Mice arent afraid of being picked up they love attention but they are affraid of hights so they will not jump off your hand. But Remember to pick your mouse up by the tail but also put the other hand or fingers under-neath her for support and once you've done that and Athenas on your hand, praise her by giving her a pice of food. hope that helped!good luck! xo

Sometimes its hard to tell why Athena is doing this. Maybe she isnt used to her new home yet and is getting stressed out? Maybe you annoying her a little too much by poking your fingers in all the time. Not to be mean or anything, but think about it, what if you where in her position in a cage and your that small and someone sticks a large finger in your face. wouldnt you be scared? biting is the only defence they have. Usually that is the case, that they bite when they feel scar

I think they try to escape, my dear, because they are packed in there like sardines. I'd say your best bet is to get a second (or third) cage and separate males from females. The males should be okay, considering they live together now under cramped conditions.

most of my mice were pretty calm so I can't give you too much advice. I guess the typical tip would just be to try and handle them more, get them used to you. Then again, that might back fire and make them even more jumpy lol it might just be their personalities.

Do not keep 2 male mice together, they fight. sometimes a female and a male can fight too. this is what my mice did, until my 1 mouse died.

@luckycharms111111 If they r both boys u MUST separate them. I have had MANY mice get hurt or die in mice fights. Girls r ok. they usual fight over the boys in the tank. Its natural for mice to fight though!

TOO MANY MICE IN TOO SMALL A CAGE!!!!!! You really should have a bigger cage for them - this size is suitable for 2 mice only!!!!! I am a mouse breeder and I really think you will run into problems if you keep them all together like that - eg, boredom, fighting, fur plucking, chest infections because of ammonia, bullied or starved runt etc... Well, Best of luck with them - i hope you find bigger cages!
