Thats bull crap anyone wanting to buy a bike buy what you want hell if you wanna buy a busa for your first bike by all means do it just dont take that bitch to its limits unless you wanna die being not so experienced, i started off with an 08 R1 and did well only dropped it 4 times and two of the 4 was in the living room cause i keep it in the house the other 2 were from being stupid praticing turns going to damn slow........so anyway go for it!!!
@tre4cuttie Hahaha..... I Started on an '05 R1 last august, and dropped it once (say April this year), making the same U-turn that I need to make everyday I leave my apartment complex. Slow turns are the hardest. I'd never ridden a motorcycle before then. Hopped on and rode it after my buddy explained how the shifter works. Easy as pie, IMO. That being said, I'm very gentle with the throttle when leaned over. I think that's the biggest concern for newbies. Respect the throttle AND clutch.
the R1 was the first bike i owned and seriously rode. i basically learned on it and to tell someone not to start on it is discouraging and insulting to their abilities. If you're not rich and do not plan on buying an bike every other year by all means start with an R1. Dont be an idiot and pace yourself and everything will be fine..
not important what we think.. have you test riden any of these bikes? very personaly choice. Personally i have riden both of these bikes and think the R1 is a more enjoyable experience.. the Zx10 is quite hard to master .. just my thought.. choose well.. ;)
i just watch 2 videos with same riders, yamaha r1 vs fz1 and busa vs zzr over 400 meters....
R1 - 7.096s 224kph
Busa - 6.718 229.10 kph
theres not as much difference as people would like to believe and on the track its alot to do with the rider, all those that say busa owns all are talkin out of there arse
I think that busa has a lil bit more power, but it is alos a bit larger and has a lil bit more weight.. (correct me if i am wrong, but i am to lazy to search for the weight)
i think that it is hard to tell the difference which one has more power but in the papers/ and seconds....
Furthermore, it has to do with the driver.. and the handling!
damn i love the look of that bike...and i think the best 1st bike is one of those motorcross bikes they are light and will help the beginner to practice his moeability and braking and all of that stuff..as for me i started on a Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa:D..now i find it boring to ride smaller bikes
Well... Technically, Planes are a much safer mode of transportation than Cars are. and I think even trains. lol. So lets not ride anything? ROFL. fuck that -_-
I love how so many people are telling beginners to get gsxr 600's or R6's or any supersport for that matter...This is the reason we all have to pay an arm and a leg for insurance on these bikes! The best beginner bike is something that has little power and people can learn the fundamentals. Ninja 250/500, Suzuki GS 500, Honda Nighthawk, etc. As someone else mentioned not "R" Series bikes. Buy a used beginner bike and learn to ride if you have not ridden before.
R1 is no bike for beginners it is a monster, I have a 08 black raven r1, I started with an R6 which is the way I reccomend you go, because if you accidently crack the throttle or down shift at the wrong time your ass is gone. Please dont tell someone who hasnt rode before to get a 1000cc bike way too much power for a beginner
@muharem86 ...to be honest i started on the r1,the best thing is to take your time and build up your confident and you'll be grand..i also ride the R1
it's too much power, you'll kill yourself, literally. start out on a 600cc like R6 or GSXR-600, trust me they are well powerfull enough to beat every car out on the street's, then you can upgrade to w/e u want in a few years.
If you've never ridden a motorbike before start with an 80cc-150cc dirt bike, something you can learn in the dirt with first, where it's a little softer lol. If you've ridden dirt bike before then yeah like ttsupra said start with a 400-600 cc so you don't kill yourself.
For your very first bike man? Well, I was told a GSXR-600 was the best choice. (I asked at my local dealer). Now, I personally believe anyone can ride any bike, all they need to do is take a proper safety course and learn how the bike runs and how fast it goes off the main roads. (like at a school parking lot or example)
The GSXR600 is a terrible bike to learn on. Any 'r' type bike has far too much power, the brakes are far to grabby, and the steering response is lethal fast. R bikes = gsxr, r1/r6, cbr, zx (kawasaki). Basically, any middle-weight or liter sport bike.
no, i think also its a arai. ich kann das logo gut erkennen, und ja, vom verschluss her und der form würde ich sagen das es ein arai ist. aber die lackierung gibts nicht original. mfg
Too bad your also wrong, Qatar is its own country in the Middle East. Look at a map once in a while, next time don't correct someone if you haven't a clue what your talking about.

Get a 400/500cc, Honda VFR 400 if you want a racer..
And for those idiots who are telling people that beginners should buy a R1 please dont comment becouse your gonna get them killed..
Few Examples
The R1 Slips, drags, throws you off if your not careful
The R1 isnt a joke, when you reach 7000+ rpm
its a beast
start slow and have fun building your skills!

I'd even bet a GSXR600 might be a bit much. Throttle is touchy, the brakes are lethal quick, and clip-ons are more responsive than a dog in heat.
