Some people are very judgemental. I love this, and especially with my 'nids, its hard to stay motivated when you know you have to paint 32 gaunts in your battleforce. This is a quick relief for someone who likes to play and have decently painted models. It's the difference in people. Some like to have their models done "Golden Daemon" worthy, and not play at all. Some like to have them just decently done and easy on the eyes, and command their army to play the game. It's a difference, people :)
really don't like dipping. you may get them painted but you will never like looking at them. no one will look at your nids and say WOW i wish i could paint like that!!. the only true to God reason why you might dip them is if you have a Huge unpainted army(that needs to be painted fast and you like the fighting part of the hobby better than the painting and don't care if they look like crap.
I must say you are very rude. I do like the look of my models and I am proud of them. Just so you know, I have gotten a many compliments on my 'nids at my FLGS.
its hard to tell from the video but it dont look like the stain went down into all of the lil cracks and crevices. like around the eyes, or teeth and places like that it looks like it colored the skin well but it dont look like it went down in the cracks. i could be wrong like i said it could be the vid but if it didnt go down in them try using a ink wash like chestnut ink or a black or even a brown it will get down inside those areas. i know u dropped one try vise-grips on the base so it cnt fa

I dig 'em. Gives them an organic look. I might try this tech on the few I have ready to be painted.

A word of warning though, they come out VERY shiny I haven't found a way to dull them yet. If I do they will look awesome.

Have you tried using a matte paint? I know vallejo makes a matte paint and I THINK GW has a matte called purity seal.

What about GW mat varnish spray, have you tried that?
