  • Thank you for posting this piece....music should be played with those that have a passion to perform it...and if one does not appreciate it..that don't listen...

  • There are many transcriptions of various pieces from one instrument to another. This was NOT a piano piece transcribed for piano .... it was originally written for violin. Rachmaninoff transcirbed ...and arranged ... this piece for piano. And did a damned good job of it. "The Flight of the Bumblebee" was originally an orchestral interlude for an opera by RImsky/Korsakov. It's been commandeered by violinists, pianists guitarists and everything but bong drums. Transcriptions are common.

  • Excuse me but why would someone transcribe a piano piece for piano?????

Seems stupid to me. Why doesn't the transcriber just write his own goddam piece.

  • @renoraider2 well, why would rachmaninoff let only violinists have fun playing this piece? :D

  • There are a couple of other well known keyboard transcriptions of this Prelude which have been made, but this one by Rachmaninoff is my favorite.

  • it was composed by Bach and "Transcribed" by Rachmaninoff.

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Excellent interpretation!
