When i was on Coast Starlight #11 or #14 we had a train delay at moorpark cause a dead guy was in the tunnel it delayed 5 trains even my train and a surfliner with a amtrak car!

surprising how this exact train crashed, and yet so breathetaking. i know for a fact i wont be getting on a any trains soon until they come up with new technology to fix this problem which should have been fixed long ago.

THe technology already exists and is used on many lines, just not this one. It is a federal requirement that all routes where train speeds reach 90 MPH or higher must have positive train control, sometimes called ATS. It is already set up on the "Surf Line" Los Angeles to San Diego, so it is basically impossible for something like this to happen. Unfortunately, metrolink had the poor insight not to install it on this line, more of a "cheaper is better" attitude....

You are right, that is the only evidence of a possible cause we currently have at the moment. It was very irrisponsable of him and it cost 26 peeple their lives. But you could also blame Metrolink for being too cheap to install ATS.

An english teacher from my school was seriously injured in this crash yesterday and died this morning.
