Right now....the Bicol Express suspend its service because of Typhoon Nock-ten(Juaning)and to repair the eroded embankment in sipucot camarines sur...The service will return on September 1,2011(The eroded embankment in Sipucot will be replaced by concrete bridge)
It should be priced properly depending on the type of train. It does not have to be lower than the buses rartes. It should have economy trains. Make sure the maintenance is excellent. Please do not repeat the practice of former GM Prado who occupied one or two coaches for the families, cousins personal friends during holidays. Ang hirap magpareserve non. Akala mo ang PNR ay Prado National Railways. Nasaan na kaya napunta ang pera sa sale ng tutuban PNR properties. Nagtatanong lang po.
Looks like the engine is still the one used in 1950s that's why during the trial runs, it cannot reach the destination due to overheating and engine failure.

man can't wait to go home to ride one of our very iwn and newest train coaches. last time i rode the train from Legazpi to Manila along with my Fiancee it was back in Aug 2007 and it was such a filthy horrible mess to my surprise. the odor smell coming from its toilet was just terrible you didn't wanna breath as much as possible. i remember during my childhood back in early 70's the coaches were neat and fully equipped with ammenities and air conditions back in the modern days.
hahaha...yes ,kaya nya tumbasan ang comfortness ng mga Bus Sleepers....pero yung mga tao kasi gusto nila kung san sila nakatira dun sila bababa na kayang ibigay ng Bus kesa sa tren...sana kung may Bus Service parin sana ang PNR siguro sasakyan talaga ng tao yan.....kaso di na binalik yung PNR Motor Sevice eh...sayang..Go PNR!!

I do hope that there are future plans to offer destinations beyond Naga and all the way to Legaspi. ;)
