yeah, i worked at american apparel for close to a year, we're pretty awful employee's because our hours are bad and we don't get paid much! it's kind of a bummer when you have to work a 12 hour shift and a 13 year old girl walks in with her mother and buys 2 paychecks worth of clothes in under 10 minutes :(

Also, some of the cheap monday jeans are more geared towards women or men. I wear cheap monday jeans and ADORE them. one tip, wash them inside out to keep the tag from looking nice for longer!

Hey Barbara I work in retail if the belt was priced as sale they have to sell it to you at that price so I would go to an UO and take your receipt and tell them they overcharged you! Products must be sold at the price they are labelled at even if it's wrong, it is the staffs fault! :) hope it helps xx

Would it be okay if I got a size 10? I generally wear a size 12 and it fits perfect around my thighs and hips because they're quite wide but jeans are always loose around my ankles and calfs. I usually go to the American Apparel on kensington highstreet and the people that work there seem really nice! Haha, I've never had an awkward experience there.

I'm on my late 30s and about the Topshop cropped fitted t-shirt: I used to wear that style when I was 17 and the TV show Beverly Hills 90210 was popular (go watch very early episodes, you will see the girls wearing the high waisted jeans and cropped fitted top look with over-sized cardigans ;-) what we used to do was buy the t-shirts on the kids section (United Colors of Benetton was our choice ;-)

Totally agree about staff 'attitude' in shops! You would think that with the work situation the way it is here in the UK at the moment, that people might be grateful to have a job, and try to be a little more pleasant! Oh i totally get you about the whole clothes association with certain people too!
