It's a RWD car boys. Stop wondering why only the rear wheels are turning and it has slicks on all 4 corners. It's possible to make a DSM RWD. Seen one in person at the Shootout.
Yea man, its an AWD for sure. 4 wheels = 4 slicks. But if youre broke (like me), and the shop you go to is broke, then you/they cant afford an AWD dyno. So then you switch it to RWD and dyno it that way. You still end up getting pretty accurate results. They do the same with 4WD trucks :)
He probably has a welded center differential in the car. It Locks the AWD 50/50, or if you A. Put dummy axles in the Front for RWD or B. Disconnect the Transfer case/driveshaft for FWD. I have a a welded center diff in my car and I drove around for weeks RWD waiting for my new axles to come in the mail. (axle plugs) Let me tell you it was crazy and I had NO TRACTION. 500whp plus RWD street tires = bad AWD = WIN
They normally dyno fwd when it's only a 2wd dyno, but according to all the info I've found on it, this was definately an AWD car. The 4 slicks kind of give it away in the pictures I've found of the car.
Really how do you figure, it's not like the rears stop spinning just because the fronts aren't gripping that well. And yes, RWD would be better at that high horse power, but you can't say AWD wont get any traction, they will still and always get more traction, just that power isn't meant to go through that much drivetrain, something will break and it WILL be bad
Weight transfer, that's how I figure. The front wheels will just spin, while still sending power to the rear wills and they will get grip but they don't get as much power as they would in a RWD car which would get traction and full power.

At the time Buschur only had a RWD dyno, so he put dummy axles in the front and dynoed in RWD...
