I find it amazing that Sendhil did this, seeing as he does not believe in God. Even if he's an actor and it's his job, he wasn't pig-headed enough to turn down the role. It makes me glad to see when people act that mature.

He's Hindu. There's an article where he answered in an interview that his wife is Catholic and he's Hindu, so they're raising their daughter to know both religions and make the choice herself.

I jumped to conclusions in saying that he doesn't believe in God, but it is possible. His religion differs from Chrisianity and the teachings of the Bible, is moreso what I really meant.

Hinduism is based on the hindu trinity of creation, preservation and destruction and the gods that represent them as bhrama, vishnu and shiva respectively and their consorts the tridevi who represent education,wealth/prosperity and health/bravery by saraswati,lakshmi and parvati. However Hinduism states that there is only one superior God who is formless, genderless, omnipresent and omnipotent and is inconcievable to the human mind. He is called Brahman, hindus believe that he is the creator of the universe and perhapa other dimensions and universes. Hindus beleive that after death they will seek unification with the supreme being brahman. Brahman is much like what other monotheistic religions call God/Alah/Yahweh but only hindus believe Brahman is much more complex.

The Bible does not identify the fruit as an apple. Judaism teaches that the fruit may have been either grape, fig, wheat, or citron. No one knows what it was so it's not really important.
