But which one is scarier, dolls chasing you or that moment when you realized a regenarator/ iron maiden is after you. This game is not Resident Evil anymore! It's just Leon in a haunted house filled with ghosts. Ganados are an exception because you have a lot of those challenging moments when your're just like "oh shit!' If they released this one rather than what we know, we would not be able to look and stare at Ada Wong's hot body!

This game does not feel like a "real" Resident Evil. It's too paranormal and a bit like Silent Hill. They scrapped this one because like I said it's too paranormal. Also the last scene of the early version shows Leon being killed. Capcom had to make a new concept that did not anger fans. I would rather have a huge troll, chainsaw- wielding people, gigantic fish, crazy people chasing me with pitchforks rather than a ghost hook man. This version is scarier (especially the dolls) continued up...

I have mixed feeling for this, one part love the creepy style of this, but i must admit that uber ghost/zombie is hard to kill, it seem almost unkillable at first, i don't really like that type of ennemies... But the atmosphere do feel way more like a Resident Evil... From the creepy setting, the action, perfect pacing, enemies, boss fights, QTE survival moments, I loved EVERYTHING. It seems to me though that All RE fans either hate RE4 because it's so vastly different from the old games and there's not even any zombies etc., or they love RE4 and hail it as one of the best games they've ever played. I've found that there is really no in between. For me, RE4 was an innovation that redefined 3rd person shooters while perfectly blending action and horror.

How can people say this version looks better? It looks like a generic Silent Hill rip off coupled together with the all too familiar camera angles from the previous Resident Evil games. Go to 1:48, look how broken those game mechanics look! If they would have stuck with this version, Resident Evil 4 wouldn't have been nearly as REVOLUTIONARY as it was on release.

And with Resident Evil 4 they had to make a serious change for the series to continue. The old games will always be special to me, but Resident Evil 4 was just amazing experience for me and one of the greatest games I've ever played. Resident Evil 5 however...is absolute SHIT!!!!
