  • She's amazing....I've been to many fetes but this one is the most amazing number ever...

  • Just superb....just amazing! Maaaann, I've been to many fetes but this one is the real deal....

  • jolie prestation du sort de l'ordinaire j'adore son masque aussi tres jolie bravoooo++++

  • Hmm... interesting. I wonder... is there a story behind this dance? And I agree, the mask makes her character seem more intriguing.

  • @IsiTheGooseGirl17 In french polynesia, every dances tell a story comparing US competitions where the aim ORI solo is showing how fast is that faarapu. That is a BIG difference ;o)

  • the girls on da ground look angry lol

  • oooww!!!

  • It hears you can spend this music of the video to me or know since it calls to unload it in plough or something me podria to help?

  • @koziitha1 hello, please buy it on web site noticed on the description of the video ;o)

  • Nga mihi nui mo tenei ahuatanga o te mana wahine, te wahine toa - MAURI ORA

    Hi - great dance

the mask adds a bit of mystique and yet tribal feel about her character. Totally enjoyable.

  • This is very cool. =D

  • im sorry...in Huahine, not in Tahiti...i might be spelling her name wrong...im pretty sure her name was Maddie...we called her auntie Maddie... but i will ask my mom for her name the next time i call back to my mom's home...

  • teriimataha... some of my friends used to dance under Fa'atira Moua in Tahiti...they said there is no need for masks in Ori Tahiti,

what do you think about it? -FJ

  • Who is Fa'atira? I don't know his or her! Are you sure of this person in TAHITI?

I Think they are wrong! this is a Creation category, which means that liberty is allowed in the topic and costume.

Can you ask this person if he/she know a dance called ORI TAPA and ORI PAHU? Just to estimate his/her knowledge in ORI, thank you!

  • I think she ment, "ra'atira Madeleine Moua"? Just a guess....

Terimataha please educate us on "ori tapa" and "ori pahu". I would love to know the what they mean.

    Thank you

  • Sorry, but only initiated dancers know them. I can't describe it here.

It's 2 dances which noone does anymore.

  • Okay, I can respect that.:0)

  • don't attack me if you think these are wrong, please.

ori tapa is an ancient dance performed topless (theres a clip of it being performed by the creator of o tahiti e marguerite in "te tiaro")

and ori pahu is synching the "pahu" drum with the dance.

both of these are solo type dances for the female

and thats what i think finejoushua meant too, madeleine moua from heiva tahiti. i'm sure terii knows who she is, haha.

    POLYNESIA BABEEEEEEE...JUST LOVE IT..

  • POLYNESIA...

    I LURRRRRRVE IT...

Tahitian Dancing is Very Rythmatic & Expresses

its Movements in a sensual Way...it just makes you wanna buy a ticket to Tahiti right NOW..

  • We also got this from our lovely "warrior" tahitian friend. What a joy to see that you have very beautiful traditional dances. My girl now is learning how to dance. We'll come back...

  • Wow...what was their theme?

  • female warrior

  • the drumming is SOOO goodd!

  • she so good!!!

    i wished i danced like

    her!!!

  • I liked the way she moved and I don't mean her butt shaking -.- But I thought this was great. Thanks for the upload

  • Wow!

  • WOW! Incredible..I'm a polynesian so I've see hundreds of shows but never have I seen someone this awesome..WOW! Hats off..

  • omg!talk about beauty shakin!she was great!super super super performance!

  • ahhh, but yeah youre right, that idea would be a tatau rather than a mask, thats a western concept...i didnt know how the mascarade mask fit with the "toa" theme. But the marching idea, that was pretty cool!

  • We agree. Mask and march is a modern concept of ORI. Which better choreography than marching can explain the topic of soldier/warrior. It was a beautifull show (where you notice Nonosina's brother and sister as dancer and musician in these videos) of las year Heiva but i prefer far away the topic "Te Muhu a Fenua" of O TAHITI E.

    nana, aurevoir

  • i met her in tahiti, shes super nice and beautiful! wonder why her face was masked?

  • Iaro Uoleni, the topic of their show was women warriors in the ancient times. This the mask of the best warrior (as Tiare assumed it would be look like). But, we all know that best warrior wear tatau on his/her body talking about his/her many wins.
