Hi Rebecca, as if there's any question, you may certainly add 'motivational speaker' to your portfolio. I've been writing for years for myself, I've usually gotten pretty good feedback... Now is the time to bump it up and tap into the world of professional writing. I would recommend your videos to anyone considering 'Freelance' anything. I just subscribed, so I'll be looking for your post. Thx cj

Yeah I figured how to become a professional writer.....once I see the odd or wild in my dream, wake up and write it down to remind me, once I wash the dishes or whatever....something interesting that appears in my mind, write it down to remind me and see something that I never seen outside and write it down to remind including my creatives... I think that it will help...uh? By the way, I am deaf..he he
From my experience the main thing all successful writers need is perseverance. I've seen a zillion people try to be writers, but fail once or twice and then quit. I published articles, wrote online, worked as a treatment writer and finally sold a script that was produced and got an agent. But, it took me nine years to get there and the battle isn't over yet. Many are called few are chosen. If you want to write and be successful you better be prepared to make a lot of sacrifices. Bonne chance!

i wanna be a doctor and a writer and i considered with my dad just being a writer but he told me to be a doctor because not only will i regret the fact that i missed the oppurtunity to be a doctor, but if i am a doctor, i could also be a writer as well with proper schedule and other shit lol
Well I think she's only talking about the ones that CAN actually write but dont want to admit it or there afraid to be criticized. I agree not everyone can be a writer and I do agree that you need hard work and perserverance but how can you get anywhere if you dont believe in yourself? When I started writing I never wanted anyone to know but then I deciced to tell people and the support they gave me kept me to push on. I would quite by now if it wasnt for the support.

Are you for real? This is complete rubbish. You don't just become a writer by deciding you are one. That's like me saying I'm a singer simply because I occassionally sing in the shower. It's arrogant and it belittles the writers who actually write for a living. Writing involves hardwork and perseverance. Not everyone can be a writer. If you do have it in you, you'll produce books without having to talk yourself into thinking of yourself as a writer.
Yet you're on a video about how to become a professional writer, so obviously you still have quite a ways to go yourself. Don't be a douche. Not everyone is always sure of themselves all the time and for those who are (the overwhelming majority of beginning writers, myself included) need to consistently build up their confidence, more so than the already established and professional. So, to put it lightly, you can go fuck yourself.
@jerms246 Well what she says is true. The minute you say to yourself that you're a writer, then you're a writer. Don't worry about the fame, and the money. If that's what a person is gonna focus on, it ain't gonna work.
l WILL BE A WRITER!
maybe...

Wow, confirmation bias at it's best. She never said that hard work and perseverance don't contribute to becoming a writer, did she now?
