What I wouldn't give to have the NBA back like this, like it should be. Today everything is so robotic and emotionless and the referee's are complete and utter disgraces. The game is controlled more by the officials and the guys in suits rather than the hard working players we, as fans, pay and love to see. I'm not paying $250 for good, lower level seats just to see my favorite player get ejected for clapping to himself after he get's called for a foul that the ref got wrong anyway.
In today's game, both Barkley and Jordan would be ejected for everyone of their "love bumps". Then, the refs would just let it pass. Now we can watch this great footage of two legends going at each other.
Remember Lebron & Wade coughing in the 2011 finals? How the media sprung at that like freakin Watergate? Shows you how the NBA starves for true rivalry. Keep it going Mr Stern, and you'll end up with all nice, clean and boring games no one will come to see let alone remember.

Why are they looking for another Michael? They didn`t even find another Scottie or Charles. The only "bad" thing about Charles is that he was too lazy to lose some weight, because he could be even more agile and quicker. But he was brilliant player and unlike the Knicks or the Pistons he was fair-play fighter - to foul - yes, to hurt - no.

Alright people the League was more physical back then but at the same time offensive players now can't be as physical... I don't know how many of you watch but often when Jordan attacked the rim he used his off hand to push defenders and he did it in mid-air as well... I'm not criticising him for doing that because it was allowed but these days you can't do that, don't assume today's players wouldn't be able to handle the olden days because they would play it differently and adapt...

I get really sick of these Kobe/Jordan comparisons. I'm a MJ as well as a KB fan and as wonderful as a ballplayer Kobe is (the best in the Association), it's not even close.

@jdt917 The consistent field goal percentage too. Kobe scored 42 in a half. 55 in a HALF. 62 in 3 quarters but Jordan was just always on. He was mentioned among the greats right out of the gate. Came out averaging 28 and had 37 and 35 avgs two years in row. 63 against Boston still stands as the playoff record and that was 25 f'n years ago. When he got hurt and was limited to playing half the game he avg. nearly 23...... 69pts 18 Rebounds 6 assists and 4 steals in a game. That's insane.
