For piezo pickups, where should I place it for best results/no buzzing. Also, with what should I stick it with if I want it pernamently in the guitar? Thank you very much! = )
@gutenschneider You'll have to experiment. Depends on the construction, probably not to the tin. To the through neck if you used one or even to the headstock works quite well. Most piezos have either a clip, suction pad, or adhesive strip for fixing. Otherwise you could try either making a little clamp to hold in place or use impact adhesive or supeglue.
@TheCGIMaster Hi. I dont think it makes a massive difference with tins. Obviously if it's got a through neck they cant go in the middle, otherwise anything goes.
@homegrownguitars Mr Webb., is there a difference in sound quality between a neck that has frets and a neck that does not? I noticed some of your guitars are fretless but are hand drawn.
@w0sh1m3 Yes! The ones without frets are best for playing mainly with a slide. When played normally the notes sound less clear without the frets. Also without frets it's really difficult to play chords.
@homegrownguitars Oh! But What can i use to make the frets? it seems awfully difficult to make. In addition, i dont have much tools to work with. Do you have any suggestions of what materials i could use for the frets?
i assume you made the neck? how much work was it, and how did your first one turn out? by the way, check out my channel, theres another video of that beautiful cbg, this time electric.
Yeh I usually do make the necks. Quite a lot of work when its maple, its hard stuff! The first neck i made was ok apart from the fretting which wasnt great. Fortunately i've got that sorted now. Thanks again.
You know I had to favorite this video. You and tinyguitars are my two favorite builders here on youtube. What a beautiful little guitar. Form and function. Side by side. Thanks for sharing.

okay with fret placements on the guitar and your cardboard uke, how do you figure that out?
ghettoswagtypewriter 1 year ago
@ghettoswagtypewriter use a fret position calculator. Type Manchester Guitar tech into google - theres a good one on their site.
Decide on your string /scale length type it in and the no of frets and it works it all out for you.

@homegrownguitars
Does it matter where the sound holes are?

@w0sh1m3
You can simply use toothpicks, or spare Kebab(Kabob) sticks.
