Ele. Sempre ele, Gould. Delicadeza e correção de interpretação. Breve retorno Gould! Ainda nos falaremos pessoalmente. Até lá, vou ficando com sua presença nas suas surpreendentes e riquíssimas interpretações.
haha that is my quotation up there, I always thought his late recordings of mozart bit harsh and empty hearted ,and wondered how he unearthy and superb his Salzburg interpretation was ,how he who hated mozart could play his sonata like this ,
MANY THANKS TO GIOVANNI ! glad u tubers are so sensitive to appreciate this sublime interpretation of gould.he also performed the goldberg variations at this concert which I prefer to hi 1955 and 1981 recordings :)what a recital!
@amirmot baring in mind he hated live performance because he could not have full control over his performance !once a phrase played there was no way to change it,modify it,or edit it!!
but still his absolute control of structure and dynamics are apparent.what a creature and control freak he was!
An amazing interpretation--full of joy, cheer, and playfulness. Thank you for sharing this piece with the world. This is the best interpretation I have ever heard
Amazing to hear something Mr Gould did NOT like and still play it so beautifully. Awesome talent to be able to do such a thing. The music I didnt like, neither did anyone else by the time I finished it.
I could believe Gould played Mozart as this. It's the best Mozart I've heard because it's so delicate and childlike. It's somewhat tragic that in his recording he played it so differently.
And this guy claims not to have liked Mozart? Incredible. The very best interpretation of this sonata I have ever heard. Thank you for posting! I'm favouriting this one.

Ma perchè Glenn Gould non suonava Mozart sempre così ? In questo modo dolcissimo e magistrale?

hear gould's sigh at the very beginning. he certainly wasnt thrilled to play this, but it was the salzburg festival, so he probably couldnt help it
