Finally! Someone actually doesn't look like an idiot in a video about Twilight by going on about how much they like or hate the book! Personally, I do not like Twilight and I hope that the Twilight Fanbase will settle down after the final movie is released.
I read, and thought the books were okay, and I personally turned into a hater, because my friends ditched me, and I was constantly bullied. I wouldn't hate it so much if all this would just STOP. Its kinda slowed down now. But my two ex-BFFs are still pestering me and snubbing me about it.
I want to see people to stop being so sensitive to where they stab a girl in the hand and the attacker is put into a mental institution, as you told in another rant video
A huge chunk of people who "passionately hate" Twilight haven't even read the books - and I think they're pretty decent, and I don't even like vampire romances that much. But really, I think the people that radiate hate for Twilight (immediately stating it the SECOND somebody brings it up/attempting to convert or harass fans) are just as bad as those who preach its "super awesome amazingness" (such as the violent examples/attempting to convert or harass those anti-fans).

I agree with 100% of what you said. Though I do not like Twilight, it is refreshing to hear somethign from an objective third party. I too am a yaoifangirl and otaku so I can relate to being apart of a fanbase with an unfair stereotype. However, none of the fanbases that I have ever encountered, be them my own or those of my friends had the level of violence that the Twilight fanbase does. Something really needs to be done about these out of control fans before someone gets killed.

For me, the problem isn't the books being poorly written(which they are), it's the themes present. The fact that SMeyer portrays an abusive, borderline psychotic male as THE PERFECT MAN in Edward Cullen.
Or how Bella Swan is portrayed as mentally, emotionally and physically weak, needing a BIG STRONG MAN to always save her.

This girl got a home made shank held to her throat when sharping her penicle for saying she didn't like Twilight back at lunch. She poked the girl in the side with her pencile to get her off her.
The girl who attacked her got expelled. The girl who was attacked was given detention under the grounds "Two wrongs don't make a right"...

That is shocking. In a way, I don't blame the student with the pencil cause that's probably the only thing that came to her mind. That phrase there does take a whole new meaning now though. :)
Twilight is the worst thing ever written... to make it worse, half of it's fan base is crazy. Two animals have already been killed, Mopsy and Pudding.... People are attacked. They have even made their own religion: Cullenism.
Fortunatly there hasn't been an attack bad enough to make a newspaper artical.
But one place to go would be the TwilightSucks forums...yeah I know not a good name to use for a forum trying to get the same point across as I am. But they have stories of attacks on people by some fans of the book.
It is hard to belive...but then again we get people verbally bashing and also physically attacking people who dislike certain games or anime these days. You just hear about Twilight more.
But that won´t stop the over obsessed side of the fanbase worshipping Bella and Edward and TREATING it like a piece of religious literature. Who knows, maybe another needless, obsessive religion shall spout from that book *rolls eyes*

The Twilight Fangirls really need to know what is not liking Twilight means.You don't beat up someone or send a hate comment just because he or she dosn't like Twilight.
I don´t know. I realize that the fanbase is pretty bad, but I think it´s only that we get more noise from the bad ones. I used to think that ALL twilight fans were like that, until I realized that about two thirds of them just don´t care what you think. I´ve found out that a few of my best friends are twilight fans and they´re fine with me not being one.
On the whole, the percentage that IS out mutilating people is giving the nice, respectful percentage a very bad name.
