DC Comics is coming out with a Smallville season 11 comic book, continues where this season left off! It comes out April 13, 2012. Thumbs up so all fans can hear about it!
omg i cried soooo much when i saw the ending to this. i have been watching this show religously for 10 years. it has been my favourite show for ten years and i havent stopped talking about it for 10 years. i cant believe this is over, a whole generation of show has ended. FAREWELL SMALLVILLE!!!!!

@ThaliaK77 Are you kidding? 'Unique love'? He may have loved her, but she never loved him. She went through like, 12 different boyfriends (and betrayed Clark by being with Lex, his worst enemy) in the first 6 seasons! So I wouldn't call it love especially when she was always complaining about him lying to her but she was lying to him at the same time. So he may have had a little bit of childish love for her, but she certainly didn't care. She wanted powers, which broke them up = Kryptonite.
the only thing they could've done to make the ending better is like they did at the end of the superman movies when superman was flying in the upper atmosphere at the end of the old movies that would've been the best
So many things wrong in just 3 and a half minutes. Chloe and Oliver shouldn't be together. Chloe shouldn't have been the one to blurp out Superman in the finale. After a whole season's worth of build-up Clark and Lois should have gotten married...not that they needed to originally but given how much they build it up. Lex shouldn't be president, just a businessman by day, clear villain by night. That bit made S5 pointless.
And finally. SV ISN'T SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE PREQUEL. NO WILLIAMS MUSIC!!

@YuJaYuAS Character-wise the two wouldn't marry each other (it's a miracle Ollie marries at all). Lois should have named Superman on the spot when he appeared first time. Clark was still the Blur to the Metropolis people anyways. The comic was stupid exposing Clark's secret! Why? If it's handmade then why tell a kid who'll get into trouble because of it. Storywise Lex shouldn't be president. S1 showed it would be Harmageddon. S5 stopped that at it's roots. Doing it in the Finale...
@Bloggerboy1000 Well, if you remember in "Fortune" Chloe and Ollie got married without their knowledge, so they just went with it. Lois naming Superman wasn't really needed if people were still calling him the Blur, but once he stopped blurring, they need a new name for him. I bet Lois was the one who made the name public, Chloe was just reading the comic. I agree the comic was a little weird, but I don't think it said the name Clark Kent in it. They just tyed in Lex's presidency to the comic :P
@YuJaYuAS Yes, because you should never undo a "Vegas wedding". Imo so OOC of Chloe...then again S10 retconned that she was the first one to believe in Clark...instead of the Kents. Lois had a camera and could have named him Superman on the plane. Not showing that onscreen was kinda anti-climatic after the build-up of Clark stepping into the open/public. Smallville isn't a big place. The townspeople would recognize Clark. Someone would have come to ask questions eventually.

@Bloggerboy1000 Well, I don't think it was meant to be a prequel, but using the iconic music is good as a sort of callback to the older Supes fans, I don't think they were trying to be Superman: The Prequel -_- I think SV did deserve to use it... after all, they'd gone ten years for CK to be Superman, what other music would they play? Smallville's original vision was kinda stupid, with the teen-drama stuff, basically the first 3 seasons... it was better after the creators left, in my opinion...
@YuJaYuAS Smallville had a theme of it's own played at the start of each episode not to mention a composer. Tom Welling wouldn't even agree to put on the suit. The cgi was horrible. That's not worth John Williams imo. I agree the show got better with a new crew but the core of the show was Clark and Lex were friends when they were young. S10 screwed that over. Also the S9-10 Clois was as painful as the first season stuff and mostly pointless because they didn't get even married.

@KryptonianChaos1 let me help you out, in the finally the real Lex died but his father who was overshadowed by Darkseid created an evil clone of Lex. Lionel was then defeated when he tried to kill Clark saying he was only one to tip the balance to the light but the Clark gains the power to fly. The clone of Lex is know head of LuthorCorp and only has some of the real Lex's memories not including Clark's secret. Hope this helped out
@narutocaprirequest2 Lex isn't a clone but he might as well be a new character given how he lost his memories making him a new character possibly going good given how he's the president. Or if he went evil again we sure didn't see it on Smallville contrary to what was the show's intention. Good or evil the Lex we saw in this scene was not SV-Lex but someone new. If he did regain his memories then Tess' death was pointless among other things.
@playfulpaul1985 They don't know how to write Superman. They can only tease and make homages to Superman: The Movie or Lois & Clark so I don't think this show really needs, deserves or can produce a movie.
They had their ten years and were already out of ideas during Season 10.
@Bloggerboy1000 this was never a show about superman. it was a show about Clark kent learning to become superman and that is exactly what we got. If he had become superman in season 5 the show wouldnt have last ten years it wouldve been over.
@lestat34208 By the end of the show Smallville had used like 90% of the source material yet it's not a Superman show? Clark took a superhero identity in S8, got a costume in 9 and another in S10.
Clark could have worn the Superman suit, learned to fly and the show wouldn't be any different except loads better since it's story developes naturally. What the show did was drag itself since they didn't know how to execute a Superman show and TW didn't want to wear the suit.
@lestat34208 I agree Smallville started as a story for Clark Kent but somewhere down the line (especially after the original producers left) the show changed fundamentally. Yet they still tried to hold on to the past for the reasons I've given.
While I don't agree with Clark in his statement in Masquerade: "I've always been the Blur." the quote itself seems to imply that SV took itself as a superhero show.
The whole series was one long tease leading up to that final moment. Ten years is WAY too long to wait. Fortunately, I skipped all 10 years except for this clip posted on Youtube. LOL
@snake2006 Kinda. In the comics, Oliver had a son name named Conner Hawke, who became the second Green Arrow. So it's implied this kid is Connor and he will eventually follow in his father's footsteps.
A Lois and Clark season would have been awesome. That way we could have gotten to see both Clark and Superman. Too much wasted crap in Season 10, quite annoying actually. Only Tom and Erica though cause there great and lets be honest, most beautiful people ever.
They should've had him flying into outerspace, smiling to the camera like Christopher Reeve did. That shot would have 2 of the main epic part the director was saving for at the end. Showing him fully flying and showing him fully in his suit.

Now I can't wait for the Man of Steel movie! Cavill will be awesome (even though it would have been fun to see Welling on the big screen) and I think it will be the best Superman movie of all time! Christopher Nolan will help make sure that happens :)

Erica Durance by far has been the best Lois Lane portrayed. For those of you who care, but didn't know, Lois Lane was actually Erica's favorite comic book character growing up. She stated that in an interview if I remember correctly. She was much better than Margot Kidder, and Kate Bosworth was the absolute worse Lois and was probably the worst part of Superman Returns
@cc1982ish The show followed the comics more than the films in this regard, and in the comics Lois fell in love with Clark and just had a crush on Superman.
I started watching smallville in the begining of June, and i just finished watching the whole Series (all 10 seasons) just now. lol i wanna see JUSTICE LEAGUE NEXT!!!!!!
I still think should have had him fly off instead start of in slowmotion like Neo when he flying out of the fire sort of thing, and then have him speed off faster than a bullet barely even see it

Ok I know is that the new film with Dommsday purports to be ... I do not know whether that's true. However, Darkseid's recurring would also a great film as long as he is playing well.
No sense for Hollywood to have done that. Welling is the Smallville Clark. How stupid would they have to be to reboot a franchise using a well known actor who has been playing the part for years. They need a new Superman to attract a new fanbase, if they chose Welling everyone would just see it as a Smallville movie.

So that was pretty bloody good. The Superman theme music when Chloe was reading to her son and the ending. Just right i think. Though i did have a wry smile and the complete score at the end with Clarke running into the camera. I had to laugh. It's a shame Tom Welling/Erica Durance etc aren't in the upcoming movie. They were the best, bar Reeve. After playing these character for 10 years, no-one could do it better. I'd also have the writers, producers and directors from the show do the movie.
I had hoped that Smallville would end the same way all the Superman movies ended, with him flying out toward the sun from earth and smile at the camera, but this is good enough
@videozfann ..I understand that this was the finale...I'm just saying that the fans who spent 10 yrs watching the show ( I just watched the finale myself) deserve more than just a few minuste of Superman. They even built up a story as they ended it. The guy who played Clark isn't doing anything important anyway, he is just producing that horrible Wild Cats show. I'm sure he's doing it for the "tail" he's getting. Can't blame him. So he should do a Superman movie.

Clark could have worn the Superman suit, learned to fly and the show wouldn't be any different except loads better since it's story developes naturally. What the show did was drag itself since they didn't know how to execute a Superman show and TW didn't want to wear the suit.

@lestat34208 I agree Smallville started as a story for Clark Kent but somewhere down the line (especially after the original producers left) the show changed fundamentally. Yet they still tried to hold on to the past for the reasons I've given.
While I don't agree with Clark in his statement in Masquerade: "I've always been the Blur." the quote itself seems to imply that SV took itself as a superhero show.

@snake2006 Kinda. In the comics, Oliver had a son name named Conner Hawke, who became the second Green Arrow. So it's implied this kid is Connor and he will eventually follow in his father's footsteps.

Now I can't wait for the Man of Steel movie! Cavill will be awesome (even though it would have been fun to see Welling on the big screen) and I think it will be the best Superman movie of all time! Christopher Nolan will help make sure that happens :)

Erica Durance by far has been the best Lois Lane portrayed. For those of you who care, but didn't know, Lois Lane was actually Erica's favorite comic book character growing up. She stated that in an interview if I remember correctly. She was much better than Margot Kidder, and Kate Bosworth was the absolute worse Lois and was probably the worst part of Superman Returns

So that was pretty bloody good. The Superman theme music when Chloe was reading to her son and the ending. Just right i think. Though i did have a wry smile and the complete score at the end with Clarke running into the camera. I had to laugh. It's a shame Tom Welling/Erica Durance etc aren't in the upcoming movie. They were the best, bar Reeve. After playing these character for 10 years, no-one could do it better. I'd also have the writers, producers and directors from the show do the movie.

They even built up a story as they ended it. The guy who played Clark isn't doing anything important anyway, he is just producing that horrible Wild Cats show.
