I grew up listening to Jim Stafford and I miss those shows! He was so funny! I learned to play the banjo becsause of him. Is he still alive? I would like to find out some day. Does anyone remember a song that was on a record with a bunch of funny songs like, "If the ocean was whisky and I was a Duck," there is one song I am looking for about a guys last meal. If you know please let me know who does it, it has somthing in the song aobut " fried Skeeter Knee's" as part of his last meal. Thanks
I've loved this record for years but have never seen what Jim Stafford looked like before. I'm kind of disappointed that he looks nothing like the 'hillbilly' I imagined. This live performance is also disappointing as it is really poor compared to the recorded version we are used to.
Now you're making ME feel old! : o LOL! I remember when it first came out, does that tell ya anything about my age?!! Not sure what year, I think about 1973 or 1974.
