I worked for wal mart when I retired. They truly suck. They suck the life out of you. They suck away your salary. They suck away your medical benefits. They suck your breaks and lunch away from you. i was a manager for 7 years there, they truly are freaking evil man. No one will stop shopping there, i quit after i quit the company. Its been 3 years for me. I am so glad i left that company. The money they make, compared to the money they give back is just sickening. The CEO when i was there the last year got a 4.7 million dollar "bonus Check", while the average employee that year got a bonus of around 400 dollars. Nice. However, all the cheap bastards will keep shopping there.
Wal-Mart sucks. during training, they give you the "We are all a family." Go around, but I smile and say hey to people all the time, and get the go to hell look from people in my crew. But it pays pretty good, unless your in a paygrade level 1. When im making $9.20 an hour, working nine hours shifts, you could tell me you hate me, and it wont bother me any.

I just quit walmart 3 days ago... I've never been happier. My boss turned into a jack ass when I quit. @worseorbetter i been stationed in Germany for about 6 years in Bavaria. Small businesses are fucking booming over here. i wish it was like that in the states. bakeries and butcher shops and little mom and pop stores are like McDonalds and WalMarts in the states. The only thing that sucks about Germany is they can't have Taco Bells but we got one on a few posts.

@worseorbetter it's hard for me to tell the average income over here because i am not average but there seems to be very little poverty and crimes in most cities. health care is better but taxes are at 19%. lucky for me, i can use VAT forms and not pay that but still. watch that movie Zeitgeist Moving Forward. towards the end it explains alot. I love working for Wal-Mart. I work for Wal-Mart distribution center and make $18.60 an hour. Only work 3 days a week 6:00am to 5:30pm and have the chance to help the second shift in order to get 40 hours a week. Not to mention I work in the QA department which is inventory which is ridiculously easy. I just go up to a slot and count how many cases of product are in a slot with an audit gun. I highly reccomend working for Wal-Mart distribution center, stay away from the store though.

I've walked out on positions at WalMart after being hired, after orientation, for finding these things out. However, I now live in an area with little, almost no industry. I applied to both Sam's Club and Wal-Mart today, which are within a 30 mile radius. I expect to be hired back, despite my differences with the bureaucracy therein. I hate WalMart, but I need a j.o.b.

you get to keep what you have but no one else has them or can apply for them. you have to be full time to get benefits and they aren't hiring full time anymore. they are even hiring an outside company that are not walmart employees and is at a place called paysetters where you go if say you are a felon and cant get a job. that way if they do something walmart isnt responsible. everyone is afraid there going to loose there job everyday. we just walmarts slaves. not employees.

Everything on here is so true. if not more now. i work at wal mart and have since 2006. they have gotten worse and worse. there is a lot of favortism. they treat employees like crap. and they dont give a F*** about anyone. im a cashier now. i used to work freight when i started. they are fireing people and hireing no one to replace them. they even fired an employee that had worked there over 20 years a few weeks ago. they are wanting everyone else to do the work of 10 people.
Everything in your video is true. My little sis and our friends work there. The policies are sooo tough and the employees are made to work so much freight eveyday..and cleaning and return buggies...the rules are sooo strict..then all it takes is one mean customer to lie to a manger.. We know an employee working there that is suicidal. She has no family, is all alone, and there are no jobs. She must work there...but she keeps talking about suicide because she is so depressed. She's changed.
I am a member of the American Postal Workers Union. If it wasnt for my union I owuld be making close to minimum wage with no benefits. And I would have probably gotten fired 20 years ago when I had to work 84 hrs per week. 12 hrs 7 days a week for 5 1/2 months. I got chronic tendonitis in both elbows and needed 2 surguries on both. I was given a letter of termination for my hard work and without my union I would have lost my joband had 2 screwed up elbows the rest of my life.
Do a lot of people really expect that being a cashier or shelf stalker is going to pay for a family, including insurances? These jobs are for kids to make a few bucks before and through college and for retirees to make a few bucks and get out of the house and be around people. You can't expect to be given a career and a life by a job that requires so little education and training.
i worked 4 walmart 4 8 and a half yrs and was fired bcoz of a family fued that the store manager knew that was goin on and it was bcoz the customer & her mom was mad at someone in my family they complained on me til i was fired. I was working 2 support 4 people due 2 ecomonical reasons and 2 of the 4 were children. walmart isnt family friendly and if you kiss butt u move up in the company and if you dont your the dirt and trash on the store floor. My last mgr at walmart WAS for the assoicates,she even wore the same uniform as we did and worked along side us and was friendly and family like. When my store had a major overhaul, the mgrment changed with it. Now the store's new overnight mgr is more for walmart than its workers, and she came down hard on everybody when she first showed up. I have gotten in her face and told her, i would not put up with your BS anymore. She hasn't fuck w/me again since then, and shows me more respect now. :-)

The last straw for me was when my wife bought a 3 foot pigskin cew for my dog. He loves those chews to death, but when we gave him that chew it was in his mouth for 1 second. He was petrified of it. I even put a piece of carved chicken breast on it and he wouldnt go near it. It was made in china.

At the store I work at, I'm on overnight Inventory Control, I never get to leave on time. I'm scheduled 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the earliest I ever get to leave is 9 a.m.
and while I'm there past my time to leave busting my butt, the day shift people stand around watching us work, and management treats all of us like dogs. Unless if you're a brown noser, then you get promotions, and a friendly pat on the back even though the brown nosers don't do anything but stand around kissing butt.
Its a job which is better than nothing. Work is not supposed to be a day in Disneyland its WORK! If you dont want to work when they want you then you dont need a job?!

Small businesses are fucking booming over here. i wish it was like that in the states. bakeries and butcher shops and little mom and pop stores are like McDonalds and WalMarts in the states. @worseorbetter it's hard for me to tell the average income over here because i am not average but there seems to be very little poverty and crimes in most cities. health care is better but taxes are at 19%. lucky for me, i can use VAT forms and not pay that but still. watch that movie Zeitgeist Moving Forward. towards the end it explains alot. I love working for Wal-Mart. I work for Wal-Mart distribution center and make $18.60 an hour. Only work 3 days a week 6:00am to 5:30pm and have the chance to help the second shift in order to get 40 hours a week. Not to mention I work in the QA department which is inventory which is ridiculously easy. I just go up to a slot and count how many cases of product are in a slot with an audit gun. I highly reccomend working for Wal-Mart distribution center, stay away from the store though.

I applied to both Sam's Club and Wal-Mart today, which are within a 30 mile radius. I expect to be hired back, despite my differences with the bureaucracy therein. I hate WalMart, but I need a j.o.b.

The policies are sooo tough and the employees are made to work so much freight eveyday..and cleaning and return buggies...the rules are sooo strict..then all it takes is one mean customer to lie to a manger.. We know an employee working there that is suicidal. She has no family, is all alone, and there are no jobs. She must work there...but she keeps talking about suicide because she is so depressed. She's changed.

I am a member of the American Postal Workers Union. If it wasnt for my union I owuld be making close to minimum wage with no benefits. And I would have probably gotten fired 20 years ago when I had to work 84 hrs per week. 12 hrs 7 days a week for 5 1/2 months. I got chronic tendonitis in both elbows and needed 2 surguries on both. I was given a letter of termination for my hard work and without my union I would have lost my joband had 2 screwed up elbows the rest of my life.

i worked 4 walmart 4 8 and a half yrs and was fired bcoz of a family fued that the store manager knew that was goin on and it was bcoz the customer & her mom was mad at someone in my family they complained on me til i was fired. I was working 2 support 4 people due 2 ecomonical reasons and 2 of the 4 were children. walmart isnt family friendly and if you kiss butt u move up in the company and if you dont your the dirt and trash on the store floor. My last mgr at walmart WAS for the assoicates,she even wore the same uniform as we did and worked along side us and was friendly and family like. When my store had a major overhaul, the mgrment changed with it. Now the store's new overnight mgr is more for walmart than its workers, and she came down hard on everybody when she first showed up. I have gotten in her face and told her, i would not put up with your BS anymore. She hasn't fuck w/me again since then, and shows me more respect now. :-)

The last straw for me was when my wife bought a 3 foot pigskin cew for my dog. He loves those chews to death, but when we gave him that chew it was in his mouth for 1 second. He was petrified of it. I even put a piece of carved chicken breast on it and he wouldnt go near it. It was made in china.

Someone ELSE did my job wrong (but apparently it's my responsibility to monitor someone helping me when I'm NOT a supervisor/manager) OH and the other guy ADMITTED it was his fault it was wrong, but they still fired me with no warnings; and 2. cause it was down how our PREVIOUS manager told us to do it. How fucked in the head are they? Respect is non existant there, it's by far the worst place you can work at today.

Alas that describes most of the people that work there. The people who didn't go to college and had kids at an early age, or have kids and are young, so those people can't get another job. Some even have two jobs.

At the store I work at, I'm on overnight Inventory Control, I never get to leave on time. I'm scheduled 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the earliest I ever get to leave is 9 a.m.
and while I'm there past my time to leave busting my butt, the day shift people stand around watching us work, and management treats all of us like dogs. Unless if you're a brown noser, then you get promotions, and a friendly pat on the back even though the brown nosers don't do anything but stand around kissing butt.

We will let all associates work the morning shift and pay everyone 50k a year. This would not work and everyone knows it, and it still would not make all you haters happy. You would still find something else to bitch about. Try working hard and promotions will come your way.

Walton's views the associates as slaves for thier money making machine. They are no different than the slave owners of the 1800's. Wal-Mart only cares about dividends, CEO pay, and if the Waltons add another 1,000 Square foot to thier homes!
