i hope u dont mind if i try to use this bass line cuz i really like it alot God bless u really helpin me out wit my musicianship because i jus started playin in a black church a couple of months ago nd i gotta lot to learn nd a friend of mine said to check u out nd you are outstanding so if u could lemme kno what key thats in i would greatly appreciate it thanx
I'm in the key of G. I'm using variations of basic jazz bass runs supporting the basic chord patterns found in testimony style songs. There's no pattern since I make up the run as I'm playing.
Interesting to observe how relaxed and subdued the left hand's movement is. Like Joey D... his left hand style is extremely subdued, and he uses the thumb much less than most would.
Yes. I played Fender bass for 10 years, then went to keyboards. My bass playing has substantially influenced my left hand key bass. With years of piano experience, I find it difficult to relax the right hand as necessary for speed and accuracy on the Hammond.

I try to seperate both hands ans concentrate on bass patterns that follow a routine. chords are randomly played to support the path of the bass
