  • I think Morgan Le Fay was mostly misunderstood than Evil, Morgause was known to be the evil one. :) I love how you put two out of three of my favourite legends into this!! My other being bbc merlin (:

  • In the end he wounds Arthur, who is taken to Avalon to wait until he is again needed, and mordred is killed and takes the form of a raven where he is reunited with his lost soul

This is my favorite version :)

  • What I've heard is that Morgause was Mordred's mother, but he wasn't raised by her but by a poor fisher family, until he was old enough to go to her. From her castle, he journeyed to Camelot to become a knight, and although he did, he was also manipulated by everyone who knew that he was destined to kill Arthur, Merlin, who made the prophecy, and by Morgana, who would love to see the king dead. He eventually parts with his soul so that he feels no qualms about killing his father.

    In the end, h

  • wow, i always loved this guy as Mordred, he was so perfect for it! the perfect beauty to hide the evil! excellent job

  • Mordred is so to my taste! :P

  • Nice video! Jason Done is so hot <3 The best "Mordred" in my opinion <3

  • that was awsome

  • O.O Oh wow, I love the song, but this video you put with it gave me goose bumps. Amazing job!

  • wtf something is wrong

  • Mordred from the Mists of Avalon was waaaaay more beautiful.

  • Loved the Merlin movie, and not as much but the apprentice one was cool too, always xpected T-rex to come out and eat merlin though =)

  • King Arthur doesnt accually die. It is said that he was taken to the magical island of Avalon untill he is once again needed.

  • @VampireQueen33 That was the first version I ever knew, that was like that. It said that he was raised in Avalon and neither Morgause nor were Mordred evil (I don't remember if Morgan was even mentioned there?). When he became older Morgause and Arthur grew to be close and then he had to leave to England to save his country. Through his journey, he saved Gwen from a dragon and after a while he met his future knights and made the round table (he had already taken the Excalibur from the stone).

  • No Offence, But I Think This Is A Bit Of A Botched Attempt. Two Movies, Which Is Confusing, The Music Is Chopped Around, And Jumpy, And The Effects Of The Video Really Dont Work. Sorry...

  • is this a movie?

  • it's a mixture of two movies "The Mists of Avalon" and "Merlin" (the Sam Neil version) hope this helps

  • thank u now i know XP

  • @SUPERxANIMExFRECK i think the scenes in this video are from two different movies

but i know one is from the movie merlin

wich i know is or at least was not so long ago

    uploaded in parts on youtube

  • @arny2211 well that explains it

  • @SUPERxANIMExFRECK you should type in merlin part 1 XD (its a mini series) but it is good i remember seeing it when i was a kid

and as you now know the other clips are from "ths mists of avolon" now you are educated :P XD check them out XD

  • Nice vid. The actor who plays the adult Mordred is captivating.

It astounds me how many people have left comments taking "Mists of Avalon" to be the end all of fact regarding Arthurian motifs. As well as the poor uneducated people who have not been told that the celtic arthur emerged after some of the french sources preceded them. Ok so Geoffrey of Monmouth does claim he only translated "History of the Kings of Britain" from welsh into latin but Mordred is still different in that.

    Great job

  • only in mists of avalon

  • lol i mean mother

  • this is wrong morgan le fay was mordreds sun not morgause

  • There are more Arthurian legends than anyone can count. In early versions of the legend Mordred is Morgause's and Lot's son. Then he was Morgause's and Arthur's with Morgause being his half-sister. Only later Mordred became the son of Morgana and Arthur. But in most versions Mordred is manipulated by someone to eventually strike down Arthur.

  • True that. In the earliest legends (History of the kings of britain) he's Arthur's sister Anna's son (they also have 3 half sisters). Though 90% of the time he's Morgause's son.

  • the mists of avalon is a film based on a fictional novel so that part won't be correct

  • I always thought Mordred's mother was Morgan Le Fay. I mean correct me if I am wrong and i am not trying to sound rude i just thought Morgause was Morgan's aunt? was it not?

  • Originally, Morgause was his mother, but in later renditions of the legend, it got changed to Morgan Le Fay.

  • ooooooh i see, i never knew that i always thought it was always Morgan Le Fay. thanks for the bit of info ^^

  • but in this version of the story, morgause takes mordred from morgaine, creating her own vengeance, so it fits in this video.

  • It depends on the version. There isn't really a 'true' or 'right', as its such a legend and there are so many versions. Some say it's Morgause, some say it was Morgan Le Fay- don't forget Hollywood likes taking convenient story short-cuts ;)

  • I really liked how you put togeter the clips from The Mists Of Avalon and Merlin. :)

My two favourite versions of the legend. :)

  • Thank you!!

    Mine also:)

  • Actually it was Morgan Le Fay that was Mordred's mother/arthur's sister. in the Mists of Avalon, Morgause was Morgan's aunt, and she's the one who raised him to be evil.

  • There are a lot versions of his mother's personality. As for me, I prefer Morgause

  • @MayaMayfair Morgause had biological sons, so it makes sense to raise Mordred in order to kill Arthur.

    Wicked!

  • ai una pelicula de merlin en la que mordred sale de jilipollas

  • bit too many cuts in the music

  • Its funny, listening to this song actually has you feeling like she's in the right, when in actuallity, she' s a crazy.

  • hehe...at last I understand why I like the song;)

  • Oh good, so it isn't just me?

  • beautiful and well made. i have tears in my eyes

  • oh, yes. His story is so touching...

    Thank you

  • Beautiful, just beautiful.

  • thanks, but more than thanks) it means a lot for me:D

  • Breathtaking . xxxx

  • huge thanks^_^

  • Awesome!

  • Thank you very much!

  • It's beautiful... i'm impressed.

  • thank you! that's nice to hear;D

  • Really beautiful,thank you kalimaab!

  • you're welcome;)

    thank you!

  • Is Guinevere Sarah from Terminator:Sarah Connor Chronicles?!

  • who plays the little kid at 1:12?

  • tell you the truth, I haven't inquired about it. the piece is from "the mists of avalon". perhaps you can find it in the cast-list?

  • Wow this song is so wonderful! I love it very much! It´s now one of my favourite ones! Did everyone know where I can download it for free? I searched it but did not found.... T_T

  • i could send u mordreds lullaby if u still want it or dont have it

  • Ah finally someone who knows the story behind the song. Thank you for uploading and telling a bit of the story. I've been trying to figure out the song for ever so thanks and great job on the video

  • thank you very much! you're more than welcome:)

  • What video did you use? It's great!

  • The adult Mordred, is he from 'Merlin'?

Great video covering a great legend :)

  • That's right)

    Thank you!

  • The quality of the audio and the video wasn't very good, but the video itself was really good. The clip choice was good, and I like how you didn't change them too often. Very good job. 4*

  • Thank you!

The quality is messy, that's a sad truth...

  • Hey!! Stephen King stole this story. Of course he took the name Mordred too so...I guess he wasn't tryin too hard to hide it

  • What movie is this from? I mean, at the beginning with that woman holding the baby, what movie is it from?

  • it's from The Mists of Avalon

  • i wonder how they got a little kid to play Mordred as a little kid?

  • you mean how little kid's parents could let his child play such bad character?)

  • no. i mean how did they explain to the little kid who he was playing as

  • perhaps they didn't confuse kid with the detailed story, but just told him how he should behave. I really don't know. Children are strange creatures, with their own logic, which, however is more reasonable sometimes...

  • yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

did you know, that in some legends Mordred

was not conceived in incest....but was a good

freind to lancelot, and helped him fight off arthur when he came for his queen(who didnt love him) and in celtic legends Mordred was

regarded as a hero...the french version is the

incestual stories of him...mere name soiling.

i love your video...Mordred will never be understood...i can sympathize with him.

people have lied about me...to soil my name.

    some people are pure evil

  • I've read a mention about another interpretation of his character, but didn't pay enough attention to it that time. That's interesting how history turns its favourites down with time. Perhaps Mordred is attractive because of possibility of having a good side in him, the glipse of early legends...

  • you got it...

history can turn good men into monsters...

and vice versa. he who wins the wars changes

what was once true, into lies....to give train

of thought...MORDRED was a man who choose

to side with lancelot...he chose love. I LOVE YOUR VIDEO SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you!!! I'm so glad...

  • People remember what they wish to remember.

    Winners write the stories.

IT all changes and twists who people were into people we remember them as.

  • I love this video! Its the best! Wish it was longer though.

  • Good things always end too fast) Glad you like it^_^

  • awsome! What movie was this? I remember watching it on TV whenI was a kid.

  • The movie called "Merlin"))

  • Also the one called "The Mists of Avalon" :)

  • wow! amazing one! <3

  • thanks ^_^

  • The actor who plays Mordred is absolutely breathtaking. I could stare into those eyes forever.

  • He was the reason why I started to understand Mordred's character better. He was not so bad after all...

  • You've used a very shortened version of the song, which threw me a bit, but I did enjoy the video nonetheless. It's very rare that this song is actually used for whom it was intended: Mordred.

  • Somebody should pay him proper respect at last;)

    Thank you.

  • After watching it I decided to study Arthurian world deeper.

  • I adore "Merlin". This move has great influence on my mind...

  • ..... parts of the song are missing, but all in all, a good vid.

  • Missing? As I remember I haven't cut anything. The song is in original state)

  • It still not the whole song if you look around on youtube you could find the whole song. It a nice video anyway.

  • thank you! gona find it...

  • sorry for the bug, I wanted to say it's been a while since I have been that enchanted with a vid, It's so great, and so magic. Plus the song is very beautiful. Thanks a lot for posting it !!

  • Not at all. I'm glad you like it)

And the song is really astounding. I wish I could find sometihng like that for Morgana's video...

  • Just one thing i forgot to ask you, what is the title of the movie you used ? I haven't seen it yet and after seeing your work I would like to see this version...

  • the title of the movie is "Merlin" with Sam Neill in the leading role...

  • It's been

  • Wow, that was amazing! U got some serious skills!

Minus the looong blackness in the ending.

  • oh, I know about it, but it's impossible to delete because of loosing quality...

I'm just enjoying myself, thank you)

  • It's really good except in the clips you're using Morguse is actually Arthurs aunt in the movie she raises him but her niece Morgain gave birth to him.

  • Thanks!

hm...strange, I've read that Morgause was Morgana's elder sister and that means that she was Arthur's sister too? Perhaps, you adhere to the "Mists of Avalon" theory?

  • wow, nice

  • thanks. I'm glad yu like it
