  • SAAALLE!!!! alles klar?

  • INSPIRATIONAL,UPLIFTING WITH HARD EARNED DEDICATION IS APPARENT IN THIS BRILLIANTLY PLAYED WORK.I WAS DEEPLY MOVED BY THE PASSION OF IT ALL THANKS FOR SHARING GROS MERCI

  • She's amazing, her music is so beautiful and full of emotion etc...

AND I would totally do her.

  • Epoustouflant !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can somebody tell me where to find tgis music sheet? Thank you ;)

  • @FranciscaB15 Try imslp.org I found it here

  • @FranciscaB15 imslp.org

  • extreamly GOOOOD

  • very serious and deep, but the fugue for me is to nervous(to organlike). compare f.e. with a fazil say, his developping of the theme out of an almost schubertsche "himmlische länge" to a overwhelming finale- never heard this before (you can forget the original organ composition!)

  • She is just Fast Perfect To play Piano,(wy Fast?, because only the Infinity is 100% Perfect),and specially J.S.Bach and his cosmological Music for all Times.

I love the Way she plays classic Music.

  • This is a highly personal interpretation for sure but I think both Bach and Liszt allow for that. I find it convincing and beautiful.

  • can't wait for her concert in Dallas on November 20th.

  • @Abraeumer83 So you've said on other Lise de la Salle videos. Now go back to sleep.

  • very nice tone... but it doesnt remind an organ!

    good playing anyway

  • @manupee Computers were invented by a genius, so I think your kind of trolls shouldn't use it :p

  • tiny tiny tinny tone

  • Would it have been so difficult to upload the piece with the whole first bar?

Tante congratulazioni e buona fortuna Mademoiselle !

  • like

  • So beautiful, graceful, and elegant. Miss Lise is fantastic!

  • What a splendidly graceful style

  • ~ Wow! That was absolutely beautiful! Any naysayers criticising the lovely woman's technique for not being true to Bach's interpretation could consider the naysayers of the mid 1850's or so. There would have been those who would have thought that this could/should only be played on a harpsichord. Lise de la salle, you obviously have the expertise to make this piece work with your incredibly clean pedaling technique as well as your overall mastery of the keyboard. Brava to you!

    Ron

    ( ;-} >

  • I always loved this fugue, but I loved it how it sounds in my head from the score.

She is the first pianist from whom I like as it sounds on piano. Really great!

  • A truly great performance. I can almost hear the organ sound from this.

  • OMGWTFBBQ !!! O.O

  • OMGWTFBBQ !!!

  • Wonderful to watch this after an extensive look at the strange goings on at 4chan. Goes to show how beautiful the human "soul" is, that such wonderful artworks can be created. What an amazing sound! She has true skill :D

I've never watched a classical music video, but this just completely relaxes me. Happiness in musical form to be delivered here!

Whatever bad might come of people, there's always the good; the light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how problematic we people are.

  • The part starting at 6:23 is really incredible!!! can't stop listening ang gives me incredible shivers!!!!!

    Bravo Lise!!!!

Listend to other versions of this prelude and she is the only one providing this kind of effect!!!!!

  • my God..... Bach is amazing, liszt is helfpul and De La Salle is Magnificent!

  • Absoluement splendide!!!

    Bravo!!

  • C'est très très beau ... Bravo !

  • wonderful - and v sexy - Bach in heels

  • Yup - she does all the "right" things. Fluctuating tempi, subtly placed pauses, accented down beats to maintain meter...yup - all the "right" things. And somehow I am left cold. Is it me?

  • @lourak

    yes, it is you

  • @lourak I find it to be a very, very good interpretation. Which one do you prefer?

  • @lourak Undoubtedly it is you - that was absolutely superb

  • divin !

  • Great playing I would give you 1000000000 likes but I can only give 1 ;(

Whos is that man sitting over there?

Bravo.

  • To use a cliche, Lise de la Salle's Bach is so beautiful it hurts.

Her ecstasy, though, is never overbearing.

Within her, femininity and gravitas live happily side by side.

She has that big, glorious Russian sound without that big, glorious Russian inhibitions.

    She cannot play Mozart.

    God works in mysterious ways.

  • can't stop crying during this whole version ...

thanks liszt for having transcribed it in a perfect way.

thanks lise for playing it like if bach and liszt were inside your soul.

  • Doskonale, młoda Damo

    Doskonale !!

  • great, like glenn gould...

  • @quetzalandino What Glen Gould got to do with it?

  • i think its wonderful :)

  • John 3:16"For God soloved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life"

    It's your choice.

  • I hate you

  • 4.2.10 in dortmund

  • 0:58, there's a mistake

    (A G# that shouldn't be there i think)

  • Actually, it's a natural C, sorry.

  • She is playing so well;such a strong performance!

And yes it is a Steinway; but not a concert grand, upon which

she plays(maybe B model) Doesn't matter. She rocks the piano;and gets great harpsichord colors from it too.

    Fantastic!

  • Well this is certainly the most musical, fully detailed, nuanced, and pianistically controlled version I've heard yet.

I take issue with her super lyrical interpretation of the fugue, but she has such excellent command of her own intentions one can't but admire -- even if one disagrees with -- her realization of this tremendous work.

I would love to hear her Brahms-Handel Variations and Fugue. I imagine it would be spectacular.

  • I agree, her playing is so well thought out, one may not agree her interpretation but one has to respect the execution of her ideas. She is definitely a pianist to watch.

  • I think she is playing consistently with the fact that this is Liszt's transcription, not the original. Re the remark about the piano above, the piano does matter - there are very few pianos that have a decent bottom A, and this isn't one of them. That apart, I loved it (and her).

  • and mostly interpretation

  • this was good but poentinen's rips this apart in musicality. Je suis desolee :P

  • Poentinen takes too slow a tempo, which perhaps is suitable if you play on the organ. Lise de la Salle's tempo is the right one for piano with this transcription, in fact she succeeds in being much more dramatic than Poentinen's performance is.

  • The sound recording is not very well, same goes for the video, but what a magnificant performance!

  • But it's an steinway ! Just the quality of sounds is very bad.

  • i cant believe its an steinway

  • In the recording she is excellent. I like it here a little less, but maybe is the instrument.

  • Nice shoes beyond all.

  • the final of the fugue ( 6:24 ) gets me every time , so sublim !

  • bach...toute la musique est la !!

  • Much movement

    Few polyphony

    Bahhh.........

    lokopiano

  • who is the man watchinh her

  • her husband lol

  • No. He is too old for her.

  • The age isn't important to love XD

  • Traduction, please !

    Traduction, s'il vous plaît !!!

  • This language it's Serbian, and it says: The girl is beautiful, but too many smells bad in the Bach boredom. Smor! - Which would Belgraders said... I must admit that I don't understand what he means with "many bad smells" PDA: you should try the google translator it's really awesome!!!

  • Wow!

  • she is incredible,

    barvo jolie demoiselle!!

  • Divine. I especially like her opening statement of the fugue. Looks easy on paper, but deceptively difficult to produce this kind of tone and sensitivity. For me the hardest part of the fugue is that it is long thus hard to keep the audience with you til the end. Bravo to you!

  • Very good performance!

  • Wow!!! Incredible...

  • I was always taught that if you cannot say something nice, then do not say anything at all. There is never any reason to be rude, especially to omeone who you may not even know.

I find her interpretation of this transcription was well thought out and played quite beautifully.

I also find her quite beautiful.

  • That was very rude. She is beautiful, but not the genius you claim she is at all.

  • Maybe I exagerated someway my laud for Mrs. de la Salle. But, I mean, her technique isn't bad at all! Even if her interpretation leaves a lot to be desired her playing, in this video at least, is beautiful. However, concerning her air, there's no accounting for taste =P, personnaly, even if it's harsh, I can't bear her face.

  • you're both fucked

  • I see two great geniuses in this video, and neither of them are sat in a red chair.

  • Can you figure out that I needed three days to understand who the second genius you mentionned was?! Your sentence really obsessed me xD! Anyway, was a nice one!

  • Wouldn't that make four with the transcriber ? ^^

  • oh gosh, her fingers are exatcly like mine!

    great performance!

  • Bellissimo!

  • There's a mistake at 0:57, but it's an excellent performance.

Nevertheless i prefer Fazil Say's one.

  • you'd have never thought that Bach was this intense, but thanks to Liszt, it really doesn't get any better than this.

Hats off to La Salle for a most exquisite performance.

  • This is really great. Great transcription and very well played! BachScholar approves!

  • listening to her play this pieace is truely amazing. she is and great pianist.

  • Elle a quel âge là ?

  • 20 ans.

  • An absolute new entry in my collection

of rarely performed bachian works.Thx,for posting.

I guess F.Liszt personally would appreciate

this rendition.I dont't like this work but I

    did appreciate this performance.

  • She is a great pianist,no doubt but I have to say that the instrument she is playing on it is just great amazing! The sound of this instrument helps the pianist a lot.I think it is Steinway,I love Steinway!!

  • mi hai fatto venire i brividi, grazie mille

  • Wonderful performance. It is refreshing to hear a pianist break away from crowd of Bach purist (this is a transcription after all). Bach is great music no matter how it is played. This performance is well worth listening to. A pianist to watch.

  • I enjoyed this.-The playing does resemble Chopin, doesn't it?-I believe Liszt envisioned his transcription of Bach's organ fugue for piano(romantic instrument par excellence) with the performer bringing out a BIG SOUND (as one creates with a pipe organ) suitable for concert halls but where the tempo remains steady with few deviations. I play both these, and understand their challenges and their opportunities for individual interpretation which are what make them such magnificent pieces. - EdB.

  • She uses to much pedal for my taste.

  • I dont said that. The piece is bach.Nothing changes that...But because the transcription made by Liszt the piece has romantic colours. As you said Liszt tried to stay true to Bach. And something else. The piece sounds very very good but the piano is not organ. I think you mean the last section at the end with the bass notes. Anyway amazing transcription.

  • Liszt didn't change anything of relevance. He mainly trancsribed the notes played with the pedal on the organ into bass notes on the piano (listen to the organ interpration or check out the sheet which is free on the internet). It remains an orchestral baroque piece throughout. Whatever traits of "romantism" you might find in this work were already there (this is very different of Busoni's "transcription" of the Chaconne). Nothing justifies playing this prelude & fugue in a romantic way.

  • which BWV is it?

  • This is BWV 543 Preludium and Fugue in A, transcribed by Liszt Ferenc.

  • Sorry, Preludium and Fugue in a.

  • It's not romantic. Liszt tried to stay true to Bach. He wtranscripted it so that the piano sounds like organ.

  • Too romantic? Do you ever heard liszt?? This transcription made by liszt!!!! The piece is bach but the transcription belongs to great romantic piano genius FRANZ LISZT!!! Read books!!!!!

  • too romantic... that's not Chopin! don't like it anyway

  • This is awesome, like the tone alot and very nice tempo! 4,75 stars --> will be 5

  • She looks thin, fragile. But her sound is great!

  • How great isn't she?! She is borned 1990. ... No further comments.

  • She isn't! She was born 1988! But anyway, she's great!

  • she's great and she's my favorite. that's because i only heard her; a classical pianist. i recently know about her on kidteen news.

  • Who's the guy in the red chair??

  • i've played with her :)

  • played...a game of whist?

  • small hands, big sound! the fugue is well-constructed, she knows how to bank her fires...excellent dynamic contrast and precisely put together. She will go far, amazing ability for one so young. As for the nasty criticisms---a lot of sour grapes from the un-talented whiners!!

A méditer

  • Look people, she is trying to make it sound like an organ. It's not Romantic Bach, it is Liszt's transcription of an organ piece. That said, the interpretation is dull and this kid is way too immature a pianist for her to have a major recording contract. She plays like a talented student.

You wouldn't know sadness or joy if it bit you in the ass. Ribbit!

  • You hope I get blown up in Iraq? Fine. I hope your Algerian and Moroccan slaves blow you up next time they decide to riot. While your police stand around with their hands raised of course.

A MEDITER

  • Oh my godness! If i am a piano...

  • She has something attractive about her

  • DEESSE DU PIANO.MERCI

  • I'm in love.

Only one criticism (of either Liszt or Steinway, not Miss Lasalle): I've never yet heard a piano with a good bottom A.

  • CELA S ECOUTE SANS COMMENTAIRE....

  • et ca se fait comment que t'en a fait un a la fin?

  • LOL excellente question !!! ^^

  • This is a very good pianistic performance of an organ piece.

  • While you are spouting off your list of supposedly "authentic" pianists, fortepianists, and harpsichordists, you should know Bach wrote this piece for the organ. Learn something before you pontificate.

  • Let me note that what she plays here is not the original Bach, not Bach's Urtext. It's Bach in Liszt's transcription. It's not exactly the same.

Yes, the general title of the video is somehow deceiving.

  • wow, she plays very good, but the pedal makes some sounds a little bit unclearly, and she should take some passages a little bit more piano. even when its liszt.

  • what BWV is this?

  • The BWV number is 543.

  • thank you

  • Magnifiquo!

    Magnifique!

    Magnificant!

    :D

  • great!

  • I watch this video every day since one week. She plays so nice Bach,so much passion!I love her playing!
