The Equals did'nt have a Bass player , in their heyday . Maybe some studio tracks , like this one , did , but , they generally got by with three guitars , one tuned to resemble a bass. I don't think it's a bass , here. Thanks for putting up the "EVEN THE WHITE PEOPLE , NOW !!" version . I'm White , and I think it's hilarious , but well - intentioned. You'll note Derv says "Even the White Brothers..." , too. It does'nt turn up very often. I only have it on a crappy Astan cassette from Germany.

this is a cool version - I'm amazed that I keep hearing alternate versions to a lot of their songs - I didn't realize they had so many duplicate recordings - in any case, I've got to put my vote in here: the organ version is better :)
Oh man, that bassline is totally Kingston ska, and the guitar leans that way as well. What a great blend of styles. I'm not a major fan of the Equals, but this song demands a revival!
