There is an IP address conflict with another system on the network.

uhhhh, mine is different, it comes up with a dialog box saying "IP Address Conflict" and then it says that another computer has the same IP address or something, and when the dialog box comes up with the IP address conflict, I lose internet connection for about an hour, and it is just my computer that loses the internet, my computer is a piece of shit. PLEASE HELP!

My laptop still does the same bad thing that it has done since even six months before I posted this video. . I actually changed my IP number about a month ago. I hadn't bothered to do that previously because I was convinced that it would not slove my problem; it seemed to reduce the number of times of 'conflict' to five hourly. . . Cheers. from, del-boy .

The message is appearing again. I go to Network Connections. Right click on it and a list of Network Tasks appears in the column on the left of the page. About sixth on the List Of Tasks, is Repair This Connection. I click on that, and my computer automatically does something and soon after it tells me that it now works again, "it is connected again". . I have to do this twice a day, including half way through the playing of music on a You-Tube page. . Very upsetting. . . Cheers. from, del-boy.

Dear Everybody,

My computer stopped working and so I had to re-configure it.

((that's what Norton360 told me I did) (I had to start from scratch, listen to the Microsoft music and fill in the details of my purchase of the computer etc.))

Since then that terrible notice has started to come up again.

It was going so well with no interruption.

I was buying something on eBay.uk in the last ten seconds and I was anxious that the computer would stop working during that critical moment

I like two separate browsers for different reasons to do with how they appear on screen. And the slightly different features to do with opening and closing web-pages. . . Dear Everybody, I don't know how to resolve the problem but for me the problem went away. I have two operating systems on my laptop and the problem may have been caused by that fact. . click start > run > tpye "cmd" without quotes > next type "ipconfig /release" without quotes > finally type "ipconfig /renew" without quotes.

What this does is releases the current ip address you have set to your computer then the /renew command gives you a new one. You're going to need to do this on all the computers on your network. I you still have the same problem call your ISP. If they cannot find a problem either on your phone line or on the connection, buy a new router.
