Okay, you said we didn't post why we like Twilight, so here goes: It's the ultimate fantasy love story. He's willing to give up his own life for her, he loves her enough to let her go, she's his soul mate, whom he's waited for almost 100 years. He's always trying to be the perfect gentleman, cares for her soul, thinking his is gone, but he's determined to let Bella have the happiest life she is allowed. That's why.
How does that change anything? So what if he's a vampire? Edward still watches Bella sleep when he doesn't even know her! Why would stalking be okay? This comes down to realism. The books have to be believable in way. Stalking isn't okay in our world, so why would stalking be okay in Meyer's world, which was based off ours? Honestly, if someone you loved told you that he/she came in your room at night, without your knowledge, and watched you sleep, would you find it romantic? -c-
Again, imprinting will be sexual in the future. Growing up with someone and then, suddenly, being lovers? I find it sick.
Edward and Bella's so called love is infatuation. Can you tell me why Edward and Bella love each other so much? Bella thinks Edward is hot, and Edward likes the smell of Bella's blood. What other connection do they have? They both tell each that they love each other, but we are never really shown. That's one of Meyer's flaws: she always tells and never shows. -c-
If Edward cares for Bella's soul so much, why did he turn her? If he thinks being vampire means you've lost your soul, why did he want Bella to become one? If you ask me, I find that selfish. If he thinks his soul is damned, then why would he damn her soul as well?
In the end, he turned her to save her life. She was dying and knew that it was her wish to be a vampire and so as his last act of love for her, he granted her wish, no matter how much it hurt him to do that. He thinks his soul is damned, but deep down, there's the hope that Carlisle is right, that they didn't lose their soul, as seen in New Moon, when Bella rushes to save him. He isn't shocked that he's in "heaven". He'd do anything for her because of his love. I don't need to explain that love
He promised to turn her anyway, after they got married. It was his intention the entire time to turn her, knowing that her soul would be damned (Or so he thinks). Their love is infatuation; they have no connection. We are told their love is TRUE LOVE, but we never really shown.
I love how everyone tries to turn this into a horror about a stalker. He's not a normal human. He's a vampire and only in this alternate reality, is what he does okay. Anyone else who does that is a stalker. Done by Edward does make sense, he's found the one he loves after almost 100 years and she loves him just as much. Same with imprinting. It's not pedophilia. They don't see their imprintee that way when they are younger, they see them as a younger sister or friend.
Also, imprinting introduces the theme of pedophilia. Imprinting is an instinct that insures procreation. That's all it's for. So when you have a grown man imprinting on a baby, it's not cute. That child is being set up for a certain man and has no choice in the matter.
Imprintings disgusting, its like growing up with a brother and then suddenly going into a sexual relationship! :|

Maybe because stalking IS scary. Shocking, right? Human or not, it's a felony and it IS a very creepy thing to do.
You do not breaking into someone's house and watch them sleep, knowing that every part of you want's to kill them.
"It's okay because he loves her" Do you realize how many stalkers actually have that mindset? It's a violation of privacy and it's WRONG. Period.
