  • Bill Deal and I shared the same home room in high school, the chorus room.  He'd play piano every morning and sing. They were the best years. I sure miss his music.

    This music was big in the southeast.

    It was great mixture of 'soul' and

    rock n roll!

    This era ended with the end of the

    1960's.

  • @oldermusiclover Formed in Virginia Beach in 1965, they had three top forty songs in 1969: I've Been Hurt (U.S. #35) What Kind of Fool (U.S. # 23) and May I? (U.S. #39). Bill Deal died in 2003.
