the problom i had with my 3gen ipod touch was the battery life. when i brought my 3gen touch home and charged it fully. unpluged it started useing it the battery life went down not like 10 mints after useing it. i just bought the new ipod touch 4gen and i gotta say battery on it way way way better. and the screen on it much nicer then the 3gen touch.
