  • He never made Ronnie Rocket :(

  • spirit animal

  • Lynch is so goofy. I really like him. I like that he isnt Hollywood AT ALL. Not even a sliver of that - he is always just him and a little off and you can see that while looking at this interview. Love.

  • Oh, "Ronnie Rocket." What could have been.

  • look at the pencil in the beginning of this video :O

  • Three people are small Mexican chiwowwows.

  • David Lynch should've directed "Cagney & Lacy."

  • For many years I was so disappointed and annoyed that they cancelled Twin Peaks when they did, but in retrospect I really think it should've ended when they solved the Laura case as it sunk downhill real fast after that.

  • @wadehjb Agreed, but Lynch was forced to solve Laura's case before he actually planned to.

  • I'll write a letter.

  • I need to see elephant man, blue velvet, and Mulholland drive. The plot synopsis I see for the films sound weird but the reviews are so good. I gotta experience that

  • @docbrownenterprises omg so tru ay

  • omg hez s00 r"ndum

  • @docbrownenterprises sure he is!!!

  • It's odd seeing David with brown hair :]

  • As if you wouldn't mention Eraserhead.

  • What happened to Ronnie Rocket?

  • hat harald schmidt eigentlich seine lache von letterman geklaut? dieses höflichkeitslachen was aber echt wirkt

  • david make ronnie rocket

  • Comment removed

  • Poor David Lynch flailing in the morass of pre-internet pre-tivo time.

    Twin Peaks could've been epic.

  • @eyedonthave1 actually it is epic even after all these there hasn't been anything else like twin peaks and will probably still be talked about for another 20 years

  • I will help you write the letter David Lynch. *Looks at airing-date*

    I'm not a letter-person anyways.

  • 2:17-2:25 David Letterman predicts the fate of Twin Peaks. :O

  • Strange and extraordinary Director 'n' artist!Letterman J.ass!

  • in the clip from the show, the conversing is similar to clockwork oranges

  • From what i gather Lynch is very enthusiastic about Ronnie Rocket but the studios turn it down. Im guessing its because its not the generic shit we see repeated again and again on the cinema. But fuck me! If Lynch is more passionate about it that his other released projects, and if his other released projects did well then give the guy a break. It'll probably be made when hes dead and that would be a shame cause whatever director does it wont have Lynchs flare

  • David Lynch is the fuckin man

  • David Lynch is one of 2,3 best artists in film today.

  • An individual...and a decent guy too. Amazing movies he makes.

  • When David Lynch passes, an entire style and language of film-making will be lost...

  • @paulmcguineapig1 IF David Lynch passes. ;)

  • @paulmcguineapig1

So let us keep that fire going!

  • Contrast this with Lynch's appearance on Leno to promote Fire Walk With Me. It's clear Lynch knows Letterman has half a brain - he ends up basically suffering Leno's lack of intellect.

  • Letterman is a legend, but he doesn't know how to interview someone like Lynch.

  • @lynchian AMEN...see also his interviews with Marilyn Manson, Crispin Glover, Joaquin Phoenix, etc.......for more examples illuminating this fact

  • david letterman annoys the shit out of me....

  • David forgot to ask "Oi, Lynch, Explain this! ...Eraserhead!"

  • COOPER, YOU REMIND ME TODAY OF A SMALL MEXICAN CHIHUAHUA

  • David + David.

Can't get much better than that.

  • I wish that Ronny Rocket movie got made, Michael J. Anderson is awesome.

  • damn shame, TP got cancelled

  • ,ok guys, im writing my letter... to bob eiger.

  • i love how he speaks!! his tone of voice, his sense of humor

  • i got the eraserhead tshirt

  • lol pencil at beginning.

  • What a gentleman.

  • @docbrownenterprises THE greatest filmmaker of all time!

  • I would expect that a genius would be really arrogant but Lynch is such a humble man

  • Lynch has his own little idiosyncrasies going on, but he seems like a pretty down to Earth guy. I've never seen him be outright pretentious or pedantic. Reminds me of Jimmy Stewart.

  • Before Letterman had mood swings lol

  • I think this guy has made some epic movies by accident.

  • @BrentHutchinson1 Nigga please...

  • `...you shall be known as usal...usul...u-sul...

  • God, I love his movie there's always this special" Lynch mood". And honestly Lynch seems just as crazy and genious as his movies,

  • Shouldve asked him about Dune to see his reaction

  • @kamikazeCORP

He walks out of interviews if that movie is ever mentioned for he regret making that movie as it is his worst film, he wasn't cut out for big budget hollywood Sci-fi blockbusters and taught him a good lesson. He went back to his comfort zone with the brilliant Blue Velvet.

  • twin peaks is the best tv show ever

  • Elephant man was just awsome!

  • David Lynch sits down when he wants to sit down.

  • I hope he makes Ronnie Rocket soon!

  • well im glad it did become a classic cult tv show it was a great show and im so happy about that but i wish it would have lasted at least 1 or 2 more episodes so we could see how everybodys storylines would have ended

  • Oh, er... Lynch, he's not as eccentric as people would expect him to be, not free jokes...; he is actually kinda weird... but not the kind of guy people like to laugh at... (for certain reason they can't...) Maybe... er... maybe he's a real genius... (and I mean "real").

  • I love that look he gives to the musician, He's digging the saxophone!!

  • @BennyGaberMusic Glad I'm not the only one to spot that!

  • THE AWESOME DAVID LYNCH

  • "it might be the kind of show that would have a limited run and then would become a classic forever." yep...pretty much.

  • What a great prediction by Dave!!

  • "How'd you get that elf to talk backwards?"

Why has David Letterman always been such an utter cunt, what did his sisters, brothers, mothers peers and father do to him that would encourage the over bitten annoying cock to act in such a way?

    What a mystery he is.

  • @MintySpunkBubble Hahaha, 'what a mystery he is.' I lol'd.

  • When he smiles he reminds me of someone, but I can't think who. Its really bugging me. If you've noticed it too please help!

  • David, PLEASE make Ronnie Rocket!!!

  • Ugh, does Letterman research, or even listen to people he interviews? Sure, he gets a ton of people on his show, but it's not like Lynch was some young Gen-X upstart at this point in his career.

  • why have there been such little views of this brilliant man???

  • @SalikIndaHouse He's a very odd director. If you don't understand post modernism or surrealism you probably won't like his films. It's almost like being in side his head for an hour and a half. Some people can't handle it. For instance I felt eraserhead was quite surreal where as i releated to blue velvet alot more.

  • @SalikIndaHouse

drew berrymoore stole all of them
