Lynch is so goofy. I really like him. I like that he isnt Hollywood AT ALL. Not even a sliver of that - he is always just him and a little off and you can see that while looking at this interview. Love.
For many years I was so disappointed and annoyed that they cancelled Twin Peaks when they did, but in retrospect I really think it should've ended when they solved the Laura case as it sunk downhill real fast after that.
I need to see elephant man, blue velvet, and Mulholland drive. The plot synopsis I see for the films sound weird but the reviews are so good. I gotta experience that
@eyedonthave1 actually it is epic even after all these there hasn't been anything else like twin peaks and will probably still be talked about for another 20 years
From what i gather Lynch is very enthusiastic about Ronnie Rocket but the studios turn it down. Im guessing its because its not the generic shit we see repeated again and again on the cinema. But fuck me! If Lynch is more passionate about it that his other released projects, and if his other released projects did well then give the guy a break. It'll probably be made when hes dead and that would be a shame cause whatever director does it wont have Lynchs flare
Contrast this with Lynch's appearance on Leno to promote Fire Walk With Me. It's clear Lynch knows Letterman has half a brain - he ends up basically suffering Leno's lack of intellect.
Lynch has his own little idiosyncrasies going on, but he seems like a pretty down to Earth guy. I've never seen him be outright pretentious or pedantic. Reminds me of Jimmy Stewart.
He walks out of interviews if that movie is ever mentioned for he regret making that movie as it is his worst film, he wasn't cut out for big budget hollywood Sci-fi blockbusters and taught him a good lesson. He went back to his comfort zone with the brilliant Blue Velvet.
well im glad it did become a classic cult tv show it was a great show and im so happy about that but i wish it would have lasted at least 1 or 2 more episodes so we could see how everybodys storylines would have ended
Oh, er... Lynch, he's not as eccentric as people would expect him to be, not free jokes...; he is actually kinda weird... but not the kind of guy people like to laugh at... (for certain reason they can't...) Maybe... er... maybe he's a real genius... (and I mean "real").
Why has David Letterman always been such an utter cunt, what did his sisters, brothers, mothers peers and father do to him that would encourage the over bitten annoying cock to act in such a way?
Ugh, does Letterman research, or even listen to people he interviews? Sure, he gets a ton of people on his show, but it's not like Lynch was some young Gen-X upstart at this point in his career.
@SalikIndaHouse He's a very odd director. If you don't understand post modernism or surrealism you probably won't like his films. It's almost like being in side his head for an hour and a half. Some people can't handle it. For instance I felt eraserhead was quite surreal where as i releated to blue velvet alot more.
He never made Ronnie Rocket :(
