don't know who this is-- but, the guy actually knows the song (unlike almost every video showing just the chords) showing the GREATEST aspect of Hendrix's work- the incredible fills he could play, while singing -- and, the method here is GREAT except for one thing, the author can't prove it his work !-- oh well, thanks, whomever you are.

I agree just start with the simple C G D A E chords first play the basic song and once you get that down start getting into the Hendrix chords

So far, this is one of the best, if not the best video for teaching this intro that I have been able to find. Some people DO NOT KNOW how to covey to others what they themselves know, but this chap IS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS ON YOU TUBE, when it comes to conveying to others what he himself knows. Great camera work. If all other guitar player teachers would take their time and do the camera work that this wonderful lad has done, learning guitar would be elevated into higher heights. THANKS.

@xXLIVE4THEMOMENTXx1 Can you elaborate on how it sucks? Every other tutorial has been on a simplified version of the song - he's giving us a version far closer to what hendrix would play.

He doesn't speak because he doesn't need to. If you can't pick up on what he's doing then the song is too advanced for you. Simple as that.
