pursuant to the Mack/Printz ruling Scalia warned, "The federal government may neither, issue directives requiring the States to address particular problems, nor command the States' officers, or those of their political subdivisions, to administer or enforce a federal regulatory program. Such commands are fundamentally incompatible with our constitutional system of dual sovereignty." It is rather obvious that nationalized healthcare definitely qualifies as a "federal regulatory program."
Remember that "officially" paying federal income tax is "VOLUNTARY". Yet if you don't "VOLUNTEER" to pay it you gets black suits and guns at your door and jail time. Does anyone really think that this will e any different.
@ONQproductions, I have the PDF form of bill H.R.3590, page numbers 710 thru 729. Look for, " TITLE XXXII—COMMUNITY LIVING ASSISTANCE SERVICES AND SUPPORTS" followed by sections 3201 thru 3210.
@Bigone5555J I'm sorry, but you have your death panels cunfused with your hidden taxes. The ACTUAL page number is 1926, and it doesn't sound like a bad thing to me. You should go ahead and opt out, though. But you may consider actually reading about it first, instead of swallowing the fear mongering bait, hook, line and sinker.
There are 7 different versions of H. R. 3590. What I referred to was the final version which became law. That is the 7th version, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Enrolled as Agreed to or Passed by Both House and Senate), and it is only 906 pages long, in PDF format. I only posted a news clip about this coverage. I never said a word about "Death Panels", nor did I offer an opinion of this coverage- so how exactly is that fear mongering?
we can be certain that, with well over 2,000 pages in a bill never understood in a significant way even by the majority of our brightest people nationwide, there will be creepy crawlies slithering out for a long time to come that were stuffed in by the usual sleight of hand synonymous with this Admin.
@bootyraider, This is not for medical bills, but so you can pay an SEIU member to help you get dressed, bathe, etc., and be able to stay in your home longer, before you get shipped off to the State nursing home.
This is exactly what I feared, and why I completely opposed this.
Somethings I oppose for the overall health of the economy which is the reason I did; I was also worried about this exact scenario from a personal perspective.
All this is going to do, is pit the younger generation against the old. For the first time in history Social Security is paying out more then it is taking in. That means more money will have to be taken out of workers checks. Plus this long care program? I see the younger generation being all for death panels. Can you say "Logan's Run"...
Nice newspiece, but the lip smacking of this buy Bill is fucking obnoxious...

The Dems are going to ignore this until they start paying it out then it's going to bother them.
This is a tax and it was forced upon us. That is unconstitutional.

0:20 " ...easily the most under-reported provision in the bill."
Hmm... I wonder why that is...
And where exactly was this 'hidden' in the bill? Page number, please.

Let me get this straight somebody correct me here (no Obamabot's please).
So I opt out of this, I still have to provide myself with insurance that will rise to 12k a year, or else pay the fine.
Someone was saying that there's language that says the fine is basically "voluntary"? Has anyone else heard this?

No. All the big US corporations are talking about cutting insurance to employees because of this new government entitlement program, including mine.
