If Bush had continued to hunt down those in Afghanistan & Pakistan after 9/11 instead of running over to take over Iraq, this would likely now be a non issue.

This adventure is a complete waste of time. Certainly given how it is being prosecuted as a military first, rather than aid/development-first project.

There would have been far greater gains in Afghanistan, if instead of a policy of complete occupation, the U.S. led force concentrated on securing more modest holdings, while a fraction of said funds were instead spent on aid toward economic development and infrastructure.
