First of all Breathe (Pink Floyd) is my favorite song from the other side of music, no pun intended, and secondly this is the best Eminem Solo of all time.
this is nice but em said fuk all these guys to bad he a greedy nigga and wanted shady records all 4 himself and proof. now royce is proof. lolz royce admiteed it too in a few song slaughterhouse 2 funny.
@Randz88Goddex Please tell me how it wasn't genious, if you could actioually disect his rhymes you would be blown away, this may susprise you but the style he used in recovery was very similar to the one in infinite. Also ive been rapping for a few years now and i can barely come close to his rhyme scheme without making it sound wack
@shadypyro415 me and eminem have the exact same birthday not that it matters but we born under the same stars so we thinkt he same i belive. or at lest same kinda mind state, despite what ppl say. and no he was trying his style was trying be the same but he says it already and he murderd the aplhabit so what more can he do. i wont comment no more cuz we probally see things differently. still good cd just not oe of his greatest.
I really like Eminem's old stuff but on why he didn't sign the Outsidaz, I really don't understand why he didn't sign the Outsidaz didn't he like grow up with them or something ? I agree with YoungWolve1 but 50 Cent's Power of The Dollar is my favorite album of his and I like Get Rich or Die Tryin' but i'm not a big 50 fan
Eminem haters are fucking pathetic. What the fuck do you want? A 40 year old FATHER talking about homosexuals and killing bitches? GROW THE FUCK UP.... Eminem has. 2011, Team Shady takeover, haters can suck a dick and go listen to their lovey dovey Young Money bullshit.
@nikesvvoosh em isnt washed up now hes just a grown ass man... grown ass men can still make good music (some new shit is catchy as fuck), but they cant spit like this; no fuckin way... dont get me wrong i like this old shit a lot better but what would that be sayin to hailie if em was still runnin around doin drugs at 40? hes too old to make true hip-hop but the new shit is like hip-pop, i like it personally but this is way better.. RIP to this shit cus its gone
@nikesvvoosh I've been listening since '03, I've heard *everything* that's on record. He's not washed up, he's putting out some of his best stuff (Stan still makes me bow in respect though).
No artist can put out the same shit for over 10 years and expect to be hitting the charts still.
@nikesvvoosh Yeah man, agreement 100%. It ain't that he couldn't rap about heartfelt stuff now, that's not even a question. It's the fact he's a sellout now, and that's true as shit man.

hes nt as good anymre cuz hes off drugs but wen he gets his sting back u neva kno he mite be goin back to dat hard slim shady shyt and i also hope he goes to his old flow
EMINEM STILL HAS MORE COMING WTF DOES NO ONE REMEMBER RELAPSE(3AM) OH RECOVRY WAS GR8 TOO SO HE SHOWED A MORE REAL SIDE YOU DON'T KNOW WHATS HE'S DOING IN HIS NEXT ALBUM HE COULD BE MAKING SOME CRISPY SLIM SHIT WTF
Okay, i admit I prefer Eminem's old stuff. But that doesnt mean lyrically his music changed? I mean, hes OFF drugs, that's gunna change himself, he evensaid he had to re-teach himeself how to rap again after that. give the guy a break?
Ok, people need to get off Em's back. He grew up, and changed his style. It happens to everyone. I'm sure most of you are like 18-25, were a kid when you heard shit like SSLP, SSEP, and MMLP and still want that shit because it appealed to you then, and it still does. When you get a little older you'll hopefully start to appreciate his DEEP music instead of only his VIOLENT music
@N0SEZ I undersdtand andc appreciate people who always are gonna be young at heart, but when you do that there's gonna have to be things you have do deal with, like artists growing up and becoming more mature and changing their styles. If you don't like his style fine but chill, if does songs with certain people or changes his style that's his decision. Listen to his old shit and quit complaining
@YoungWolve1 be grateful he got slaughterhouse and im pretty sure elzhi would rather be signed to another indie label. he signed 50 not for the money but for his music if you dnt understand that look for behined the music 50 cent and he'll tell you.
@YoungWolve1 well he signed yelawolf and slaughterhouse so obvously hes a smart man he looks for talent not money and 50 cent has talent and slaughterhouse and yela do 2
@YoungWolve1 I do agree with you about the majority of the rappers on your list but 50 was actually putting out good music when em signed him and he had such a buzz. He fell the fuck off now though
@barndaddy2 yeah, I was a little close minded when I wrote that. 50 is not very lyrical but I enjoy his music now. I like his flow and especially his hooks. I was focusing only on the lyrics back then. I still think lyrics are very important, but if the music is good, then why shouldnt I enjoy it.
@YoungWolve1 Go on Eminem.com and you'll see a excellent new! Royce da 5'9 and Eminem are back together to make a new music and will be release on June 14
@YoungWolve1 Outsidaz were signed to Shady when SR started. Royce too, but come on man, at the time Royce was beefing with every member of D12. Also Obie, Rah Digga, etc, Em signed a lot of true dudes like Dre did, at the end you need to give 50 a break, that boy is very lyrical too.
@REAK1ONE y'all can say what you want but eminem today is only bad compared to old eminem and other old rappers even though he aint as good today he's still waaaaaaay better than anyone else today!!!
@REAK1ONE ur trtipping he still has the multi rhyme skills what u talking about if ur trying to say he still cant rhyme then u dont know what a multi rhyme is.
@stacks6969allday you didnt read what i wrote homie. i said i miss the old EM. all this new shit from him is fucking wackness. yea he has multi rhymes but when i listen to his more recent shit i feel like im in 6th grade dude. im just tired of him now. when i wrote the original comment almost 5 months ago i wasnt looking to argue or get the top comment i just wanted to voice what i thought about him so dont trip its just my opinion.. obviously youve bought his albums and thing differently...
@Infernobowler300 Recovery was shit dude and on the real you cant judge my taste in music from a 14 word comment... to tell you the truth i wasnt going to reply but then i checked out your channel. thats when i saw that your a fucking fat geek who favorites model helicopter tutorial videos and lil wayne videos.. bahahaha get the fuck out here man!!!
"Fat"...you're so fucking retarded you can't even come up with something original to say.
"geek"... right... its called having a hobby. I enjoy aviation and will work in the business after I graduate college...something you won't get to cause your bitch ass will be flipping burgers your whole life.
@Infernobowler300 well infernobowler i call it how i see it. if youre a fat kid talking shit on the computer about something like music which you obviously have no fucking clue about and posting vids then youre a fat fucking geek.as for your career thats cool man but i could give a shit about what youre doing with yourself. the fact is if your going to post stuff on the internet then prepare yourself for some criticism and shit talk.on the music side read the comments below everyone else gets it
@Infernobowler300 i never favorited any Modern Warfare 3 videos i just liked it because ive met the dude before and im subbed to him. Even if i did you still look like an idiot.. yea so what if i like video games youve posted videos of yourself bowling and just an FYI that shit is for old ladies, fat kids, and 15 year olds going out on their first dates. dude im sorry but you have no room to talk. i could favorite a video of a fag dancing to some house music and still rip you so get the fuck out
@REAK1ONE for almost 3 years straight i dedicated myself lookin up any material EMINEM has evr dropped thts on youtube and believe me when I say I've heard anythin I can get my hands on and have even favorited any vid I consider a REAL rare track of his. With that said I think its safe 2 say tht my opinion counts when I say tht Recovery is amongst his best albums though at first it may seem opposite. After 1 year of studying his album I have concluded that its his greatest work metaphorically.
@nastyboyzey I can honestly say that i have heard everything he has put out also and still cant seem to make myself believe Recovery was his best work. im not saying his lyrics arent better or worse.. i just love his old skool flow and delivery.. his new shit is very "word play" with metaphors with a very quick but strange flow that i cant seem to get into.. his old shit had a perfect speed, BUT i respect your opinion non the less.. check out my page and lemme know what you think of my works
@nastyboyzey lol, The beats are garbage, the hooks are garbage, his voice sounds shitty, he yells too much, it's much softer than all his other albums for sure.
@whateverwhatever44 he has good wordplay in there that is it.. ever heard of 'infinite' 'slim shady LP' or the mmLP jeez if you compare those to recovery than you'll see
@belgiumlife yes i've heard those albums lol, and they are all good in their own way, all have good wordplay, flow and what, of course his style changed recovery is 12 fucking years after the mmlp but it's still amazing music as always, ever heard of 'hell: the sequel'? similar to recovery and its fucking insane
Those albums were good.....but his new stuff where he isn't talking about killing people and doing drugs in nearly every song is what I think makes it good. His flow is fantastic in recovery.
@Infernobowler300 killing people and doing drugs in every song... you mean relapse? you obvbiously haven't heard much Eminem, excluding that album, he's always had a very diverse subject matter... at least half of the songs on recovery are just about love for women.. yeah okay on the Slim Shady LP (one of his greatest) there were a couple of songs about drugs but there was also Guilty Conscience, If I Had, Role Model, Cum On Everybody, Still Don't Give A Fuck etc.
I can assure you I have listened to more eminem than 90% of the people on youtube. Don't forget about the song "Kim".
I'm fairly sure he isn't proud of that stuff he wrote about. Let's both agree Relapse was about drugs. Cinderella Man line: "Fuck my last CD, that shits in my trash."
Lyrically (metaphor and pun wise) Em has NEVER BEEN BETTER. Let's examine a few of ones that I think are great.
"I stick my dick in a circle, but I'm not fuckin' a-round." -Cold Wind Blows
@Infernobowler300 do you really think hes gotten better? let's compare:
"I know i'm a liar but if she ever tries to leave again imma tie her to this bed and set this house on fire" (love the way you lie - recovery) or "sorry puff but i wouldnt give a fuck if this chick was my own mother, id still fuck her with no rubber, cum insider and have a new son and a new brother at the same time and just say that it ain't mine."(I'm back - slim shady lp) I believe i rest my case. never say that again.
@Jakob123999 yeah but most mc's have a hot first album and don't do much afterward but ride the fame of their first release, i.e. nas, illmatic was dope the rest were nope.. emeinem is a great rhymer, fun to listen too, but lyrical content in terms of relevance, cant hold a candle to a lot of peeps, now rhyming wise- em is the best rhymer, not best rapper or lyricist though
"Get off my dick, dicks too short of word for my dick..get off my antidisestablishmentarianism you prick." -Almost Famous
"I'll cut my toes off and step on the receipt before I foot the bill"
You find me sicker puns and metaphors off of any of his other albums and get back at me.... and shit all of those came from very few songs... just think if I went through ALL of his recovery songs.
@Infernobowler300 Despicable=Ultimate usage of puns of any song ever created.
End of Story.
@Laurie12SlimShady isnt even arguing a point. He is merely rambling about his "knowledge" of EM which is obviously useless since he thinks the greatest rapper of all time is washed up
@214theabbey mate fuck you, he went a bit soft is all, his new tracks like fast lane show he's properly back.. my point is that Recovery wasn't his greatest album ever ever ever, it was very good best album of 2010 by far... and i got all his shit from soul intent through infinite the slim shady ep.. "i even got that underground shit you did wit skam"
@Laurie12SlimShady a bit soft? Other than Till I Collapse, Youre Never Over has more passion than any other song he has ever created. His pun usage, flow, passion, and diversity in Recovery are superior to all of his other albums (by a long shot). We can agree that he has done great work through out his entire career, but EM is in his prime and at the top!
@214theabbey when was the last time he made a fun song that was lyrically sound? of course You're Never Over has plenty of passion, i'd say Still Don't Give A Fuck is also passionate like those two btw though.. but other than that, all the songs are either "hey guys i'm back and a really good rapper" or "women like me" he's doing great and i'm sure he'll continue to regain skill but at the moment his albums generally lack subject matter (YNO is an exception) and recovery lacked fun
@Laurie12SlimShady Thats a matter of opinion. I dont care for fun songs such as We Made You, Ass Like That, and Without Me. They were all made when EM was high out of his mind and they are just a big joke. I'd rather listen to a song such as 313 (infinite), Not Afraid (recovery), 25 to Life (recovery), etc. that has every element of a great song--pun usage, passion, diversity, and flow
@214theabbey oh sorry for two comments but while i'm at it, the production was far too pop music for me and i hope detox and Hell The Sequel don't have the same issues.. the features were also shit: lil wayne, pink, rihanna etc. compare this to the MMLP: sticky fingaz rbx dr dre xzibit snoop dogg nate dogg d12 etc. (i'll let dido off because stan is one of the greatest songs ever) and he only did a couple of choruses on recovery
@Laurie12SlimShady True, but I think he was reaching out to other audiences with ft. different artists. Its unusual but worked wonders. Love the Way You Lie-329,411,121 views
@214theabbey 313 is a great song :) look up eminem - we shine, it's similar and very good. and yeah fair enough, it's cool he's got a wide fanbase but a lot of them since recovery are just faggots, i mean look at his facebook page haha.. but i do understand your point, i just miss his sense of humour a bit i think that's what differentiated him from all the other great rappers in the late 90s and early 00s
@Laurie12SlimShady you think? i'm thinking what differentiated him was the fact that he was whiter than snow in winter, but doper than heroin, crack, meth, and x, combined.. He was the first white dude to really bust nice flows to beats, but don't forget , without dre's help, eminem would have never been heard of.. Early em couldnt ride a beat always had nice rhymes, but dre taught him how to flow to the beat,
@Infernobowler300 ooh great metaphors, congratulations.. any emotion in any of those songs? if you want songs full of metaphors listen to Andre 3000, i listen to eminem for his honesty and emotional aspects of his music not for some puns.. Kim was a great song and he showed his feelings at the time, he should be proud of it Slim Shady's supposed to be controversial, not just a random rapper that collaborates with pop artists
@Laurie12SlimShady wait, i hear ya but come on, recovery still was a lot better than the other rap shit out there. and way better than relapse. in my opinion it's even close to eminem show, which is, to me, the best album.
@VANLE3 oh yeah i get ya but think about it, mainstream rap fucking sucks nowadays... and yeah now he's got the pills and shit out of his system it's gonna be an improvement on Relapse. But there are two types of Eminem fans: those who like Eminem (yourself), and those who like Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers. I'd like SSLP, SSEP, MMLP, Bad Meets Evil etc.. You'd prefer Infinite, Eminem Show (2 fantastic albums), Recovery and stuff :)
@Laurie12SlimShady it's true that i'd prefer Eminem Show but that's because it is the best rap album ever to me. but at the same time, i'm still listening to SSLP and MMLP and not just to listen to a song but i still listen to it all day long and then i switch and listen to eminem show. true, i like Eminem but i'm also a huge fan of Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers. And i always followed him, whether it was SSLP or now recovery
@belgiumlife no i didn't forget it, i just didn't include it... yeah infinite's sick as :) but probaby not as good as where he was in the Slim Shady EP era
@Laurie12SlimShady horrendous? his voice and style changed but it's still fucking amazing if you arent a biased prick and accept a change in style, and whos to say when he peaked? his career definitely is still going strong and hes still coming out with crazy shit to this day, every album is different in its own way, each has its weak and strong points, some people might favor flow over wordplay or vocabulary over flow or whatever, every album is amazing in different aspects
@whateverwhatever44 yep, music's subjective... no i never said he suddenly became shit; i said if you compare recovery to any material produced between 98 and 03 it comes off much worse. I didn't say it's fucking bollocks, I said it doesn't really compare to his older stuff. He's on a rise now for sure, since Encore he's been getting better album for album... maybe he'll reach his previous level in the future, who can tell... I was just comparing albums not lyrical states..
@973phoenix hmm... maybe, could have been longer though. I've always loved Bad Meets Evil, including the songs before 2011 (BME, renegades, N2D, scary movies). And Royce and Em make a sweet duo, so any material's bound to be great. I was comparing Recovery to my favourite albums of his, not his musical states, so why are you even bringing this up? Yep nice metaphors, pretty good flow sweet feel and I love both R&E; subject matter's a bit lacking though, and nothing bad or evil about Bruno Mars.
@Laurie12SlimShady just asking. Dont know if everyone got on that album. I personally think his verses on there were top notch to anything i heard before. And the "All She Wrote" Solo version. Sick as hell.
@973phoenix okay no worries, just sick of his new sycophant fans that heard of him through rihanna is all. Yeah BME is great, have you listened to their old shit too? just crazy... Em had some clever lines on HTS, Royce keeps him in competition, but I hope Slim continues with the fastpace fire on his next album; liked him getting back to Shady on it as well.. less soft, just wish he got more into it emotionally (drug ballard tone vs IOE tone, abovethelaw vs TIC ) but it's only a mixtape really.
@Laurie12SlimShady i love the old stuff and the new. i dont just like one era, i enjoyed his maturity. i look at this way, people change different day and have diff moods. i appreciate his different approaches. i love relapse. my fav is still marshall mathers LP. but i love them all. we gotta take account too that he has to please the mass media, not just the hardcore fans. money talks.
@973phoenix exactly the same up to the last two sentences... i think he just wanted to show he's matured, and prove it with unfavourable features, he doesn't need the money, i think Lose Yourself alone probably makes enough for him and Hailie etc to live off haha. hopefully he'll find a way to sell big on the radio and please real fans but i think he should (and now does) do it for love not money
@REAK1ONE gtfo your fuckin wack. Its not about im fuckin kill you fuck you. New eminem is way more though thru then is old shit and if you little brain cant understand what hes saying don tlisten to it. And stop insulting a god byt putting wack and shit in the same sentence as his name you fuck

alexthekiddd09 1 year ago
Okay, i admit I prefer Eminem's old stuff. But that doesnt mean lyrically his music changed? I mean, hes OFF drugs, that's gunna change himself, he evensaid he had to re-teach himeself how to rap again after that. give the guy a break?
MrMusic206 1 year ago

@YoungWolve1 I do agree with you about the majority of the rappers on your list but 50 was actually putting out good music when em signed him and he had such a buzz. He fell the fuck off now though
barndaddy2 10 months ago
@barndaddy2 yeah, I was a little close minded when I wrote that. 50 is not very lyrical but I enjoy his music now. I like his flow and especially his hooks. I was focusing only on the lyrics back then. I still think lyrics are very important, but if the music is good, then why shouldnt I enjoy it.

@YoungWolve1 Go on Eminem.com and you'll see a excellent new! Royce da 5'9 and Eminem are back together to make a new music and will be release on June 14
LilDany619 10 months ago
@YoungWolve1 Outsidaz were signed to Shady when SR started. Royce too, but come on man, at the time Royce was beefing with every member of D12. Also Obie, Rah Digga, etc, Em signed a lot of true dudes like Dre did, at the end you need to give 50 a break, that boy is very lyrical too.

After 1 year of studying his album I have concluded that its his greatest work metaphorically.
nastyboyzey 8 months ago 2
@nastyboyzey thats cool
REAK1ONE 8 months ago
@nastyboyzey I can honestly say that i have heard everything he has put out also and still cant seem to make myself believe Recovery was his best work. im not saying his lyrics arent better or worse.. i just love his old skool flow and delivery.. his new shit is very "word play" with metaphors with a very quick but strange flow that i cant seem to get into.. his old shit had a perfect speed, BUT i respect your opinion non the less.. check out my page and lemme know what you think of my works

belgiumlife 7 months ago
@belgiumlife yes i've heard those albums lol, and they are all good in their own way, all have good wordplay, flow and what, of course his style changed recovery is 12 fucking years after the mmlp but it's still amazing music as always, ever heard of 'hell: the sequel'? similar to recovery and its fucking insane

@Infernobowler300 recovery was horrendous compared to SSLP MMLP ES etc. he peaked somewhere between 1998 and 2003
Laurie12SlimShady 10 months ago 20
@Laurie12SlimShady
Those albums were good.....but his new stuff where he isn't talking about killing people and doing drugs in nearly every song is what I think makes it good. His flow is fantastic in recovery.
Infernobowler300 10 months ago
@Infernobowler300 killing people and doing drugs in every song... you mean relapse? you obvbiously haven't heard much Eminem, excluding that album, he's always had a very diverse subject matter... at least half of the songs on recovery are just about love for women.. yeah okay on the Slim Shady LP (one of his greatest) there were a couple of songs about drugs but there was also Guilty Conscience, If I Had, Role Model, Cum On Everybody, Still Don't Give A Fuck etc.
Laurie12SlimShady 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady
Infernobowler300 9 months ago
@Infernobowler300 do you really think hes gotten better? let's compare:
"I know i'm a liar but if she ever tries to leave again imma tie her to this bed and set this house on fire" (love the way you lie - recovery) or "sorry puff but i wouldnt give a fuck if this chick was my own mother, id still fuck her with no rubber, cum insider and have a new son and a new brother at the same time and just say that it ain't mine."(I'm back - slim shady lp) I believe i rest my case. never say that again.
Jakob123999 9 months ago
@Jakob123999 yeah but most mc's have a hot first album and don't do much afterward but ride the fame of their first release, i.e. nas, illmatic was dope the rest were nope.. emeinem is a great rhymer, fun to listen too, but lyrical content in terms of relevance, cant hold a candle to a lot of peeps, now rhyming wise- em is the best rhymer, not best rapper or lyricist though
jbizz2828 8 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady
Continued:
"Need I remind you I don't need the swine flu to be a sick pig" -WBD
"It's like apple to oranges, peaches to plums..yeah, I'm bananas pussy, cut off the grapes and grow a "pear" - CWB
"So every last word that you fuckin' fags heard comes straight from the fish's ass, yeah in other words I'm a "bass-turd" -Untitled
"Listen you garden tool, don't make me introduce you to my power tool...you know the "fucking drill" -WBD
Infernobowler300 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady
I'll stop here...for now.
Infernobowler300 9 months ago
@Infernobowler300 Despicable=Ultimate usage of puns of any song ever created.
End of Story.
@Laurie12SlimShady isnt even arguing a point. He is merely rambling about his "knowledge" of EM which is obviously useless since he thinks the greatest rapper of all time is washed up
214theabbey 9 months ago
@214theabbey mate fuck you, he went a bit soft is all, his new tracks like fast lane show he's properly back.. my point is that Recovery wasn't his greatest album ever ever ever, it was very good best album of 2010 by far... and i got all his shit from soul intent through infinite the slim shady ep.. "i even got that underground shit you did wit skam"
Laurie12SlimShady 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady a bit soft? Other than Till I Collapse, Youre Never Over has more passion than any other song he has ever created. His pun usage, flow, passion, and diversity in Recovery are superior to all of his other albums (by a long shot). We can agree that he has done great work through out his entire career, but EM is in his prime and at the top!
214theabbey 9 months ago
@214theabbey when was the last time he made a fun song that was lyrically sound? of course You're Never Over has plenty of passion, i'd say Still Don't Give A Fuck is also passionate like those two btw though.. but other than that, all the songs are either "hey guys i'm back and a really good rapper" or "women like me" he's doing great and i'm sure he'll continue to regain skill but at the moment his albums generally lack subject matter (YNO is an exception) and recovery lacked fun
Laurie12SlimShady 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady Thats a matter of opinion. I dont care for fun songs such as We Made You, Ass Like That, and Without Me. They were all made when EM was high out of his mind and they are just a big joke. I'd rather listen to a song such as 313 (infinite), Not Afraid (recovery), 25 to Life (recovery), etc. that has every element of a great song--pun usage, passion, diversity, and flow
214theabbey 9 months ago
@214theabbey oh sorry for two comments but while i'm at it, the production was far too pop music for me and i hope detox and Hell The Sequel don't have the same issues.. the features were also shit: lil wayne, pink, rihanna etc. compare this to the MMLP: sticky fingaz rbx dr dre xzibit snoop dogg nate dogg d12 etc. (i'll let dido off because stan is one of the greatest songs ever) and he only did a couple of choruses on recovery
Laurie12SlimShady 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady True, but I think he was reaching out to other audiences with ft. different artists. Its unusual but worked wonders. Love the Way You Lie-329,411,121 views
214theabbey 9 months ago
@214theabbey 313 is a great song :) look up eminem - we shine, it's similar and very good. and yeah fair enough, it's cool he's got a wide fanbase but a lot of them since recovery are just faggots, i mean look at his facebook page haha.. but i do understand your point, i just miss his sense of humour a bit i think that's what differentiated him from all the other great rappers in the late 90s and early 00s
Laurie12SlimShady 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady you think? i'm thinking what differentiated him was the fact that he was whiter than snow in winter, but doper than heroin, crack, meth, and x, combined.. He was the first white dude to really bust nice flows to beats, but don't forget , without dre's help, eminem would have never been heard of.. Early em couldnt ride a beat always had nice rhymes, but dre taught him how to flow to the beat,
jbizz2828 8 months ago
@214theabbey haha,,,NOT!!!!!!!!!
jbizz2828 8 months ago
@jbizz2828 name it then???
214theabbey 8 months ago
@Infernobowler300 ooh great metaphors, congratulations.. any emotion in any of those songs? if you want songs full of metaphors listen to Andre 3000, i listen to eminem for his honesty and emotional aspects of his music not for some puns.. Kim was a great song and he showed his feelings at the time, he should be proud of it Slim Shady's supposed to be controversial, not just a random rapper that collaborates with pop artists
Laurie12SlimShady 9 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady wait, i hear ya but come on, recovery still was a lot better than the other rap shit out there. and way better than relapse. in my opinion it's even close to eminem show, which is, to me, the best album.
VANLE3 8 months ago
@VANLE3 oh yeah i get ya but think about it, mainstream rap fucking sucks nowadays... and yeah now he's got the pills and shit out of his system it's gonna be an improvement on Relapse. But there are two types of Eminem fans: those who like Eminem (yourself), and those who like Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers. I'd like SSLP, SSEP, MMLP, Bad Meets Evil etc.. You'd prefer Infinite, Eminem Show (2 fantastic albums), Recovery and stuff :)
Laurie12SlimShady 7 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady it's true that i'd prefer Eminem Show but that's because it is the best rap album ever to me. but at the same time, i'm still listening to SSLP and MMLP and not just to listen to a song but i still listen to it all day long and then i switch and listen to eminem show. true, i like Eminem but i'm also a huge fan of Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers. And i always followed him, whether it was SSLP or now recovery
VANLE3 7 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady true, but you forgot infinite there
belgiumlife 7 months ago
@belgiumlife no i didn't forget it, i just didn't include it... yeah infinite's sick as :) but probaby not as good as where he was in the Slim Shady EP era
Laurie12SlimShady 7 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady horrendous? his voice and style changed but it's still fucking amazing if you arent a biased prick and accept a change in style, and whos to say when he peaked? his career definitely is still going strong and hes still coming out with crazy shit to this day, every album is different in its own way, each has its weak and strong points, some people might favor flow over wordplay or vocabulary over flow or whatever, every album is amazing in different aspects
whateverwhatever44 7 months ago
@whateverwhatever44 yep, music's subjective... no i never said he suddenly became shit; i said if you compare recovery to any material produced between 98 and 03 it comes off much worse. I didn't say it's fucking bollocks, I said it doesn't really compare to his older stuff. He's on a rise now for sure, since Encore he's been getting better album for album... maybe he'll reach his previous level in the future, who can tell... I was just comparing albums not lyrical states..
Laurie12SlimShady 6 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady BAD MEETS EVIL? probably eminems best lyrics ever.
973phoenix 6 months ago
@973phoenix hmm... maybe, could have been longer though. I've always loved Bad Meets Evil, including the songs before 2011 (BME, renegades, N2D, scary movies). And Royce and Em make a sweet duo, so any material's bound to be great. I was comparing Recovery to my favourite albums of his, not his musical states, so why are you even bringing this up? Yep nice metaphors, pretty good flow sweet feel and I love both R&E; subject matter's a bit lacking though, and nothing bad or evil about Bruno Mars.
Laurie12SlimShady 6 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady just asking. Dont know if everyone got on that album. I personally think his verses on there were top notch to anything i heard before. And the "All She Wrote" Solo version. Sick as hell.
973phoenix 6 months ago
@973phoenix okay no worries, just sick of his new sycophant fans that heard of him through rihanna is all. Yeah BME is great, have you listened to their old shit too? just crazy... Em had some clever lines on HTS, Royce keeps him in competition, but I hope Slim continues with the fastpace fire on his next album; liked him getting back to Shady on it as well.. less soft, just wish he got more into it emotionally (drug ballard tone vs IOE tone, abovethelaw vs TIC ) but it's only a mixtape really.
Laurie12SlimShady 6 months ago
@Laurie12SlimShady i love the old stuff and the new. i dont just like one era, i enjoyed his maturity. i look at this way, people change different day and have diff moods. i appreciate his different approaches. i love relapse. my fav is still marshall mathers LP. but i love them all. we gotta take account too that he has to please the mass media, not just the hardcore fans. money talks.
973phoenix 6 months ago
@973phoenix exactly the same up to the last two sentences... i think he just wanted to show he's matured, and prove it with unfavourable features, he doesn't need the money, i think Lose Yourself alone probably makes enough for him and Hailie etc to live off haha. hopefully he'll find a way to sell big on the radio and please real fans but i think he should (and now does) do it for love not money
