower, so Rin was already there, and Miku didn't fall with her mask so Rin maybe picked it up. Plus, in the beginning they show Kaito being the mask-bearer first, then Miku being forced to kill him the same way Rin killed Miku, but after Miku killed him SHE became the mask-bearer.

@saltyavocado cause its only 3 minutes long, instead of hours of episodes---they can spend that much more time on each and every frame, pull out all the stops. you try that on full length anime, it loses it's punch. a PV will always seem to be more dynamic and constantly and consistently more visually impressive---it's more concentrated.

But even full length anime only need a few exciting fights in the entire series, and a lot of the time the action is poorly orchestrated as well as just lacking the necessary number of frames. @saltyavocado and regarding full length anime, they've got time limits they have to get episodes done in a certain time frame, can't really delay the show to fiddle with details if the public expects it every week, and most studios have multiple projects (with their own deadlines) that need to be worked on as well. compared to a single 3 min vocaloid vid which might take months depending on the # of people working on it and their skill
maybe the mask disease or something is actually a deep meaning.. like maybe it tells us that sadness eats us up.. makes us do bad things.. because we're depressed.. like how rebellious children have a reason for why they're like that... so we, friends, try to help them.. like how Rin was trying to do with Miku.. but didn't succeeded.. so Teto, another ordinary girl, watching the news,felt the same sadness too..
You know what's sad? No one is really in Miku's age group... Rin and Len are about younger teens(13-15 and maybe older but they seem very kiddish). Kaito and Meiko are like early twenties along with Gakupo and Luka(21-25). And Miku... she's in like mid-late teens(16-18). Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've heard from several other comments.

@xTwilightSakurax I think so too, that Anti-Mask was God's army? But it seems that in the end only Miku and Rin survived, the former who then died and Rin the new masked Devil... so evil prevails? Kinda makes the mind woozy thinking up interpretations... kind of wish for the real story behind it all!

Actually, I think the one standing on the tower holding the mask at the end is Rin, not Teto. I think this because Miku fell from the tower, so Rin was already there, and Miku didn't fall with her mask so Rin maybe picked it up. Plus, in the beginning they show Kaito being the mask-bearer first, then Miku being forced to kill him the same way Rin killed Miku, but after Miku killed him SHE became the mask-bearer.

@saltyavocado cause its only 3 minutes long, instead of hours of episodes---they can spend that much more time on each and every frame, pull out all the stops. you try that on full length anime, it loses it's punch. a PV will always seem to be more dynamic and constantly and consistently more visually impressive---it's more concentrated.

But even full length anime only need a few exciting fights in the entire series, and a lot of the time the action is poorly orchestrated as well as just lacking the necessary number of frames. I appreciate the creative use of the camera here to capture the feeling of action. Also, I love your username.

@saltyavocado why, thank you <3 i have to say, the level of quality is one of the reasons i love vocaloid---music, lyrics, storyline, art, and videos--- because they ARE fan made there's a huge amount of passion in them, freedom to try new ideas and be artistic and a little out there. nico collab helps each song reach it's full potential, everyone contributing in the areas they're most skilled in & refining eachother's work

@saltyavocado and regarding full length anime, they've got time limits they have to get episodes done in a certain time frame, can't really delay the show to fiddle with details if the public expects it every week, and most studios have multiple projects (with their own deadlines) that need to be worked on as well. compared to a single 3 min vocaloid vid which might take months depending on the # of people working on it and their skill

maybe the mask disease or something is actually a deep meaning.. like maybe it tells us that sadness eats us up.. makes us do bad things.. because we're depressed.. like how rebellious children have a reason for why they're like that... so we, friends, try to help them.. like how Rin was trying to do with Miku.. but didn't succeeded.. so Teto, another ordinary girl, watching the news,felt the same sadness too..

You know what's sad? No one is really in Miku's age group... Rin and Len are about younger teens(13-15 and maybe older but they seem very kiddish). Kaito and Meiko are like early twenties along with Gakupo and Luka(21-25). And Miku... she's in like mid-late teens(16-18). Correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've heard from several other comments.
