  • Do you know the name of the brazilian piece he plays?

  • It's about time there's an expert at expert village who can actually teach!

  • wooo!! runescape rocks above all shit games!!

  • It's hard to imagine anyone better than Tommy Emmanuel. But, it's not a horse race. Tommy certainly plays better than I, but he'll never BE me or write the tunes I do, nor the ones YOU do. Do it to love it and everyone else will too, especially someone like Tommy.

  • AMEN!!

  • No hay de que! Un secreto. Yo olvide parte de la canta. Si lo aprendes, por favor ensena me :)

  • Andy Mckee is the best at thisstyle

  • I love listening to Andy. I have no idea what he has to do with this lesson though. Most of his Youtube videos are in altered tuning...

  • i like antoine dufour better

  • Are you saying he is better than Tommy Emmanuel???

  • he is damn good..

  • Why didn't you just call this a lesson in barre chords?

  • Because saying the phrase "barre chords" can trigger automatic thought patterns about what they are. I'm interested in teaching what they DO/how they work. So I named the lesson based on what I want students to think about - "moving chord SHAPES"

  • "and... BINGO!" hahahahaha that was great.

  • uhhhhh I dont get it...........it sucks having ADD

  • :) THANKS! oxoxoxox

  • HOLY MOLY !! expertvillage have 138971 videos !!!!!!!

  • How did you do that intro i got 2 learn it!

  • You could totally tell that this guy used to be a hardcore hippie.

  • HAHAHAHA.

  • su tecnica esta de la chingada

  • thanks for the help =)

  • Oh hey, I didn't see you there. Welcome to my internet video!

  • its called guitar for begginers not guitar lessons for experts dang man!

  • I SUCK AT GUITAR!!!!!!!!! lol i only started learning september 2008

  • huh? i didnt get anything he sed

  • hes explaining bar chords, when u have one chord shape off the second or third fret and u move it down to say the 5 or 6th fret all u do to get the chord is keep the same formation and slap ur index finger on the open strings, Its as if your index finger is actually the nut at the top of the guitar

  • so if u do a d chord and move it down anywhere on the fret board with a barre it still sound the same as the original d chord?

  • depending where ur at on the neck it will be in the same key but wont sound the same. And this doesnt work everywhere on the neck

  • hmm yeaa...wouldnt that be somethin like usin a capo? ...or am i retarded? interesting....

  • yes your index finger acts as a capo... except the whole idea is that you can move it up and down and switch between bar chords and open chords. A capo you'd have to stop and reposition every time.

  • Good explanation! And good discussion.

  • grazie millee!! belle spiegazioni ..(thank you so much...good explanations) ciao dall'italia

  • since im a begginer at guitar is it normal to hear the sound of your sliding fingers when you play?

  • Oh my god go see a docter quick!!

  • Dont be mean..

  • Yes it is :)

  • yes its normal. if you dont like it you can get some fingerease at the guitar shop...its sposed to be easier on ur fingers but i dunno bout that. anywhoo.

  • very nice of you sounds great

  • nice teaching...thanks for sharing...
