I love Spun. It seems to me that this cover was chosen for this film to be about Ross' addiction. To me, the dream, in which Satan's work was done, is Ross' life. Satan's work is Ross' moral and psychological disintegration. The final stanza affirms that no matter Ross does, this demon of his will always come back to finish the work.

Or maybe I'm just over analyzing it.
