@tna420wrestling I don't think it's fair to say that the first line has to single-handedly win the cup. Other lines have to produce. Marchand is not a first liner but he had great production in SCF. Gillis is addressing the issue by having a more productive 4th line. Sedins are fine but 1st line could be better if they have a gritty, solid winger. Burrows can move down to second line and play alongside Kes and he already proved to have great chemistry with him.

@tna420wrestling That wasn't the main problem though. They couldn't score. You win the cup with DEPTH scoring. Marchand wasn't a first liner but he made a huge impact in the series. Gillis is addressing the issue by bulking up the roster down to the 4th line that can score as well. If anything, the Sedins should have a gritty, tough and elite forward. Burrows can be bumped down with Kes and that's great because he also have great chemistry with him.

@tna420wrestling I agree with that in partial. They need to learn how to get through the defense that good coaches in the east will instill when playing them. The rest of the team needs to learn how to create that space, and also there needs to be secondary scoring. These things are obvious to me, BUT I think they WOULD have won this past summer if it hadn't been for the injury to Hamhuis, suspension to Rome, injury to Mase... I know others were beat up, but I think those three did them in.

@chelsey1417 we screwed up cuz of the coach. the only line that was effective in the boston series was the Torres Lapierre Hansen line.. when they got a chance .. they scored.. twice .. out of 4 goals in the whole series. the coach insisted on playing the sedins .. even though they were a minus 10 and minus 15 which is impossible to get in the playoffs playin on the top line...so since the sedins did the impossible . coach played them as much as possible. shud have played 3rd line
