Actually, I like traction elevators more, since they're faster, more reliable, energy efficient, and less polluting than hydraulic.

Thanks, and I agree that Dover & Montgomery elevators are my favorites, along with American Signal & Federal Signal Thunderbolt. I agree with you disliking ATI sirens, and the off-brand indepedent elevator companies I don't care for much, since they're substandard.

I also love Montgomery elevators, especially with the blend of signal fixtures, but it's sad to see UT Austin's Montgomery elevators get modernized.

WONDERFUL FIND!!! I LOVE Montgomery Elevators with that kind of bell!!! (My grandmother used to live in an apartment building with Twinkie-M/Vector Fixtures and it had that exact same bell)
