I'll tell ya what............."bleedin for tha blues"! this is the best stuff in the world! i have been listenin to borny for a long time and this is "down in the bottom blues. I love it man.....keep this up. LAWD HAMERCY!
Great AK stuff man! I know my fingers bled many times playing some of those bends but on the other hand... it helps to bend downwards like the man himself did. Great job!
I'd give ya top rating just for the blood man. But, I gave ya a Top + 10 cause that's awesome playing. There's something about finger picking that you can't get with a pick not only in tone, but, as a player, connecting with the instrument..
bornysblues, you are really doin the albert king man,you play very good!!,i love the tone of that strat, the maple top is sweet sounding man ;).I'll check out your other works.Keep it up,we could jam good together for sure.I've got a 1994 40th anniversary start,Gonna put some seymour antiquityII "surf" for strat pickups.Gonna add you, already rated it 5plus man.BLUES POWER
I do like the tone from this strat. What pickups does it have?? I've heard it comes with Tex. Specials. I have the SRV sig. strat and thoes specials have an amazing tone... these sound simaller but I think almost have a little brighter sound.
I really like your playin' son... I've listened to your Albert Collins stuff - you've got him NAILED too... I like your voice too... ha-ha Stay with it - you're already big-time on your way!
do u tune down a step??,,good stuff man,,keep it up!!by the way ,i heard albert tuned down 4 steps to c to get those monster bends...with heavy gauge strings,,also albert and stevie had huge hands..keep playin!!!!!!!!
Sounds great although more like SRV than Albert King. In order to sound like Albert you have to have 498T/500T minihumbuckers. Only the Les Paul Classic & Flying "V" have them installed.
sounds really good ! what amp did you use?

Man, I love to hear this. "Drowning on Dry Land" was one of the first songs that kicked me into loving the blues 40 years ago.
What else in the world expresses feeling like this music?

2 quick questions...you weren't playing the albert box in its normal position with root on second string, right? where exactly were you playing it?
and whats that song?
Prometheus985 3 years ago
I'm bending the H-string. The song is called "drowning on dry land"
Bornysblues 3 years ago
I'm assuming H was a typo and you meant G, right???
Prometheus985 3 years ago
hmm, maybe it's called the B-string in America. The one next to the thin E-string.
Bornysblues 3 years ago
@Bornysblues H usually means B flat, that is in other European countries.
hugleberthumperdink 1 year ago
@hugleberthumperdink
actually European H is American B and European B is American Bb ... crazy, isn't it?
Bluefinger 1 year ago
@hugleberthumperdink not...h is b and b is b flat in europe...as simple as that
N10BASS 1 year ago
@N10BASS always thought it was other way round - 50/50 chance. Cheers for the heads up
hugleberthumperdink 1 year ago
@Bornysblues H and B are the same thing, yes.

Bornysblues 4 years ago
You are doing a Great Job!!! You have a good
feel and great timing you should be proud, because very few young men have the raw since of feel and timing to pull this off,and you're
doing just great!!!! most youngsters try to
infuse rock fusion runs into Alberts style.
Instead it is raw pure feel and emotion. Not
gymnastics and hyper infused runs.

Who in the Hell, do you think SRV SOUNDED LIKE!!!!!! Duh!!!!! Although SRV was a brilliant Guitarist he'd admmitted to copying
his licks/style from his mentor Albert King.
This young man is doin' a Damned GOOOOD JOB
for his age. he sounds real seasoned, just wait till he reaches his peak.
